Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab - Washington DC Ratings and Reviews
I absolutely love Joe’s and have been here serval times and every time is better than the last. If you really want the full experience ask for Bridgette she’s amazing and will make sure you get the totally Joe’s experience. I had the seafood platter which was immaculate but you should also try there cream of spinach, seafood pasta, calamari and their bone in filet mignon which is exceptional. Also, don’t forget the corn bread. Either way Joe’s is a great choice and you won’t be disappointed!
This was delicious food in a gorgeous atmosphere. We ate at Joe's during a convention with business associates. (It would make a great "date night" too) Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the salads, appetizers and drinks were all excellent. The bar area is beautiful. I would recommend this to anyone visiting DC.
The restaurant was really nice and the waiter was cool! However, the food wasn't what I expected. I ordered pasta seafood and it was quite dry and bland. I also ordered Asparagus and they looked like scallion onions with asparagus tops. Needless to say I didn't touch them and the waiter didn't even notice. We paid for them, but it would have been nice to notice that it wasn't touched.
Unfortunately, I will not be going back because it's DC and of course there are several restaurants.
Absolutely fabulous evening! Food, service, ambience all superb. The fresh chilled seafood, especially the king crab (which is never frozen), was some of the best we have ever had. Dover sole prepped tableside is a must. Great wine list with a range of price points and very well crafted cocktails. Hubby said his old fashioned was one of the best ever! Service was unobtrusive and spot on. We were very well cared for and our server got every detail correct. We have been to the original Joe's in South Beach several times - but I think the one in DC is even better. This is our new favorite restaurant!
Food & Service were spot on and outstanding!! However our table was in a high traffic area which was distracting and had one of our party worried a tray of food would be dropped on his head. Suggest a different seating configuration. Will definitely return but will be requesting a different table next time.
My husband and I went to Joe's to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Our table was nice but the place is definitely not romantic. The waiter was trying to push the specials and seemed to get annoyed when we did not take is suggestions and we were not interested in ordering wine since we ordered drinks instead.
We have celebrated many special occasions in NYC and they have always treated us very special to commend our special times. They surely did not make our celebration special in any way.
Food was good so thats a plus. Would recommend but not for a special occasion.
