The king crab was fabulous, the coconut cream pie was outstanding. Everything was delicious. Great service. Wish we had one in Austin. The kids loved it too.
OK, I have to confess, I'm a big fan of Joes so unless they serve me a dead dog they are highly unlikely to get a bad review from me! I've been to all their locations nationwide and while Vegas is my favourite, DC comes a close second. The food is perfect, the wine list extensive and the service second to none. I'm on a holiday from Europe with my daughter and to be honest I only included DC on our itinerary because I knew there was a Joes there! I have to give a special mention to our server for the evening who referred to me as 'young man' on several occasions despite the fact I'm about to turn 50! Anyway, go to Joes! Oh and order Alaskan King Crab legs - don't forget that bit!
Excellent food and service
My friend and I had an excellent dinner at joes. We have fined at this restaurant before, and the seafood, service and experience is alway excellent. We had the oysters (always fresh), Stone crabs, madascar shrimp and Dover sole (complete with fish roe). A nice treat.
Food was excellent! Seafood tasted very fresh! Our server was great also helpful with her suggestions.
Great food snd service!! So glad we tried it.
I had family visiting from out of state and we didn't have time to change from the tourist dress (shorts, etc.) before going to dinner, so we weren't exactly dressed for dinner. Service was outstanding.
My nieces aren't "foodies" but tried the octopus and a few new dishes. Everything was excellent.
Excellent food, excellent place, excellent Service
We went to Joe's (first time) to treat our Papa Bear for Father's Day. The service, food, and ambiance was great! Would definitely go again.
Father's day dinner- it was very enjoyable. Got the very generous seafood platters (lobster, shrimp and delicious scallops, stone crabs and the Dover Sole. It was all delish but the sole was a tad too salty for my taste. Would def go back again and really had a great time.
One of the most enjoyable meals I've ever had. The service was great and the food was even better. That's saying a whole lot!
I enjoyed the food, but it was a little dark for my dad to see. Lighting issues.
Joe's was great! The stone crab is a great option for seafood eaters. I encourage you to have them heated before served (they come chilled). The brunch menu was awesome, with great pricing. We totally enjoyed our food, and I will definitely return for the Banana Foster french toast!
Upon arrival we weren’t welcomed by the hostess no smiling or saying high kept looking at us like what do you need kind of body language, the older man who lead us to our seat was wonderful Great place and the food was great as always, the server was outstanding very knowledgeable polite and professional knows his food, it’s always first impression and need to start from the person outside checking reservation.
The level attention and service that Oscar provided was exceptional! We had a wonderful experience.
My husband and I love the Joe’s in Vegas, actually it is our favorite Vegas restaurant. When we learned there was one in DC we had to try it. The food was equally as great as Vegas! My husband had the grilled seafood platter and it was fabulous, especially the lobster. I had the fillet Oscar and it was literally life altering. The steak was cooked perfect and they used king crab meat that melted in your mouth. For dessert we had banana cream pie and Havana cake. Both were good, but the Havana cake was the best.
The service at Joe’s is second to none. You truly feel like you are the only one in the restaurant, based on the service. Our waiter Jeffrey did a wonderful job making us feel special.
Joe’s pricing is very comparable to other nice restaurants, except we feel that the experience and quality far exceeds the final bill.
We would, without reservation, reccomend Joe’s.
As usual, my family and enjoyed ourselves at Joe’s. My favorite restaurant in the DMV.
Food and Food choices were outstanding. Happy Hour and Bar menu are probably best I have seen in and around DC. We went for our 30th Wedding Anniversary and it was a very nice occasion. Do not expect them to do anything special but it was very nice. Waitress was exceptional. Meal was fantastic. Highly recommend the Stone Crab and I had a wonderful Black Grouper. Will try Steak next time.
The first time I had been there and the food, drinks, and service were all amazing! I had the best server I’ve ever had, her name is Angie. I’m definitely going back! Great experience!
What an amazing experience. So I rented a private room for 50 to surprise & propose to my now wife back in March of 2015 which went perfectly thanks the professional staff. This past Saturday I made reservations as we were to celebrate our 1st year Wedding Anniversary. We went around 1pm although our reservation was for quarter of 1pm & were still greeted by a pleasant hostess & seated right away. To our surprise, the kitchen was serving Brunch so I ordered the delicious chicken & waffles that I couldn't even finish and I'm 6'2" 215lbs. My wife ordered the Flank Steak & Eggs dish(she loved it). The drink specials were half off so we both indulged in 2 drinks each, I had 2 glasses of bubbling white & she had some mixed cocktail with sugar on the rim that looked delicious! To top it off, as we were finishing eating(waitress boxed my remains) and the staff would politely remove dishes. The waitress brought us a complimentary brownie/ice cream dish with a single candle. This sentiment alone sent my entire experience & appreciation for this place through the roof as I know they had no idea that I had spent 2k plus years ago and were still so pleasant to go above and beyond to make our day so special!
Always my favorite place in DC! Food, ambiance and service are the best!
I went to Joe’s for Fathers Day dinner with my daughter and the Stone Crab claws. The ambiance is the typical expensive resturant. Very enjoyable. The food was very good. Everything prepared very well. The only negative is the cost is just excessive. My first thought was it was a class thing. I left feeling the same. I may come back but not for a while...
We live in Chicago and Joe’s is one of our favorite spots for dinner so we had to try Joe’s in DC as we have visited the Vegas location as well. As expected the food was excellent however the service was subpar. We started with the watermelon salad which was good however loaded with onions (not mentioned in the description on the market card). My wife had the fish tacos which were some of the best she has had and she orders fish tacos frequently. I ordered the Grilled Black Grouper and it was exceptional. Our kids ordered the grilled cheese with sweet potato fries and the mini cheeseburgers with sliced apples. Both kids entrees were great (per the kids) and came with sundaes. We ended dinner with key lime pie and after dinner drinks (we had to request the after dinner drink menu from our server).
Our service, while decent, was not to the level we have received at other Joe’s locations. We had to get her attention to order more drinks and it took over 15 mins to clear our table once we were all finished with our entrees. The restaurant was only a third full and she only had a few tables. Overall her responsiveness was very lax the entire evening while it appeared she was attentive to other tables. While we will return to Joe’s in Chicago I am not sure we will rush back next time we are in DC.
We had a wonderful time at Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab. The food wa great and Walter was attentive to our needs and helpful in making our selections by answering our questions. He was great. Joe's is a great place for get togethers. Thank you
Joe's is the best restaurant in the metropolitan area. I am always treated the best. The food is outstanding. The servers are professional; however, they make you fell like a member of the family.
Great service and food!
Fantastic! We have been to the Las Vegas Joes and were not disappointed by DC! Thanks for making my birthday so special! The bar area looked super fun as well...I had my daughter with me so I couldn’t go there but it was a lively and happening place!
I tried the fish for the first time. It was good but I’ll stick to a steak next time. Madagascar Shrimp is a must try and the king Crab Legs.
We had a lovely reunion with long-time friends, asked for a quieter part of the restaurant and were accommodated. We ate well and reminisced movingly in a welcoming atmosphere. Thank you for the rejuvenating experience.
This was our second time eating here. We had to come back to celebrate a birthday. The service was great. A bit pricey, the food was delicious. Overall the restaurant is a great spot. Bianca was the best!!!!
Service was EXCELLENT! Menu very impressive. But the meal was disappointing....each had halibut but one order was gray tail end that was very oily . Chef should have recognized this before serving it. Chopped salad was oily, tasteless and cheap looking. Would go back but definitely NOT order either of those items....felt bad for the server because it was not his fault for the disappointing expensive meal.
I love Joe's! It is always consistent and great food!
I would have given 5 stars all the way across but
we were seated by a very loud bus station on our last
visit. I had requested a booth for our anniversary and
had an early (6:30) reservation. Everything was great
except for that annoyance.
Dana the bartender was outstanding! Try her Old Fashioned...best in DC!!
Food was delicious and our waiter was very attentive. Will be going back!
This restaurant is a bit costly but the food is excellent. The ambiance is upscale and the service was excellent. My fillet was a bit on the small side but it was prepared perfectly. My lobster tail was also excellent. The drinks were perfect, as well. I will definitely be returning here for a special occasion.
This was our last meal in DC before we head back to Dallas and we are so happy we chose Joe’s. The service was exceptional and although we must have had the look of “we’ve never been here before, help!” our amazing waiter made us feel right at home and had great recommendations ready for us. Definitely a must if you’re staying near the White House 😊
Not even.close to the quality of food compared to Las Vegas or Chicago locations. None are close to the original in Miami. (This is a franchisee of the Joe's Stone Crab)
This was the least favorite location
Service was and always is excellent.
We came to celebrate my daughters high school graduation. Jeffery was our server and was wonderful! I wasn’t too happy to be swayed at a hi top table, wish when making reservation you would let me know this was the table choice. I would have asks for different seats.. These are not the nose comfortable seats for 77+ grandparents to sit and enjoy a meal at.
The food was great, the temperature of the restaurant was also quite cold.
