Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab - Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab one of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas.
It is located in Caesar Forum Shops and has delicious seafood and steak. I had the Stone Crab lunch paired with Sparkling French Rose, just wonderful! They give you good serving of Stone Crabs, great sides of coleslaw and hash browns, along with Banana Cream Pie for dessert all for $34.95, that is a good price. I recommend Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab
in Las Vegas highly.
Place was packed on a Saturday night, which seems to be the norm, and one thing I can appreciate (as compared to those cramped, two-seat steakhouse tables) was the respectable distance between tables.
The filet was a bit stringy and paled in comparison to so many other Strip establishments, and beware if you order a smaller entree like the crab roll at dinner, for you might get a reaction from the server (I was privy to the look, and my wife had the privilege of hearing it in his voice, as he was over her shoulder). I shouldn't have to apologize for feeling a little under the weather that afternoon and lacking some of my appetite; it made me self-conscious for the remainder of dinner.
Overall, I might have been inclined to try it again under better circumstances, but the food just didn't wow us enough to concern ourselves with such a thought. It will survive well enough on other Joe's.
We had our trip planned to Las Vegas and all we needed was a good steak house to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I took to Yelp and started my research. Joe’s was one of the first restaurants that come up on my search. With over 2,000 reviews and having a 4.5 star rating we decided to make reservations and give it a shot. It’s conveniently located within the Cesar’s mall area and is very easy to find. Once inside you don’t even know you are in a mall. The ambience reminded me of an old school steak house, dimly lit, dark wood décor and white table cloths. One of the main reasons we chose this place was because of the Stone Crab. We are big fans of crab but have never tried the Stone Crab. We had the Stone Crab as an appetizer which was perfect. They come in small medium and large. Your server will recommend the large because they are easier to handle but they are the most costly. Speaking of cost you shouldn’t go hear looking for moderate price tag. It’s a bit pricey (as is any decent steak house) but that’s ok because the food is very high quality. After the Stone Crab we were each served our main course. My wife ordered a Petite Filet and I went with the Rib Eye (No bone). We were both very pleased with our steaks from the flavor to how it was prepared to our liking. I order all my steaks medium rare and my wife orders hers medium. Both were perfect. I had a baked potato and my wife had a sweet potato as a side. Can’t really mess those up and they didn’t. The only problem with our meal was the fact that we each could not finish our steaks. We may have over indulged in the bread basket beforehand. Our service was pretty good although we kind of got the feeling our server was disappointed we didn’t order a bottle of wine over just two glasses of wine. I could be completely off but that’s the vibe we got. Overall though I would not hesitate to come back to Joe’s and probably will every time we come back to Vegas.
We are returning customers and once again our meals were great. The seafood is always fresh and well prepared, the steaks cooked as ordered and flavorful. The waiter had a good knowledge of the wine list and service was attentive but not overbearing. He kept the pace of the meal unhurried despite the restaurant being quite busy. The atmosphere is energetic as you would expect from a fairly large room. Overall, another quality dining experience.
Absolutely incredible meal. We are here 2 years ago and loved it so much we came back this time again.
I had the seafood grill and partner had the steak and had sides of fries, brocolini and mac and cheese. All amazing. Setting is really nice and we sat inside near to the bar. Would highly recommend!
This place never disappoints, i hit it every time i am in Vegas and will be hitting it in Chicago in a few weeks. Food is always superb and the service is great as well. One of us ordered a steak medium well and it came out pretty overdone, the waiter saw that and put a new steak in right away, we didn't even have to ask. They have serving you an amazing meal with top notch service down to a science, would recommend for ANY occasion.
Excellent meal seafood fresh the service good and quick wine list excellent ambiance’s outside Terrance noise too close to each other table difficult for the waiters to get around table without disruption to the other guest table high pricing high average was 300/100 ea for party three people and we shared the seafood to kept coast down without the glass of wine another 40 dollars 3 glasses however overall a good experience thank you
Very expensive for portion sizes.
Overall was not a good experience. We were a table of ten and two of the steak orders were wrong, one was not ordered with the rest of the meals and the other had to be sent back twice to be cooked as ordered. We also found the side dishes to be very small, really only good for one person, yet they were priced quite high.
Also had a dish of mayonnaise spilled on 2 of our parties backs and the first offering was $5 in an envelope(?) but later after we mentioned that this was a bit of insult as this would not even cover cleaning charges. So then a manager came back and offered to remove the 18% gratuity which is automatically applied to every bill. However this did not seem fair to our waiter despite the other issues he was good and we didn't think he should lose his tips for the entire table. Overall not the experience we were all looking forward to...
