Stone Crab

Fresh stone crabs are found in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. They are hand harvested, one claw at a time, and thrown back to the sea. Joe Weiss, and his wife Jennie, discovered this unknown delicacy in the early 1920s, and soon after, began serving them at their restaurant in Miami Beach. The Stone Crab claws were the best! I got the grilled seafood platter and it was delicious and at a good price! The fried green tomatoes were good. My husband got the 16oz ribeye and it was alright. We also had 1 Kona beer, 2 Sprites, and 1/2 Banana Foster-1/2 Peanut Butter Pie (which were both delicious!!) And the bill came out to $287. Overall, it was a good meal and experience!

Not to have the large Lobster at a seafood restaurant was disappointing. Extremely embarrassing not to have contactless payment available, meaning we had to pay by email. On the positive side our server was extremely helpful.

Steaks are exceptional . Our service was poor. The server was more concerned with the table next to us which was a larger party and really forgot about servicing us. We’ve had dinner at this restaurant many times and this was the first time the service was poor. Not the experience we are use to.

We are not seafood eaters but wife loves the spinach so when we go it’s that and steak and potato. Even the salt and pepper mix flavoring is a huge hit with us. Hot fudge on top of vanilla ice cream to end the night. Left full and happy.

Great service, but lackluster seafood. For those who never eat crab or seafood, it is probably good trying it first time, but the stone crab and king crab really don’t have much sweet taste I expected. Instead of just chilled seafood, I recommend other cooking style like grilled or baked like lobster.

We had the jumbo crab claws which were amazing but the crab legs were over the top great. A bit pricey but a real treat. Chopped salad was good even tho they forgot to leave off the feta. Lamb chops under cooked but they took them and cooked more. Our wait staff offered amazing service. I would go back for the crab and the service.

I would fly to Vegas just to have dinner at Joe’s. Had the Chilean sea bass last night and in my opinion it’s the best meal ever. Tomorrow it’s the king crab.

This is one of our favorite restaurants when we visit Las Vegas twice a year. Their steaks and seafood are absolutely delicious, and you have to try their key lime pie! The servers are courteous and friendly, and always tending to our table. I highly recommend!

This is an upscale restaurant which I do find very disappointing. I had the stone crab which is their specialty. It was $90 for six small pieces which yielded about 1/4 cub of actual meat. Horrible value. I only ordered it because it was the specialty I think it was the wrong choice. Not good.
