Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab Ratings and Reviews
Poor check in, hanging around for the table for 25 mins unable to get to the bar for a drink as diners were seated at the bar.
Otherwise excellent service and high quality dining experience, not cheap but as always if you want quality you pay for it.
South African wines on the menu very well priced.
Slow service this time.
Paid for a pie when I had a comp promo text.
Waited too long for drink refills.
“Crispy brussel sprouts were “burnt charcoal”
Coffee tasted like weak tea?
Deep fried Shrimp had no flavor.
Onion strings were great, fish and chips was great, salmon was great, creamed spinach was tasty, homemade lemonade was very nice.
Waited about 20 minutes to get comp pies “to go” to get packed even after we received and paid the bill.
I honestly feel a 20% tip was not earned.
Joe’s never fails to satisfy the 5 senses. The food is melt in your mouth GREAT, and the service is 1st class. Just a few blocks off Michigan Ave, the River North location is perfect for access to the city. Food prices are par for the course for an upscale dining experience. Excellent spot for a special date night, or just an excellent dinner.
Our meal at Joe’s was outstanding. Our server, David, was excellent. He was attentive and knew the menu. The food was delicious and prepared as requested. David’s personal service made our experience exceptional.
We have eaten at Joe’s numerous times and we are never disappointed.
I couldn't recommend Joe's more. My husband and I had a perfect evening. It was our anniversary and upon arrival at our table, they brought us champaign. And lemon and hot towel between each course. Absolute class. The service was incredible. The seafood was amazing. We tried stone crab claws for the first time. I highly recommend trying them if you haven't. They are so sweet. And I highly recommend Joe's. It couldn't have been any better!
Wanting for my daughter to try stone crab, and hearing good things about this place we went on a Friday night. Our waiter even brought out a couple legs to try before we ordered. Nice touch I thought. She ordered the large order and I ordered crab cakes due to a special diet I'm on. Excellent food.
Later Paul Ritchie the manager stopped by our table, and we joked about him not singing Happy Birthday to the ladies seated next to us. I told him we could do a duet and clear the house. He told us we would have dessert, I was surprised and happy . All in all , a great experience that we will do again when we are in Chicago. Thank you to Paul and his staff.
It was my first time visiting and I did enjoy it. The food was well prepared and plentiful and the wait staff were all attentive, courteous and thoughtful. The coconut cream pie was "to die for"!!! So glad I got it to go so I could enjoy it on a less full tummy and make the loud/audible sounds that shouldn't be heard in the restaurant and only in the privacy of home!
I came here for the first time on my birthday, January 11th. This was the single greatest dining experience I've ever had. The service was impeccable. The ambiance was relaxing. The staff were warm and friendly. I ordered the porterhouse with Alaskan king crab and fried asparugus. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection. I ordered it medium rare. It was so juicy and tender on the inside but had a wonderfully seasoned crust on the outside. I am not exaggerating when I say this. The first bite actually caused a single tear to run down my cheek. I had never truly tasted steak until that moment. This is my new favorite restaraunt in Chicago.
