Enjoyed my Birthday dinner! No stress beautiful meal!
Highly recommend Joe's for good food good drinks and an overall good time.
Have never had a bad meal at Joe's, always top notch!
Consistently excellent food and service! The four of us had a variety of menu items from crab-stuffed shrimp to fried chicken to beef tenderloin and everything was superb.
Arrived at 9 pm, waited 15 minutes to be seated. Horrible service from start to finish. Had to remind server numerous times what we were missing or needed. Stone crab was clearly frozen. Meat sticking to shells. Bread was dried out. Just not the usual excellent food quality I expect from Joe’s.
We had a great first experience. Daniel the server was fantastic.
Steve Green was an absolute class act and over the top knowledgeable with any question we threw at him and there were a lot. And service to boot.
We had a a fantastic dinner! We loved the food and the service!!
The service was amazing with Parker our server
Awesome food and service!
Always the best in the city. If you have any reason to eat here you should.
Gods was my server tonight and she was incredible!
great for lunches .............I recommend king crab and stone crab claws to die for :)
Food was amazing, service was great, would recommend and return next time I am in town.
A classic room with walls plastered with photos of celebrities and Americana. Coppola could have filmed a Godfather scene here. Waiters in tuxedos are wonderful old Chicago. The seafood is responsibly resourced, carefully prepared and beautifully presented.
A great mix of people and friendly energy (more post-millennials dressed for special occasions than in the past…they have money. Also, dress codes everywhere are more relaxed. Tourists(?) and others proudly wear Bermuda short into upscale but unstuffy restaurants now.
Enjoyed Steak and Tail, my filet (6oz) was not the most tender but was enjoyable. Lobster tail tender and sweet. Grapefruit margarita brings a taste of south Florida and is superb. Their famous key lime pie is not to be missed. Hemingway haunts the place and would be pleased…and would wear Bermuda shorts.
We waited to be seated for about a half hour. The food was Good but overpriced. Service was excellent.
Service was incredible. We had the king crab legs awesome!!
My wife and I have birthdays June 9 and 11th and we live a couple of blocks from Joe’s….where else would we have gone? ….and we do frequent Joe’s year round too.
We were in area and so went for early dinner. Everything outstanding as usual
We had a great time at Joe's Seafood. The services was great and the food was excellent. We would highly recommend Joe's Seafood to anyone looking for a great dinner experience.
Awesome food and service

Amazing every time!!! Love coming here for a great meal and service!!!
While in Chicago to celebrate a birthday, our group of five dined at Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab. Having been to the Joe's in Miami Beach and Las Vegas, our expectations were high. While the ending of the pandemic and recent reopening had an effect, the prices were much higher than before. However, the food, drinks, and service did not disappoint. We started modestly with a few drinks, and a couple of appetizers. The wines were great, and I ordered a Joe's Signature G&T. The gin and tonic was well balanced and unique due to the grapefruit accents. I suggest it if you like G&Ts. The jumbo shrimp cocktail was top-notch, while the charred octopus with arugula greens was outstanding. Three of us split an order of petite-jumbo stone crab claws, and a special 24 ounce six-month dry-aged, bone-in ribeye. The steak was outstanding! The other two had filet mignon steaks that were prepared perfectly. The only issue was one of the crab claws had hardly any meat, but the staff quickly remedied the issue. We finished by the table splitting slices of Key Lime, blueberry, and Boston cream pies. The birthday guest was treated to a brownie and scoop of ice cream. If I remember correctly, our server's name was Michael. He was attentive without being pushy. Truly a memorable dinner and enjoyable evening.
Ambience what one would expect for the type of restaurant. Service was fabulous. Food was wonderful and would definitely go back. Not inexpensive but knew that going in so all good
Food snd service were outstanding as always. Our go to for special occasions!
The service was awesome. I still miss the better bread that you use to have. They offer it in Las Vegas but not in Chicago.
My stone crab claws were very hard to get the meat out of them. Usually I can get them easily. The sweet potato was under cooked.
All the other items served were great.
Excellent service with keen attention to detail. Wonderful, Welcoming server presented great options.
Wasn’t satisfied with anything there I would never eat there again
It was my sons 30th birthday, and we had a wonderful time celebrating but our server was not pleasant at all. We do not drink alcohol as a family, and as soon as it was revealed to the server we would not be drinking, his attitude soured immediately. The rest of the experience was very unpleasant with the server, who was extremely uninterested in waiting our table. The rest of the staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating but it is unfortunate our server had such a lasting effect on our dining experience. Not to mention, we still ordered many pricey shellfish appetizers, prime steaks, and seafood entrees. Adding alcohol to the bill would have been a minimal expense in comparison. It appears as Matt Mayer has left, who was a wonderful manager that prioritized the customer’s experience, the wait staff’s care has left as well.
Great place to dine with a wonderful staff. Everyone was great at this establishment, from the start to the finish of our dining experience. The food was well done and very tasty.
I have been to the original Joe’s in Miami Beach and this one did not disappoint.
