Even after accepting my reservation and asking me to confirm it twice, this place is Permanently Closed, which is what the sign on the door said when I arrived.
The restaurant was closed the entire day of July 4th although the reservation was confirmed with a reservation confirmation number.
First time there, and the last. Food was good, Portion was small for the price. Good beer selection. The waiter told us the Franklin location is closing its doors July 7, 2019
Nice place fast service
Stopped in for a quick bite
Food was great
Service was excellent
My sons steak came out burned the first time. My dinner was “ok”.
The salads are delicious - everything is freshly made and a great value. This place is a great alternative to the 99 or Chili’s – slightly more expensive but feels way better for you.
Our server, Bethany, was wonderful! She ensured we had all we needed; even our 3 1/2 year-old-granddaughter received the best treatment!
We had a good time. Big party to handle and the staff did a great job. Excellent food!
Mother’s Day . Gave rose all ladies
More quiet than usual. We were seated upon arrival and a server came over to let us know that she would be with us in a moment. As promised, she returned and took our drink order. Upon returning with drinks, she took our food order. Food arrived promptly according to our expectations. The food was very good - hot, tasty and fresh. Service continued to be excellent and attentive. No dessert as the entrees were quite filling. Overall a great visit! Thanks!
The food quality really has gone down. Our waitress was not attentive. Offered water refills that never came. We were never offered bread or checked on. Very disappointing. Chicken sandwich was nothing special and the tomatoes made it look pink in the lighting in there.
Good, quick service and a decent meal -- exactly what we were looking for!
Late supper and another very good experience. The food was very good and the service was exceptional. Kori was amazing and took great care of us! We'll be back! Thanks!
Wasn’t a fan. Not only was the check in experience poor when we were shown to our table it was broken
I ordered a prime rib that was tepid when served up, had no taste and was not enjoyable. The fish tacos had very little fish in them.
They had to bring my steak back three times then my fiancé lobster roll taste spoiled I was shocked because I am from Boston and we go to joes in Dedham and never had these problems the staff were very helpful but the food was hurtful my valentines weekend
We enjoyed our meal and our server was excellent. However the music choice was odd and loud to the point of being distracting from our meal.
13 dollars for a glass of Sangria. I thought it was poor value . We got the happy hour apps. They were priced right for what they were. The Queso dip Queso dip was excellent. The onion peels and buffalo chicken tenders were way to salty. I didn’t even eat the onions. Our server was excellent.
Haven't been to Joe's for a few months. Stopped by and had the sausage eggs benedict--outstanding. Eggs were poached perfectly, sausage had a little kick to it and the side potatoes were excellent.
Very nice dining experience! The food and drink were very good, as was the service.
Great! Stopped in for a business lunch. Nachos were amazing!
Service was great. Food was good. Little crowded, but if you’re looking for a good restaurant you should always judge it by the crowd right? Will be going back again.
I booked a reservation for 20 people after my wedding rehearsal, as I wanted a good restaurant within driving distance from our venue. The management at Joe's worked with me every step of the way, were very timely to respond to messages, and overall did a fantastic job. The food itself was delicious, and the wait staff were very organized and kind. Fully recommend.
We live across town and Franklin. My wife and I have not been to Joe’s for several months. We decided to give it a try. Both of us were disappointed because the ribs were well over cooked. While they did bring us replacement ribs, one would have thought that the manager would’ve tried to accommodate us and give us 50% or something like that off the bill. He did not offer us anything. Not so sure that Joe’s would be at the top of my list for another dinner outing.
We went to Joe's after making a reservation on a Friday evening expecting it to be busy. This location has easy access from 495 which we thought made it a good choice for a quick bite to eat. Our experience was not like past experiences. The restaurant was very quiet at 7:00 and uncomfortably cold. They did adjust the temperature but their system turns off once it reaches a certain temperature, quickly becoming cold again. Other diners had their jackets on as well.
Our waitress Mystic was friendly.
However, our food order for such a place was very slow.
While we were dining, a staff member vacuumed the area surrounding our table. This is not only annoying but disgusting. Vacuuming should be done when no guests are in an area, or before and after business hours.
They messed up the appetizer. We waited over 30 minutes for the meal and the manager came out to say the meal was over cooked? How do you overlook pasta and a salad? Very poor.
They just added new items to their menu and our selection were excellent.
Chicken piccata was not great. Chicken was tough and not flavorful.
We are former colleagues, present friends living on the Cape, the Vineyard, Natick and Upton, so this is a middle ground for use to meet. Our waiter was responsive, but annoyed all of us by calling us, "dear", "my dear", etc. We found this offensive- He doesn't know us and it's patronizing. The food wa fine- the bread nice and hot and fresh. We asked for the very loud music to be turned down and when I asked a second time, our waiter said he'd turned it down. It wasn't obvious! We were not rushed, he sound up having a better sense of humor at the end, but it would have been a lovelier meal had the waiter not been so "endearing", or if the music had been lower. Good variety on the menu and everyone was satisfied with their meal.
Had not been to this Joe's but had liked others in the past. Mixed drinks were $9 and most apps were just at or just above $10. Our App and bread came at the same time and two minutes later our meals came. I had to search for the waiter for another drink that by the time it came, I was almost done with my meal. I usually don't write in these things but after paying ~$100 for two people, I felt I needed to.
Excellent service. Got my favorite honey chicken salad. Lots of good ingredients!
Another good visit. Friendly, efficient service with decent food. The calamari tasted a little fishy with the fry oil tasting a bit old. Otherwise the other meals - meatloaf and buffalo chicken strips - were fine. Overall a very good experience.
Great place for brunch! Great food and service. We will return!
Bartender couldn’t get our martinis, as ordered. Sent the first ones back and the second ones weren’t any better. Choked it down
Waitress was very attentive and apologetic.
Our server was the best!
Overall a solid visit to Joe's. Service was great - our waitress was friendly, professional and attentive. The food was good - Appetizer calamari was great - not too oily and just the right crispiness. Entrees were great as well - my NY Strip was cooked perfectly and had a nice, spicy cajun rub added. Desserts were filling and delicious. A little noisy, but it was a Friday night, which was to be expected.
Unfortunately, our hostess seated us at 8:10 for our 8:15 reservation in the back corner of the dining room nearest the bathrooms.
By 8:30 no server had come to our table. There was less than 12 other people in this very large restaurant at the time. We had been traveling all day and were tired and hungry and we had been looking forward to a meal at Joe's.
When we left the restaurant, the hostess standing at her station visiting with another worker, spoke to us with "Thanks for coming in." We have eaten at Joe's in Boston and had a great experience however this location on this night the service was disappointing. Also, they put us in as a no show on Open Table. :(
Sadly, I am unable to give anything but a poor review. We live locally and chose Joe’s for a special occasion last Friday night. We arrived at 8:07 and ordered drinks and some appetizers and my son ordered a dinner. At 9:20 we still had not been served our food. Although our waitress apologized five times, and she was sympathetic when we asked to have our food to go, we still were given a full $90 bill. When leaving I asked to speak to the manager but was told that she was busy and that she would get in touch with me. I also left my concerns on the website feedback form. I have still not heard anything back from either my local restaurant nor the corporate site. So, Joe’s ruined an important occasion, took no responsibility for it nor did they offer any compensation for bad business. I can no longer recommend this restaurant as they have lost me as a customer. Bad management with no regard to customer satisfaction is a bad combination for $100+ night.
Our waitress - Mystic - was wonderful and totally accommodating, especially since one in the party made a request to separate the check 6 ways. She could not have been more hospitable. Wish I lived closer - would go again in a heartbeat!
We typically visit this location because the food is generally good, although the selection seems to be lacking recently. We were here for Mother's Day- The restaurant was moderately busy, but not over the top. Our waiter was very forgetful- we had to ask multiple times for things (he asked us if we wanted bread, but never brought it- we ended up asking the person, a different person, who brought our meals again after our meals came) and he took a long time to return to our table after we had asked for something. Also, my husband was sharing his dish with our daughter and we just asked for an extra plate when we ordered. I think they thought they were helping and brought over two dishes with with the dish split into equal portions, but this wasn't ideal for us, since our daughter doesn't eat a whole portion- we were just planning on giving her a small amount.
Normally we enjoy our experience at this restaurant- it has my husband's favorite dish, buffalo mac & cheese. This time, the service was just so slow.
