Another good meal at Joe’s ......I have always found the food to be consistent and the service was great!
Usually go to the Dedham Joe's and have a very good experience. Our experience at Framingham was not up to the same level. The quality control seems to be lacking. Ordered the nachos and some of the tortilla chips tasted stale. The bread to a while to come out but then didn't seem cooked through. Ordered a medium well NY strip but had to send it back because it was too bloody. It came back unevenly cooked. The icing on the cake was the dirty cup used for my child's ice cream cup. Won't be visiting this location ever again. I was grateful for the waitress that tried her best to make the experience better.
We had a really nice meal in the bar area. The service was excellent. Not too little not too much. The food came out exactly as expected. No complaints.
We were early for dinner so the restaurant wasn't quiet. Service was very good, our waitress very attentive. Our meals were also quite good, chowder and French onion soup to start; salmon and lobster roll for entrees. The crème brulee a little disappointing but otherwise just as we expected.
The food is pretty good. Their bread is really good. The service was super slow but our server was nice and did a good job.
Good food, great service, location is starting to feel a bit tired, but it's always a dependable choice.
We celebrated dads 88 birthday - Tamara was awesome and will request her and the room we had - we drove up from Hartford. We will book again for the end of March for moms 83
We shared the mussels appetizer. We will return just for these, they were simply delicious!! Also ordered chicken and broccoli penne and fish and chips. Both were great. Service was friendly and very quick. Thought wine was a bit pricey but really no complaints, we’ll be back.
The restaurant was in dire need of a facelift. Rugs looked dirty and worn. The food was not presented well and had no taste. Our waiter was great. Very disappointed as I loved Papparazzi and Abe and Louies.
Joe’s is always fine. Good sandwiches, burgers; the Devilish Eggs app was tasty today.
We reserved for brunch on New Years Day. We arrived a little late but our table was available, in fact the restaurant was not too crowded at all. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I had the lobster frittata which was good but I think my husband made the better choice - the cheddar omelette which also came with really good fries - I helped! -and an English muffin. Our coffee and cappuccino were both good.
We have frequently eaten at Joe's in Needham with our whole family, and have been pleased in the past. However, last week our experience was not satisfactory. Our food arrived at different times, and some of the food was not properly cooked, specifically, the children's pasta. In addition, the Cobb salad lacked some of the key ingredients. WE did report the pasta problem to our waitress, and the manager did take it off the bill. The other meals were satisfactory.
The waitress was very cheerful and pleasant, but did seem overworked, so we did not make any other requests. We will have to think carefully about whether we wish to come back again.
We were thankful they were open on Christmas Eve. The waitress was wonderful and so kind to the kids. Food was great!
Food was just OK
Got seated immediately with our OpenTable reservation. Great staff all around from greeters and waitstaff. Looking forward to going back!
Food is way overpriced for the quality.
Brought the salad and main course out at same time. Lame excuse. Potatoes were not as listed on menu. Restaurant is probably on way out. Did not care for waiter. Felt he was lackadaisical and not interested in pleasing customers. Whatever?
The service was good; our server was attentive without being intrusive. The food was good. My clam chowder was tasty but tepid. Three burgers ordered were undercooked compared to how they were ordered. The menu is limited in the sense that there are not pages and pages of options. But there are about a 1/2 dozen burgers to choose from, a handful of salads, a good selection of appetizers, etc. The price-to-value ratio is on the low side. Our meal, including tip, was about $25/person and that was with no appetizers (except 3 soups) and no alcohol.
Waitress was very forgetful.
Our waitress was pleasant and attentive.
The restaurant was quiet, with several tables filled at 6:30PM.
We shared a rack of ribs which contained very little meat on them and had little flavor.
The potato wedges were extremely dry.
The coleslaw was tasty.
Overall, the experience was not satisfying.
I was craving a steak so we went. Everything was "fine", but it was dead and nothing was memorable or interesting or special. If you are looking for a quiet and decent place to take older folks where noise might be an issue, this would fit the bill.
A group of 7 had a very nice time with no problems, our waitress was absolutely wonderful !
We do this every 3 months, up to 12 of us, It's getting more difficult for larger groups to make reservations which is why we removed Border Cafe (Burlington MA) from our list of restaurants because Border Cafe does not accept reservations and seemed hostile to our large group.
Great spot for lunch and catching up with friends. Delicious ahi tuna salad and burgers. Friendly wait staff.
Nice children's menu. Calamari tough, ribs properly cooked but BBQ sauce sweet and bland, burger OK. Not a good value.
Best gluten free chicken piccata I've ever had. Servers were stretched a bit thin, but service was good and pleasant.
Everything was great but I thought the pricing was a little on the high side.
Joes has been better than this but after dining at a few locations over the past couple of years think that the downtown Boston location on Newbury Street is the only one I'd consider in the future. It was July 4th so the short staff may have to do with this poor visit. Service was slow, the chow so so. Only the burger was good... along with the fries. Also, very pricey on their house wines by the glass... their own label.
We enjoyed our visit to Joe's American Bar and Grille. It's not the first time we've been and we will definitely return. I had a turkey burger with the most delicious honey wheat bun and a cranberry mayo that was very tasty. Our server was very attentive, polite and gracious.
The food is always good at Joe's but compared to other spots with more consistent service the prices are high. I have no problem paying $30 for a steak if it's a good meal but really, a salad with that is extra? Also, the last couple of visits to this location the service has been spotty. Certainly not giving up on them, we've enjoyed Joe's, but if I'm going to pay over $80 for dinner for two all in, I expect a little more.
Good food nice quiet pace
Friends in from out of town able to catch up without feeling rushed
Had the chili lime chicken salad. It's one of the best I had.
$100 is too much for one entree (Mac n cheese) and one appetizer (fish tacos) and a couple drinks. Only brought out one meal, which got cold while we waited for the second one. Also didn't apply the $15 off from the "welcome" email I booked the resi through. Disappointing since we used to dine here frequently.
Too expensive! The food and service were both very good but the overall cost of the meal for the 6 of us was expensive. There is no moderately priced wine on the wine list.
The visit overall was fine, but the half rack of baby back ribs I got had very little meat on the bones, especially for the $15+ price. The potato wedges were great. Service was good. Best part of the meal was the skillet chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream. I made the reservation with the note I was celebrating my 50th birthday but did not say anything upon arriving because I didn't want any big deal, maybe a free dessert or glass of wine. Nope. All good. It's an okay place for casual dining.
Reservation at 8. Food didn't arrive until 9:10.
Filet mignon over cooked.
Our server, Connor, was friendly and attentive. All entrees came at the same time, hot and cooked as requested. Everyone's food was delicious.
Two negatives -- they were out of the Maine lobster roll and they did not allow enough time between soup/salad and entrees. Only 2 of 7 ordered soup/salad so this was a minor inconvenience.
The staff does a very good job of accommodating my daughter's gluten-free needs though the menu could, perhaps, do a better job of explaining what can and cannot be prepared gluten-free.
The food and service was excellent. The wine list could be better but overall very good.
The overall dinning experience was great starting with the quality of food and the service provided by the wait staff. My only concern is the hostess at the front desk. She was not too accommodating and a but rude. We arrived earlier than our reservation and asked if we could be seated earlier than our time and she did not want to listen to us. There were few booths available that we could see from the front area.
She could have at least asked us to sit in the bar area and look to see if we could be accommodated.
Very poor service. It was Mother's Day. When we asked our waitress if we could get nachos with cheese on just one side (i have a child who is a vegan) we got an eye roll and an annoyed "no" for an answer. Waitress rarely stopped by and when our food came, some was missing and it took forever to get her attention. All of the mothers there were given a rose at the end of their meal. However, my wife received nothing. We've been here a number of times and always had a great time. Food was excellent as always, but, there are far too many options in town. I see no reason to go back anytime soon.
