Great service. Our server was very friendly and very patient waiting while our group sat chatting and catching up for a long time. All of us were pleased with our lunches. BLT and sweet potato fries were excellent.

Joe's is consistently good pub type food. We enjoy sitting at the bar and watching a game.

My husband recently became gluten free due to a pretty severe intolerance, gastroenterologist's orders. Most dining out experiences result in anxiety, poor options, and the occasional error leading to a night of abdominal pain and no sleep. We were very pleased at how seriously the staff took his intolerance and at the variety of options available, including fries cooked in a separate fryer which is hard to find! The gluten free bread also wasn't the usual unpleasant frozen stuff but fresh from a real bakery and tasted so good even those in our party who don't have an intolerance ate it. No stomach pain, no issues, and a delicious meal, we will absolutely be back!

I have been going to "Joe's " since it was J.C. Hillarys. Unfortunately, it has been on a downward spiral over the years. The new menu looks great, but the quality of the food is just not what it use to be. The Caesar salad lettuce was limp, with an uninspiring dressing. But, the worst experience, was the "bread" pudding dessert. The focus should be on teeth-breaking "toast," mixed in with inadequate butterscotch "flavoring." At this rate, I wouldn't bother. I must say, the wait staff is excellent.

Two things that disappointed me: one, I ordered Prime Rib and it wasn’t available at 6pm in the afternoon. It looks that you were not planning to offer it. Second, the waiter was on top of us rushing us into ordering even when I told him that we were not on a rush.

As always, our group had a great time. The food was great and the server was friendly and accommodating.

We come every few months to hang out and catch up. Easy access for all of us.

Good for a quick casual bite. Kind of loud, kind of chaotic, it's like eating at an inexpensive Disney restaurant on America.

I had the lunch offer wherein one may choose one item from four offerings in each of three columns -- a protein and two sides. I had grilled chicken, mash and mustard bacon Brussels sprouts. My only issue was that the mash came in a little cup for some reason, and the sprouts, though yummy, were a bit too al dente for my taste. But I'd order it all again.

Good variety of American food. Accommodating to small changes in standard menu. Great service. No problem with us sitting for long time after meal finished for chatting. Very comfortable place. Non-alcoholic drink refills plentiful.

Joe's is always good. Service is friendly and very accommodating. Food is enjoyable and well prepared. We had filet Mignon which was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Mashed potatoes were fresh and delicious.
Always a winner!

Will usually always have a good time at Joe's American bar and Grill. Service and Food Quality is better at the north end waterfront location in Boston. I would not travel back to Dedham other than a quick bite but for family every day dining it would be worth the trip to go to the north end. We have been coming to Joe's American bar and Grill for the last 20 years Braintree mostly there when they closed we started going to Dedham but the food quality isn't there

The server was friendly enough- however would disappear for long stretches. Longish wait (20+ minutes) for our meals despite the restaurant being slow/ empty. Server delivered our meals and never came back- which was frustrating because everything on my plate was ice cold. We were pressed for time so ate what we could- and were "finished" by the time she came back to the table. Just an overall disappointing experience- Joes used to be so good with consistently good service and food. Wouldn't go back.

Recently had lunch with co workers fro years ago. We see each other only twice a year. We all enjoyed our lunch- grilled chicken sandwich. Great taste and quality and size! The waiter did not rush us and was friendly. He gladly took our picture with my IPAD.
We all commented to each other about a great lunch experience.

A bad day for Joe's. Seems like it is going downhill quickly. Not long ago, they had an extensive menu. Now it has been whittled down to two small pages. The honey chicken salad was delicious. They were out of chicken fingers which cancelled two of our four family member's meals. The bbq pulled pork sliders came out much later than the rest of the meal, and there was no bbq sauce. The meat was room temperature at best, and it was not appetizing. One thing Joe's had going for it tonight was that the hostess, waitresses, and manager were all very friendly.

The last time we visited, I noticed they had added NY Strip to the menu, but to my chagrin, I couldn't order it because they were out of it. With the smaller menu, this restaurant really needs to stay stocked. The waitress was apologetic, but it really was not her fault.

Upon entering the restaurant, there was a weird smell. When we got our food, my steak was undercooked, I had to send it back. They also gave me some weird kind of butter to go with my Broccoli.. It had an over powering smell of garlic. My husband enjoyed his fish and chips. The bathrooms were clean. There was a guy sitting behind us who was obnoxiously loud.

Although they didn't have a gluten-free menu, I advised the waiter of my gf allergy and the food was prepared and served properly. My dinner choice was broccoli and chicken with penne pasta.

The salmon was wonderful, the chicken piccata delicious, but less tender than ideal. The server we had wasn't particularly interested in whether we had a good experience or not, which was a shame. But we will go back. It's good, it's convenient.

We have been to Joe's American Bar & Grill on several occasions, always with young children, and the experience has always been very positive. The waiters are friendly, and seem to understand that young children need a bit of space, and good food ! The adults in the group have always been very happy with the meals. We would recommend Joe's any time.
Love it ! Mary D.

For a party of 11 and the restaurant being slow the service was really slow..... the waiter could have easily sold another round or two of drinks and maybe dessert to pad the bill and his tip. But the service was way too slow.... i'm actually wondering if this location is now going to shut down just like the one in Braintree did.

Based on dining at 1:00pm on a Tue. a group of 4 had a very good experience. Food was great and service was commendable. Venue provides central/easy access along Rt 128/I95, fairly nearby handicap parking, and a site for audible conversation on a weekday afternoon.

Two of us had the mac 'n' cheese- rather disappointing- The pasta (shells) were very thick and heavy, the person who had buffalo chicken "added" was surprised to find that buffalo sauce was mixed through the pasta, not just on the chicken which made for a rather overwhelmingly hot dish vs an added element.

We love Joe's but this time wasn't that great. My son's burger, though we asked for it well done, was burnt on 1 side and they out the cheese over it. The waiter seemed as if he was in a rush with everything. Asked us if we're ready to order not even 2 minutes after being seated. Kind of snarky when my son asked about potato wedges saying no " It's the same thing as French fries" which wtheyre not. Then pretty much put the bill on the table over my shoulder without speaking to us eye to eye. Probably won't go to this location again.
