We have had good experiences here in the past, but this time, not so much. One of us ordered Pinot Grigio, but was served Sauvignon blanc. Correcting the order took so long that the correct wine didn’t arrive until the food did. Not ideal.
One of us ordered the blackened cod sandwich, which we have had before and is excellent. This time, the sandwich came but cod was not blackened. Without that seasoning, it was fairly bland.
So we cannot give this restaurant top marks for this experience.
Always great service and food. I go here on a regular basis and it never disappoints.
It's difficult to recommend because of the wait time despite having a reservation, the reduction in portion size and the dirty bathrooms.
It was my daughter’s birthday celebration. Our waitress was wonderful! Very friendly and gave us exceptional service!!! The food was very good.
Had a great meal and a great time! We will definitely be back!
I thought that the food was very good. I was surprised it was as good as it was given the size of the restaurant and the number of people seated while I was there. Excellent service.
Really miss the one that used to be in Framingham and so went to Dedham. So glad to see many of our favorites on the menu from the ribs to the crispy chicken salad. Services was very good and the meals all arrived as ordered and were hot. Please consider coming back to MetroWest.
Service was very slow and often left us wondering if our Waitress was ever coming back.
We enjoyed the food and atmosphere and service the brunch menu could be extended with a few more choices
Service was a bit slow.
Good food for a good price
I had the chicken sandwich. It was dry and hard to cut up, cheese tasted old. Lettuce was wilted.
Great lunch at Joes with some old friends
Went on a Saturday night. It was busy. Had to wait a good 5 minutes before our waiter came over for drinks. Bread was delicious and the food was excellent. Exactly how we ordered it. Just attention to detail wasn't there by waiter. He was to overwhelmed by tables I think. Never refilled our water or soda. Had to ask for refill and then when prompted asked if I wanted another drink. When our meals were done we waited again another 5 or so minutes for him to come clear table and offer dessert. Didn't happen , handed us the check and said "thank you very much and walked away" .
My fiance is from North Carolina and just moved here a few months ago. That was his first Joe's experience. He has yet to shut up about how delicious that filet mignon was! Thank you for making his birthday special!
For the most part, the food was good – the waiter was excellent – the lower rating is due to multiple issues of cleanliness with silverware and glasses – could’ve been a fluke…
The service was slow., the utensils and tea cup dirty, the server upgraded a side salad with salmon to a meal after quoting the price to her around $12 before to $15.99 on Bill and they were out of roast beef. Server could have explained any specials or said when out of items but instead would run off after delivering 1 drink at a time. The food was good nonetheless.
Joe's has consistently very good food and service and tonite was no exception in spite of a Saturday. My steak was perfect and wife's combo of appetizer and special salad was excellent, enjoyed special house drinks and our swaiter was top-notch, wished we lived closer and waiter was top-notch. Wished we lived closer.
Food quality was not good. I ordered a fish sandwich. It took a long time to arrive and when it did it was cold. When they brought it back it was overcooked.
It is what it is in a good way. No surprises.
Great service great food
Food and service were, as usual, excellent! And it was a nice, quiet atmosphere.
Just an overall unpleasant experience. The waitress seemed like she was tired and angry. She brought us a pitcher of water and no glasses. She brought us coffee without cream and sugar. We're in the food service industry so we quietly pulled the manager aside and let him know and he seemed apologetic, comped a few drinks, but also seemed tired. It was my birthday brunch so I definitely feel gypped by the experience and wish we had gone elsewhere. It seems like the staff could use some rest. Except for one waiter who ultimately ended up bringing us waters who was a delight.
60th Birthday ....fish and chips was hard as a rock and Caesar salad came dry with zero dressing...chicken piccata was just average, we were disappointed!
Overbooked burger, forgot birthday dessert
Server had too many tables she was excellent however drinks and refills were slow table was ready when we arrived seated even though all the party wasn’t there excellent service the food was amazing presentation was awesome. Nothing was overcooked
Great food and service, but the pricing was a little too high.
Food was average at best, we started with Joes combo appetizer platter. Spinach artichoke dip was cool, instead of hot. calamari was tender but was not hot, buffalo chicken was good but again, not hot. It is pretty obvious it was previously cooked and just hanging around. I ordered an Amstel Light, which was not cold. Therefore I only had one, (nobody likes barely cool bottled beer). If it was even refrigerated at all.
I got the Cobb salad for dinner, which was good, but not worth the $16 they charge for it. I would not recommend this place, would not surprise me if they are not around in the near distant future,
Great onion soup and delicious prime rib! But I couldn't believe they no longer have baked potato on the menu! The service was OK, but our waiter was much too loud for my taste ... I prefer a low key waiter, soft spoken and professional. Also we found the music too loud and definitely inappropriate for a quiet dinner ... not sure who chooses the tracts, but easy listening or new age instrumental would have made a far better background for dinner conversation. Note: we ate here for a late lunch/very early dinner last week, and unlike the annoying server described above, our waiter at that meal was excellent! Friendly, but low-key and professional; attentive, but never intrusive.
Ate in the bar...great food and server was fabulous
Staff were very courteous, professional and attentive. Everyone’s meal met their expectations. My jumbelia (sp) was even better than I had at an Irish restaurant where they were known for theirs.
Been to restaurant many times, but have noticed fewer customers and a decline in the quality of staff...our feed arrived different from what we ordered and the process to resolve extended beyond 15 minutes...no manager visit or any sighting of the manager on a rather low volume Sunday evening...many better options in the area
Caitlin (waitress) made the whole experience that much better!
The food was good but the restaurant need to add some chefs; we were in 10 and had to wait 1 hour for the food. They forgot one order and had to wait even more for the last meal to be served.
The place was really nice inside. Service was average, the food didn't wow me
The menu and quality of food have changed. Two in our party got salads with chicken, One of the salads came out wrong. One person ordered a veggie burger and it was just ordinary.
Not a great experience.... one error after another!!! They were not busy at all, many empty tables, so no excuse for very poor service and overcooked food. Many "I'm sorry"s, but no compensation. Won't go back, too many better options nearby!
Was seated promptly at our reservation time. Our server was friendly and patient, as I had my 3 year old with us. Our food was served without error and tasted delicious.
Good food for a good price with good service.
