Food is always solid and service is always great. Large restaurant (lots of tables downstairs) in fun area of Newbury St.
Food was delicious. And got an email for $15 off just for signing into their WiFi!
Food was pretty good. Staff did a great job considering it was 7:00 on St Patrick’s Day and the place was mobbed.
Sebastien is the man! He made our beer extra green for St.Paddy's day!
fantastic atmosphere very polite wait staff and delicious food
Great for large groups. Great service and solid food
Still a good neighborhood bar and restaurant.
My boyfriend and I went to celebrate his birthday and it was really pleasant and good service!
Love the bread and the honey chicken salad!
We had a party of 5 and celebrating my daughter's 21st birthday with friends and family. We had a wonderful time and the service was excellent! We had a request to sit upstairs in patio seating and it was accommodated. Food was delicious. Always a good place for a fun time.
Dinner was disappointing at Joe's American Bar & Grill, as the menu was dominated by burgers and the fillet mignon that I ordered was very small. Prices are reasonable, but my dining experience was less satisfying than I anticipated.
Food was ok, they were out of a couple of the drinks that I wanted so that was disappointing
It was great. We were in town for a conference and I think the conference overwhelmed the staff and kitchen so things were slow. Overall it was a good experience.
The food was great and our service was even better! Loved our experience!
The crab with benedict of the brunch menu was a little overpriced. Brunch here is good in general. The pudding for dessert was OUTSTANDING
Thoroughly enjoyed. Great waiter. Will definitely return if ever back in Boston.
Busy dinner before a concert. Lively Friday night crowd. Prompt service and very hot meal in spite of the crowd. Meatloaf and baby back ribs were very good. Very good. Best Pimms cocktail I’ve had in ages. Always a reliable and delicious choice on Newbury Street. Love Joes.
This was a repeat business meal for an estimated 11 people (actually only 9) in a private room. Joe's Corporate posed huge hurdles including initially doubling the minimum food and beverage, from the time before, to $90 pp and 5 pages of legalese. Not at all easy to do business with. In the end, we got what we wanted with a less-unreasonable minimum, fine service and satisfactory food but the experience left a bad taste at a restaurant that has been a favorite.
Good basic food and great service. Perfect spot for my teenager and friends to celebrate a birthday.
My four year old and I had dinner at Joe's on Newbury Saturday night. We had a fantastic time! The kids menu is bigger than many places, and had the option of apples instead of fries. The service was appropriately attentive and patient with my daughter ordering for herself. And our food came out quickly, so there was no wait between drinks arriving, bread being delivered, meals coming out, and her ice cream.
The good was really good, I’d love to come back in the summer and sit on the porch outdoors.
service was very slow and food was cold. Server was helpful.
This Joe's location ways has great service and food!
Great spot! We always visit when we are in Boston and restaurant is always so great w having a toddler in tow!
I went thru open table to change the time of my reservation from 12:30 to 1:30 and the restaurant was never advised.
Great food and service and good gluten free options
Good food, great atmosphere
Great place to have dinner...excellent food and great service. Had the meatloaf and burger with our meal and was tremendous!
Joe's is my go to place for birthdays! The kids love Joe's!!
The food is fresh and fantastic. Service is top notch. We visit Joe’s when we are in Boston and I look forward to the next time!
Great for Large Groups!
The service was excellent and the waitress offered us fun recommendations for where to go dancing for our friends birthday!
We’ll be back!
It was a really great choice. Staff is really friendly. Food is great with lots of varieties. Better book as it is always crowded. And don't ever miss desert😊
We came here for dinner and the food was delicious! Atmosphere was very cozy and elegant and the sangria was yummy. Will definitely be back!
Joe’s is a great spot for good food and atmosphere when walking around Newbury St. This is the second time we’ve been here - first time was for lunch and this time for dinner. Everyone in our group was very happy with their meals.
Service great, salad excellent. It was raining and window leaked, leaving my sister’s leather bag very wet. She told hostess who said “Sorry, we do dry cleaning”.......was this an appropriate response?
Waitress was fantastic! The honey chicken salad was delicious!!!! And the bread...,,love it
Thank you very much for accommodating our group! I always love dining here!
Cold food. Poor service.
Everything we wanted and more for a celebratory New Year’s Brunch. Great atmosphere. Outstanding staff made up of professionals who are friendly, courteous, and clearly well-trained. Food presentation was picture worthy as well as delicious. I even got a free dessert because it was my birthday over a week ago!!! I definitely highly recommend Back Bay Restaurant Group restaurants. Never a disappointment. 😊🥂
Service was ok - We were there on NYE for dinner and there was absolutely no atmosphere in the restaurant / bar. I had the steak for main meal and was able to eat as the chargrilled taste was like something that some one had painted onto it - fries also tasted off. I was really unwell during the night afterwards
