First time to Joe Theismann's in Alexandria. Offers easy parking, reservations, comfortable relaxed atmosphere, large menu, good service and good food. Two of us had fish, cooked well, and two had other items on menu. Everyone was pleased. Would return.

We went to Joe Theismann’s the day after Valentines Day and had a great evening. The steak was great, as was the service. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. We’ll be back.

We come here regularly. Most of the time we get the specials offered. The $40 steak special was good, but way undercooked. I asked for the steak medium and got it rare. After waiting almost 15 minutes for the waitress to come back, I asked for it to be cooked a bit more. Almost 3 minutes later, the steak came back out more to the medium temperature I asked for. I have worked in the restaurant business for almost 12 years and I know it doesn’t take 3 minutes for steak to go from rare to medium. The steak was microwaved and came out tougher. Next time will just order regular steak from the menu. Love this place. It’s a shame that I paid $40 for a steak to come out of the microwave!

This was my 3rd restaurant week dinner. The others were quite good. This was pretty awful. Clam chowder that had no taste -- a blindfolded taster would not have been able to identify it. The entree was short ribs pappardelle. This was a large bowl of the noodles with -- not exaggerating -- a few shreds of meat with sauce. Once I picked through it enough to get a full fork full of meat I realized that I didn't even care for the taste. This has been an okay restaurant in the past so either it's gone downhill or it's just bad for restaurant week. Either way there are too many choices in this area to ever give Joe Theismanns another chance.

Laidback environment but very energetic crowds. Food was good, well-prepared, and was served in a timely manner. The 2 waiters that I worked with Derek and Allan; both provided great service, friendly personalities, and were very welcoming and inviting.

We visit Joe T’s on a Friday evening after work. It was busy, but the OT reservation saved us waiting on a table. It was loud, but we were still able to converse at our table. two of us ordered burgers, but neither of us were impressed with the quality. We both ordered med-rare and both were slightly pink but very dry. Both of our buns were hard also making the burgers hard to finish. My wife enjoyed her meal and had no issues. We did appreciate the $3 beers for happy our though.

Theismann’s is glorified, really really good casual/bar food. Liked all the TVs, but the food distracts you. The caprese flatbread pizza was the among the best things I’ve ever tasted, and the tuna appetizer was also so good. Fries were above par and service was outstanding. Ok, we also have bets as to the best bread pudding on the east coast and the chocolate chip here is right up there.
Just so easy and good. We have plenty of reastaurants around us, but we take the metro and have a short hop across the street. Would recommend and will go again.

We were entertaining Friends visiting from out of town. The restaurant was very close and convenient to their hotel so it was a perfect location. It was happy hour so the bar was busy and loud. Our waiter was efficient but not very personable. Our guests enjoyed their meals and I had only one complaint - the gumbo soup tasted to me as if the roux base had been overcooked. Overall we had a very good meal and would definitely try this restaurant again.

I found my new favorite restaurant. This is an upscale sports bar, with amazing food, great service, and perfect noise level. Our server, Carly was excellent coming over at just the right times. I had the rockfish and my husband had the pork chops, both delicious. You can see a tv from every seat so as not to miss a moment of the game. After dinner we went to the bar, to find friendly patrons and helpful bartenders. Overall an excellent experience.

Another fine evening of dining at Theismann’s Restaurant. As usual the restaurant had maybe a hundred diners with a couple dozen other customers gathered in the bar area. But no matter how many customers the restaurant may have, because of its high capacity, there almost always seems to be room for one more group of incoming folks. The atmosphere is casual and friendly and the food is high quality and at a reasonable price. Recommend giving Theismann’s restaurant a try if you have not done so.

I've been here a few times over the years but was sent a Birthday gift from Joe Theismann's Restaurant as a buy one get one free dinner. So I decided that my wife and I would go last Wednesday night and it was great. The food and service were more than we could have ask for. I would highly recommend Joe Theismann's Restaurant for any occasion and the food is excellent. Thank you MR Theismann for the birthday certificate we truly enjoyed it.

Thanks

We went for New Year eve Dinner. Its not fancy. Its a meat and potato kind of place. We wanted something easy. We had the surf and turf special and the pork chop with drinks. We ordered both cuts of meat medium to medium rare. They were done perfectly. Even the veggies were tasty. Service could not have been better and they were very busy that evening ( with two or three football games and the extra new years crowd.
The next time we are in a meat and potatoes mood, we will defiantly keep this place in mind.
