We had a great dinner celebrating our engagement.
Great atmosphere and wonderful food. Our server was very attentive and helpful.
The food was good. The atmosphere was very stuck up and our server was horrendous. He only came to our table to take our order and to deliver our food. The hostess was also rude. Also, with such an extensive dress code...why did I see every other person in there wearing a sweatshirt? Wasn’t worth $200 to me.
Great food, good service, terrific view, big prices
Amazing service and food, definitely will be back!
The food was extraordinary. The server was annoying and spoke with an uncalled for formality and “hauteur.”
Piano was too loud and intrusive in a room with live acoustic.
However my dinner was sublime tasting.
Service was fantastic and food was delicious!
Our Server, CJ was outstanding! He was patient, courteous and knowledgeable about the menu. He truly made the dining experience special and memorable. The presentation and food was delicious. Amazing!!
I loved the elegant but relaxing feel of the dining room. The view was outstanding and the live piano added to the great atmosphere. The food was delicious from the soup to the fish and the fantastic Coconut Cake for desert. The wait staff was fantastic. Impeccable and friendly service.
This place was one of the best places I've ever been. Myself and my husband really enjoyed everything an i do mean everything we celebrated my husband 35th Birthday.. The view is implacable the food was so good an presented on the plate so well i didnt even want to eat it. Thats how good it looked. The taste was just jaw dropping. Thank you all so much wonderful place ill be back very soon.
Great dining experience like always! My wife and I love the food, the service, and the view. Our waiter, Tim, was outstanding as well! We love coming to this restaurant! Great job Joe Muer's!
We had a wonderful experience. Friendly staff, attentive waiter, great selection of food and beverages. The food was delicious! I recommend the carrot cake for desert, it was amazing!! We would definitely go again!
We were disappointed because we had requested twice prior to our reservation to have window seats, but the manager and our server took so good care of us we hardly noticed. Best meal I have ever had. Despite our initial disappointment, the evening turned out to be fabulous and the meal was beyond amazing. Highly recommend.
Everything was great the food the waiter the seating
Our dining experience was excellent! Our waiter Joseph was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Our food was delicious! We will recommend with enthusiasm!
Great Delmonico! Server was a bit pushy and was rushing our group of 4 more than we liked. He was a bit resistive and inflexible when asked to make some small sides variations by an individual in our party. The manager solved the issue and was very attentive. Some restaurant staff need to understand that folks visit restaurants to have a good and relaxed dining experience and not to be rushed through it as if going through a fast food drive-through. I’ve had great meals here before and will likely return, but I’m a bit disappointed by the server.
Probably worst steak I had in few years. Waiter was really good. They try to hard to be fancy and add to much to simple stuff. How you can ruin a whiskey drink I don’t know but they managed. Not the worst place but when you consider the price kinda hard to argue it being good for any occasion. Those kinda prices I expect to be amazed by each dish not disappointed. Nice service though lol.
I'm usually very critical being a fine dining waiter for many years... Food was superb and the service was very professional and friendly. Ask for Keith, he is excellent in his craft!!
Always a great dinner at Joe Muers. We went for dinner before a play and it was the first time our friends had been there. They really enjoyed it. Food, service, ambiance and presentation were all fantastic.
You state the dress code is business casual. Very disappointed the way many presented themselves in torn jeans, t-shirts, biker chains etc. if you do not enforce a dress code then why say you have one.
We love Joe Muers. This occasion was a pre-theater dinner with my son and daughter-in-law. We were seated by the window, which was nice. Our waiter was a little more formal that normal, but still good.
The food was outstanding, as usual - with one major exception. We had an executive shrimp with two entrees, and one of the shrimp was not fully cooked. In the essence of time we did not send it back - as we had to get to the theater - and as it turned out, the restroom.
We will go back again - hoping it was a one time event.
As always , perfect !
Wonderful experience but I found the wine mark ups to be a little to aggressive.
We were celebrating my Daughter's 23rd birthday. It was a nice touch when the desert arrived with Happy Birthday spelled out on the platter in chocolate.
I took my husband to Joe Muer's for his birthday. The service was wonderful, and the food was absolutely phenomenal. The server has excellent recommendations, and that coconut cake---you've got to try it. We had the shrimp cocktail, soup trio, kale harvest salad, munkfish, and swordfish and we loved every bite!
Fantastic food. Excellent and very personal service.
Memorable! I will count the days until I can dine there again!
Joe Muer is always a good experience. My favorite restaurant.
Our service was amazing. Beautiful interior and beautiful views. Food was great and wine selection excellent.
Our waiter, Ryan, was exceptional, great service, very professional and personal. Would like him to receive recognition for his service.
I have wonderful memories of the original Joe Muer and the special mooments celebrated with family who are now gone. This was my first experience at this location and I was looking forward to celebrating my birthday there. We shared the steam mussels and the Shrimp Ilene. The shrimp was good but the mussels were just OK. I have had an outstanding steamed mussel dish from a restaurant in Gaylord, MI and I now compare all others to that. My main entre was the Dover Sole and it got cold fast. I had the potatoes with cheddar cheese and crab, very good but it too cooled off too fast. Our waiter. CJ was outstanding and very empathetic to our food getting cold. it certainty wasn't his fault as the area around was getting colder. I am unsure as to whether I wiil go back as with a tab of over $200 for the 2 of us I wanted of a feeling that this was the best meal I've had and it wasn't. Maybe I should have ordered different choices. It wasn't up to the memories I have of the original.
Everything was great with the exception of the seared tuna. I literally got three pieces of tuna. For 40 dollars you would expect a full meal.
Our server was great, the food was delicious and filling. We sat next to a loud family that detracted a bit from the mood, but overall very nice time.
Worth every dollar. Great food and great service. My wife said it was the best Lobster Tail she has had.
Although we were slightly late for our reservation, we were seated immediately. Our waiter was excellent (I find it hard to think we could have a better waiter than we had on January 3 with other family members, but we did) and he could not have been more helpful in giving us menu suggestions and getting us served as we pressured him because we had a time constraint that afternoon. Joe Muer's will always be my "go to" restaurant when I am in the Detroit area. I have been fortunate to go occasionally since I was a child, and I am now able to take my children and grandchildren!
It was a great dinner at joe muer, the food was amazing and delicious, thank you for the special service 👍🏻
Joe Muers Detroit is always a magnificent dining experience. I've never been disappointed. Each dining experience is fun, the staff is attentive to my needs and this time my waiter (Chris) remembered me and expressed that it was a pleasure seeing me again. That's why I will keep returning, because the staff knows the menu and are very professional toward the patrons. I Love Joe Muers Seafood Restaurant Detroit!!
Wonderful food and ambiance with an amazing view of the water. A special place for a great date night.
I highly recommend the lobster corn dogs. They are very tasty.
I gave 5-stars for the value even though this might be the most (or close) expensive restaurant in Detroit. Personally, I think it's still a great value (perhaps the best in Detroit). The atmosphere is great, lively and fun. The staff make you feel like you're the only customer. And the food is always amazing.
