fixed, four couse price menu with interesting and diverse offerings. None of the offerings disappointed, all fabulous
Consistently wonderful every time we visit. Always a treat!
A true hidden pearl in St.Paul. Please do not tell anybody about it!! bill and di
We celebrated our anniversary and this was the best meal we’ve ever had. Great service, surprising food combinations and wonderful ambiance.
Joan’s is our favorite restaurant. We have introduced Joan’s to many friends who continue to come with their friends. Great food, beautiful presentation, superior service. We feel like well-fed family.
Four of us dined last evening. We sat in the patio and enjoyed the four course tasting menu. Everything was perfect! I had the carrots, the watercress and pea shoot greens, the lamb ragu and the filet. Delicious! Each dish was artfully prepared and served with style. We also had a bottle of Kennefeck Ranch Cab Franc which was sublime. Please go and dine here!
Excellent as always. From the personalized service to the superb food, everything was great.
Tasting menu is spectacular. Of the 8 my wife and I sampled, 6 were home runs, with the other two still very good. We haven't been to Joan's in a few years and were really impressed by the 4 course menu. A bit pricey for us but well worth it. Plating was quite beautiful. Each a mini work of art. As tasty as they looked like they would be.
It can get a bit loud with the bar and the small box of the space when it starts to fill up but we really think this place is a gem.
Celebrating with friends and our evening was perfect. We shared different dishes from the tasting menu. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Daniel our waiter was very attentive and not at all intrusive. We cannot wait to go back.
Joan's in the Park never disappoints. The menu has some new selections that were outstanding. I loved the corn dumplings with crab and the market fish was excellent. If you haven't been to this restaurant, you're missing out.
Our anniversary 💕
JOAN'S NEVER DISAPPOINTS!! Service is fabulous - attentive, great recommendations for pairing the courses, and so welcoming to guests. Food is prepared so beautifully and it's all delicious. Love their patio seating too!
We had so much fun! Our server Daniel was awesome! The ambiance was comforting. The food extremely good! If we lived in the twin cities we would frequent often.
Our 5th wedding anniversary. A truly one-of-a-kind-dinner. Wow!
Joan’s in the Park is a solid if outdated restaurant. The food was very good on some plates and very poorly conceived and executed on others. The wine list is straight out of a country club from 20 years ago.
My birthday dinner at Joan' in the Park was wonderful! Food and service were great. We sat on the patio, so there was a bit of traffic noise (Snelling Avenue); worth it, to be able to sit outside, though.
Fabulous experience from beginning to end!!! Superb! Thank you to Dan, our server, for making our evening so special. The food was exceptional! We'll be back!
The food was unbelievable, and the service impeccable! My wife and I have only 1 regret: That it took us so long to discover Joan's! We can't wait to get back!
We have never been disappointed with Joan's, and this visit was no exception. The service is excellent from the moment you walk in the door. Someone is always available to greet you, and the small size of the space makes it feel particularly warm and welcoming. On this particular visit we arrived early, and enjoyed fantastic cocktails at the bar. The recipes for their signature drinks are as creative and well considered as the food.
We've been here a couple of times since the change to a 4-course prix fixe menu. Overall, the cost is similar to ordering appetizers, entrée and dessert. The multicourse dinner (which incidentally doesn't include dessert) allows for a great variety of flavors and ingredients. Combined with seasonal ingredients, this menu truly shines. The food is flavorful, often unique and beautifully plated. The chef is a star.
On top of the great service and outstanding menu, Joan's has a terrific wine list with many varieties and price points. The markups seem low compared to similar fine dining establishments.
A+ for Joan's in the Park!
What a great restaurant! Felt like I was in Europe again. Food is excellent, works of art on a plate. Highly recommend!
From food to staff to ambience (an oasis in the city), a very refined, delicious, but unpretentious dining experience. For any special event, Joan's is at the top of the recommendation list.
Joan's is exceptional in all respects, and is the perfect place for special occasions or just when one needs an out-of-the-ordinary dining experience.
Always so much fun to eat on the patio. The service is always great and food and atmosphere are perfect. My wife and I tried the tasting menu and we made good choices and enjoyed the creative presentations and taste of everything. Really a treat to eat when everyone cares about the entire experience. Great job as always!
Wonderful staff and excellent food!
The whole experience was wonderful. The food was fantastic and delicious. The service was spot on. If I left to go to the bathroom, my napkin was folded when I got back. I don't have a single bad thing to say about the place. I will definitely be back!
The staff, from start to finish always do a great job. The presentation, too beautiful to eat. The flavors, to good to stop.
Dinner after the Belmont Stakes horse race. The 4 course tasting menu was beautifully prepared and presented. We were lucky enough to get little extra courses with tiny spoons and forks. One was a whipped goat cheese and another was asparagus bites in a strawberry sauce. Everything was top notch. It was a dinner we will always remember.
Beautiful patio, personalized service, and every dish we ordered was over-the-top delicious!
The bar drinks were superb as was the food.
Terrific food, quaint and personal atmosphere, overall and excellent experience for a special event!
Hidden gem with amazing, creative food and impeccable service.
We had a lovely meal...great tastes, wines, pacing and service. Thanks!
We have dined at Joan's several times over the years, and it is always a pleasure. Welcoming and friendly, with wonderful food and one of the best outdoor patios in Minneapolis St Paul. Truly a delight. We will keep going back as long as they'll have us :)
There aren’t enough words to describe how wonderful our experience was. From the space, to the service, to the food were all amazing.
Friendly, helpful servers and always something new and unique on the menu. We couldn't have found a better place for date night.
Perfect anniversary spot! Attention to detail was amazing, great service, great food! Definitely will be back!
Fantastic way to enjoy my birthday. Food was wonderful, service was great and fun! Lots of little extras to make the dining experience like no other (chocolate wine for dessert, picture taken by Dan (waiter) at the end of all of us) The decor is beautiful. Here's a tip to other restaurant owners. When we left we were led out the door with a thank you and come back again by one of the owners. I'd go there again in a minute.
Joan's never fails to be outstanding. Fabulous food. Fantastic staff. A gem.
We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary at Joan's. There aren't many places in the Twin Cities where you can still get a complete experience of ambiance, service, and amazing food. Joan's in the Park is one of those places.
Standouts include the lobster and avocado appetizer, manchego and apple salad, and a tenderloin with an amazing glaze that I'm still thinking about.
We just love this place... you should go- soon.
We ate in the sheltered patio area, which is really nice. We had the tasting menu and liked all 4 courses very much, especially the first 3 courses. My husband prefers rum, and no specialty cocktails were available with rum. However, the bartender made one for him, which he loved.
