J.J. Foley's Cafe is located in the South End neighborhood of the city of Boston. This great family owned and operated Irish pub and restaurant, run by the Foley family, has been serving customers since it opened in 1909. Dark wood, comfortable seating and the copper ceiling maintain the classic Irish pub atmosphere. Watch the game while enjoying a pint at the bar or dine in one of J.J. Foley's comfortable tables in the dining room.
The staff at J.J. Foley's prides themselves on being friendly and professional, whether that means making the perfect Manhattan or helping customers choose from the many great food options on the menu. Start with the humongous nacho platter. There are a plethora of salad, sandwich or burger options to choose from for a meal. Returning customers rave about Mr. Foley's favorite, a sirloin burger topped with egg, bacon and cheese.
great fresh salad with dressing on the side - excellent
great place - meal was terrific - had business meeting here - location is great close to Red Line, Silver Line and Orange Line. Everyone was on time and we got a ton of wok done. I had the Cob Salad - it was delicious.
The bacon was hot and super crispy... love that!
had the lobster bisque - it was just what I needed after sitting in air conditioning all day
wonderful dinner - everyone was so friendly, we were sitting at the bar having a light dinner. Felt very comfortable and really enjoyed being there - and the food was delicious.
Excellent food and service. We had a group for Sunday brunch. We had a nice long table in a corner and we were allowed to sit for as long as we wanted. Loved the decor. Loved the food.
It was one of those nights I had French Onion Soup and a side salad - my friend had the grilled salmon - both meals were excellent

great lunch milkshake and a burger - really it was terrific
The Friday night we dined there, the cafe side was invaded by 40 parents and children coming from a ballet recital, it was very noisy with kids yelling.

Nice relaxed atmosphere with a lot to pick from on the menu. Our family really enjoyed the Fish Tacos, Crab Cakes and Blue Cheese Hamburger. Our server was great and very attentive. It was a bit warm in the restaurant due to a warm day and no air conditioning in the facility.

Nothing like an Irish Pub in Boston!

Great burgers and pizza; friendly helpful staff = solid pub.
stopped by before First Friday for a little snack w/friends - excellent service, brilliant idea to stop first so I was able to walk around without eating all the junk the galleries put out. excellent evening

great place to watch the Red Sox (loose) - beer and a burger it the spot.
half off appetizers are a great way to feed the nosh, have a glass of wine w/friends and still get home in time to watch CSI
I have discovered the luncheon deals - had a great sandwich and soup. Love the Greek roll up
The food was good however the service was so very bad that it made the evening unenjoyable. Our waitress never came to help us. We had to get up several times to find her. We ordered food that never came. There was a 20 minute difference between serving the first person's meal and the last person's meal. It made for a very unpleasant evening.
It was not bad, it was not great. For an out of towner like myself, I wouldn't go out of my way to go there again. Prices are reasonable and the food is tasty, just not outstanding in any way.
Discovered the Greek Roll up - new on menu and is great
new friends first dinner out - they loved the meal. I was so proud. Salad's fresh, the burgers were delux.
