We have created a contemporary menu utilizing sustainable produce from local farmers and fresh fish from local fishermen.
Whether settling into the oversized armchairs in the lounge, or admiring the view from the inviting sofa style banquettes, the restaurant provides a memorable dining experience for locals and visitors alike.
Authentic portraits, blueprints, and photography from Duluth’s past adorn the teak panels located throughout the restaurant. While the most stunning view is undoubtedly the view of Lake Superior, the interiors also paint a captivating picture of their own.

Food was delicious, service was fast and friendly (once we got seated) atmosphere is modern and cool. The only issue... not sure what was going on but my party had a 5:30 reservation. We arrived at 5:20 it turns out that some parties that had a 5 o’clock reservation were still waiting to be seated at 5:30... we were seated around 6 for our 5:30 reservation and had a delicious dinner and enjoyed the view.
Flexible menu. Able to add grilled chicken (or shrimp, scallops) to salad. Delicious and reasonably priced.
The most extraordinary filet mignons we have ever tasted, complemented by a great bottle of wine and a desert that transcends superlatives. The whole experience, including our waiter, Chad, was absolutely top drawer.
The food is good, and the view is splendid. Since the tables are arranged single-file in a circle around the perimeter of the restaurant, each table feels semi-isolated, and each has a great view.
Something to mark off of your bucket list. How many times are you going to be able to sit and eat dinner and watch as the Duluth skyline rotates around you? It's expensive, yes. But you know that going in, right? Quality of the food? About what you'd expect. I had the Filet and it was delicious and didn't seem too small. Those knocking this place for price vs. value are going in with too high of expectations. You can't put a price on the one-of-a-kind experience here!
The view of the city of Duluth is Beautiful especially when the sun is going up or down.. We were able to see bentlyville in the warmth of the restaurant. The food was delish and great service.
The tuna dish is spectacular. Also, I am always impressed when I order a Manhattan and the cherries are NOT maraschino.
Very expensive for what you get. The place is in great need of repair and updating. Wallpaper was taped to the wall etc. It is just getting worn out. Elevator needs work. Very expensive and I do not see why. The cost is not the point. Do not see a value.
We had drinks and appetizers. Both were OK but not a great deal for the price. My daughter was visiting from the West Coast and the view is phenomenal so it was worth it. But just barely.
The food is good, but for the price (more expensive than many competitors), it isn’t “knock your socks off” great. I was amazed that I wasn’t able to order a basic green salad.
They were short staffed took too long to even get a drink
We were seated promptly. The service was wonderful. My complaint is the rest room wasn’t as convenient as it should be. There only 2 stalls. The one I was in the door couldn’t be locked. The toilet was low so a person like me, who has bilateral hip replacements may have trouble getting up or down to use the facility. There were bars on the right side only. I recently had right rotator cuff repair. If in weren’t as strong as I am this may have been an issue. I say this only to bring it in the open. I personally didn’t have an issue, some people may
Great food and wonderful service. Always a great time when we go here.
Incredible views of city make this a fun place to go but food is kind of pedestrian for the price. Food was tasty but not as special as one would like in such a fine place. I had the 8 ounce fillet. For $35 they should include at least a small house salad or cup of soup. It came with mashed potatoes and a few limp spears or brocolinni.
Nice atmosphere. Good food, very reasonable.
Went there for my birthday. The restaurant was nice. The food was good but nothing spectacular. They told me they didn’t have mint for my mojito, then later told me they did, then came back and told me they didn’t have it again.
We went for an anniversary dinner and to enjoy the full cityview. We had a delish meal of filet and the duck entree, preceded by their beets and bleu salad, which was fantastic! The scallops missed the mark, but seafood near a freshwater lake may have been our oversight. Our waiter Blair was wonderful, helpful attentive and virtually invisible. The Radisson location and rotating dining area afford a magnificent 360 degree view of our beloved Duluth. If not for din, at least have a drink! All told we’ll be back for special occasions and happily recommend to others.
Brought my wife on our weekend get away. It was great food was cooked and prepared perfect. Great 360 view of duluth.
Great food with two exceptions.. The oil and red wine vinegar was poorly executed and the red velvet cake was disappointing. . What you’ll remember most, awesome view. Ambiance was good except peeling wallpaper and broken molding.
Overall, it was good and I’ll come back.
Service was just okay, way too laid back, we knew what the special was only because we overheard from another server, our entrees came BEFORE our appetizer. Food was not cooked very well at all. I hope they were just having a bad night... But we won't be coming back. Too bad because the spinning restaurant is a great idea and should be a hot spot!
Restaurant has a new, updated menu with interesting flavors. Service was perfect. Peeling and ripped wallpaper was a little off-putting in an otherwise fine restaurant. View is amazing. We went back for breakfast the next day.
My fiance and I were celebrating our engagement and had an amazing experience. Food was phenomenal, ambiance was fantastic and service was so great. Chad our waiter was awesome!!
Can't wait to come back!
It was a perfect spot for a romantic evening! Once you get over the fact that you spin 360 degrees every hour, it is a cool experience. Not recommended for kids or people who get motion sickness.
Our hostess was very rude. We waited 15 minutes for her to come back and seat us and then told us we were late for our reservation. She also barked at others that were waiting to tell them if they don't have a reservation that they needed to wait about an hour. The view made up for the initial frustration though because it was gorgeous to see the waterfront and hillside during our breakfast. Our actual waitress was very kind and the atmosphere was quiet so we could have an enjoyable breakfast and get to talk. The food was good. A little expensive for breakfast but again I think you are paying for the view.
JJ Astor was wonderful! They made us move seats to accommodate a larger crowd which wasn’t a big deal because we hadn’t eaten yet. They gave us a bottle of wine for our trouble, and also gave us a free dessert for our anniversary. Food was outstanding!
Good breakfast, cool views liked that restaurant rotated
The best thing about this restaurant was the view. The food was fair but not special. We had a brand new waitress and the service was very slow. Don’t know if it was because she was new or there weren’t enough wait staff. I decided to have sorbet for dessert but she didn’t know what flavor it was. It was not good and I didn’t eat it. I told her I would not recommend it and she voluntarily took it off our bill. Come for the view and friends but don’t expect a great lunch.
View was spectacular. Restaurant (and hotel) need a renovation NOW. Wallpaper coming off walls gave it a dirty, unkept feel. Food was ok but was way overpriced for the condition of the restaurant. Even the parking ramp was scary with poor lighting, garbage and construction materials in corner parking spots and the ceiling had paint flaking off and looked like it could cave in at any moment. Was very disappointing for our anniversary ... but again, the view at night of the aerial bridge with the lights in the harbor was very beautiful. However, we won’t be back unless Radisson puts money into this property and does a lot of upgrading. There are too many other choices.
This is one of my favorite places to dine in Duluth. I had the pleasure of taking an out-of-town date out for dinner this past weekend. Lovely!
Visiting from Rochester Mn and enjoyed the duck breast with the sinner fries appetizer! Everything was perfect!
Food was good- My steak was very under cooked but they were quick to fix it. The views are beautiful out the windows. The restaurant could use some updating.. Wallpaper was falling off the walls in some places and the rotating part would jerk sometimes and make noise. Overall good experience though!
Had an anniversary dinner at JJ Astor. Overall it was a pleasant experience.
We were lucky to get this double rainbow while visiting. Good food great view.
We enjoyed our dining experience. My steak was good but had a lot of fat in it. The tuna was delicious.
Food and beverage menus were great. The ambiance was lovely and the view was amazing, especially during sunset! Service was good but not great for an upscale full service restaurant with a higher price point. We made a full rotation by the time we had dinner and ordered dessert.
Visit the restaurant but stay at another hotel. The hotel itself is dated and guests we interacted with complained about it being dirty (in reference to the pool area and overall experience). We stayed elsewhere and took an Uber.
The view and experience was increadable. Perfect place to watch the harbor and the sunset. The food was good but not the best. The menu was also limited compared to the one posted on the website. If looking for great ambiance and experience this is an excellent choice.
Food and service was poor. View was great. Would not go again.
Honestly, in my opinion, this place was so run down it was an unpleasant experience. There were staffing issues, confusion all over, and the food was not that great. This place really needs redecorating as it is musky smelling and paint peeling on the ceiling. Seriously, some money into upgrades and make it a better experience for people.
