High end feel, if you like that sort of thing. Wait staff seemed coached to minimize interactions, excepting our waitress. More seeming to be thanks actually being.
Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the meal. Went with my daughter and she had the sea bass. Absolutely loved it. I thought she was going to lick the plate! I had the chicken and it was good as well! Service was spot on. Very attentive so they must have read the bad reviews! Will go again!
Great food, atmosphere and service! As always! Love this place.
great service and atmosphere. food pretty good not great.
Great atmosphere, great food, great experience! One of our favorites.
Excellent food and service! Everything our server suggested was amazing! The lobster dim sum and Kobe on the rock are pretty much the best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth! The chocolate toffee mousse is to die for! We will be back for sure!
Loved it as usual. It’s one of my favorite restaurants.
What a wonderful restaurant this is. From the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty. The menu was not as large to confuse you and our server “Kristen” was magnificent in helping us select our meals. We totally enjoyed our evening.
Went here for dinner on V Day. Staff was wonderful. Enjoyed the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff. Food was flavorful and well prepared. Will be back again!
Lovely decor and classy ambiance. Delicious food--we had the chilean sea bass. The signature cocktail (Drunken Buddha) is a prodigious experience if you eat the button. Excellent and knowledgeable server.
The service was awesome the minute we walked in the door. From the hostess stand to the end of the meal everyone was very attentive and accommodating. The food was spectacular. I highly recommend getting the Kobi on the rock as an appetizer! Fun to cook at the table and delicious! For a true dining experience I highly recommend Jing!
I have been to Jing before and have always enjoyed the experience. I really enjoy their bar - they make an excellent martini, and have a horizontal fireplace that makes the experience rather cozy. The décor in the restaurant is also nice, and the wait staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was excellent - we shared a sushi roll as an appetizer that was very good. For the second course I had a lovely kale salad and my friend had the soup which smelled divine. We then shared an order of Peking Duck which was really good. The skin was super crispy and the duck meat was tender. Although I am not an expert on Peking Duck, my friend said it was one of the best she'd eaten. I would recommend the restaurant for those looking for a nice dining experience in comfortable and inviting setting.
Honey scallops and shrimp were over battered and fried. Definitely not light or “flash” fried!
After years of coming to Jing with adults and raving about so many things, I realized this time that they are quite simply not kid friendly. at. all. and that changes my opinion of the restaurant, unfortunately.
Service was terrible. We go to Jing a lot and were disappointed.
Good food & service.
This visit to Jing was a disappointment. We've had some good experiences in the past, but we felt that the food this time around did not live up to expectations. Salads were fine, but the sushi was average with an expensive price tag. Best value of wine was Prisoner ($62/bottle) and that was enjoyable. However, when we were considering another bottle the server intentionally tried to steer us toward a $125 bottle. Not sure if we'll go back anytime soon.
The sushi was good. My meal was just okay. Kung pao scallops were disappointing
Nice place...been here for lunch lots of times, first time for dinner. Ordered appetizers and some sodas and dinner. Server was a bit odd. Felt like they were trying to rush us out the door. We don’t drink alcohol and a couple people were vegetarians, so our food bill wasn’t huge. I’m sure they were anxious to get the next table in.
I had high expectations of the food at this place, but was disappointed. The high price paid was really for the ambience more than the food.
I celebrated my birthday here over the weekend and it was such a great experience! This was my second time coming and it definitely exceeded my expectations. Food, and drinks were great. Our waiter was very professional and very attentive, the place itself is absolutely beautiful inside! Definitely will be back!
Jing is always top notch on service, food and atmosphere. Great wine list and huge menu selection. The miso sea bass is amazing as was the Kobe beef on a hot rock.
Excellent ambiance, food, and service. We were seated near 2 large groups that were celebrating birthdays and the noise level was good and the service was top notch despite the fact that the staff in our area were also servicing large groups. Excellent experience overall and would highly recommend!
The waiter, I can't remember his name could be taylor or tyler, was not very attentive, and when he was, I felt he was just trying to turn tables. He didn't even ask if we were finished with appetizers before he took the plate away. The chef plated my 16 oz bone in steak on a cold plate, ugh. The Food was delivered by a runner who didn't even bother to ask if we needed anything such as silverware, so we sat there trying to get the waiters attention for several minutes while the food continued to get colder waiting on utensils. The Wasabi potatoes were nothing short of cold just plain ole potatoes mashed and were dry.
The food is wonderful ~ the service (Steven) sucked! If I could leave "NO" stars for service I would. We had a guy who didn't introduce himself (got his name from the receipt), never smiled, and it was like we were bothering him. I originally ordered a vodka & cranberry and they were out of cranberry. I wasn't sure what I wanted, so I asked for a few mins to decide. I ordered a mojito, which was just average. Later I decided to have a strawberry dacquiri ~ that was a mistake. It looks like a mojito, but only has sweet n sour in it. It also has the mint and chunks of strawberries. This is in the middle of dinner (with no menu/drink selection, so I am just assuming I'm getting a regular strawberry dacquiri). When I tried it and said I didn't want it, the attitude really came out!! He then asked to box up my food while I have a fork in hand and food in my mouth! Really?! We felt as though he was trying to turn our table. We never got water refills and were never offered dessert. In fact, I think they were running out of glasses, b/c another waiter came over and took our glasses from the table w/out asking. So we sat there for another 40 mins and chatted. Spoke to someone at the front after dinner who was not empathetic at all. We were not demanding and didn't ask for much at our dinner. We left to have dessert at another restaurant close by and left a big tip for our new server who served us dessert!
I've been a server and I know how the industry works. It's not that hard ~ if you are having a bad time in your life and can't be nice to others, stay home. I understand that servers count on their tips ~ but make a little bit of an effort and maybe the tips will be bigger. The world is not a bad place and not everyone is out to get you. I actually feel sorry for this guy and hope that he can get to a better place in his life.
I used Open Table to book the reservation and it asked me if this was a special occasion. It was a friends bday. No one mentioned it all!!
We had a wonderful time . Food was excellent. The server asked right in the beginning whether we had a time schedule....we did....and they served everything quickly and efficiently.
A real pleasure, highly recommend.
Food was great! I wouldn’t recommend Jing for a date or business meal as after an hour, the server completely ignores you.... no more water, etc.
Great time !
Had dinner with friends, the Shishito peppers were excellent, great flavor and not too hot. We also enjoyed the Hamachi Dynamite Roll and the Sashimi Trio. The Peking Duck could have been served hot, but the flavor was great. The Sea Bass was also an excellent choice with asian flavors. Thai Basil with chicken had just the right amount of jalapeno. Our service was great, not to pushy but showed up just as we needed assistance. Ambiance is great in the restaurateur, however, the bar was vibrant and very loud. We showed up a bit early and there wasn't a seat in the bar and really no place to stand and get out of the way. Overall, we will go back, great food and service.
Had the most amazing meal at Jing for my fiancé and I’s last date night as an engaged couple. The honey shrimp and scallops were to die for! My fiancé ordered sushi which he loved! We ended our meal with the chocolate mousse cake and Drunken Buddha cocktails which are A MUST try! Thanks for an amazing evening, great service, and the best meal I’ve had in a while!
