Desde 1921 Jim´s Pace es un lugar tradicional para cenar en Memphis, fue a mediados de los años 30 cuando Nick Taras y Jim Katsoudes abrieron su primer restaurant en el sótano del Hotel William Len en el centro de Memphis, Nick junto a sus hermanos Bill Y George abrieron un segundo local en Union Avenue frente al Hotel Peabody. Jim’s fue un punto de referencia para cenar en Memphis durante muchos años, en 1967 se mudaron nuevamente a South Second Street cuando los hijos de Bill, Costa y Dimitri se unieron al negocio. En 1976 Jim’s Place East abrió sus puerta y durante muchos años deleitó a toda una nueva generación de comensales. Para el año 2006 Jim's Place cambió de sitio ubicándose más hacia al este hasta Collierville cuando Dimitri abrió Jim's Place Grille junto a sus dos hijos, James y Sam. It is so sad .... Went to Jim 's place last night. Had not been there in several years. Did not know. It changed ownership. At 7:30pm on a Friday night there were many many empty tables. Food was ok - my salad was very "watery" and chicken livers so salty. Had to ask waiter for water refills. Put our gratuity on check (we were with a party of 6) and then told us we could add more. Just not the same Jim's. With so many wonderful restaurants in our town they need to step up.

This was opening night. The restaurant was not as ready as they should have been. I will try again later. This was the first time I used the reservation online. It worked great. Thank you.

This is the second time I have a made a reservation for this restaurant on OpenTable to arrive and see the restaurant closed. All that was on the door was a cheap fast-food style hand written sign saying now closed for lunch and only open for dinner. If this is the case, then don't allow reservations for Sunday brunch. This place has gone so downhill over the past couple of years, and I should have known by the subpar overall rating now on OpenTable (a service of which they cannot even manage properly)!

High prices for what you get - $125 for 2 people with 1 $7 drink each. Steak ($38) ordered medium rare & came out literally charred/burnt. Fish ($35) was way overcooked as well and very dry. 3 things we asked for were "out of stock". Waiter was young and inexperienced, we had empty tea glasses for 20 minutes before we could find him to get refills. New head chef spent 20-30 minutes in the dining room talking to two tables of elderly couples (Which was really all that was there. We are in our 50's and were easily the youngest customers, and it was a Saturday night). Very limited side dishes. The waiter did say they were going to have a new menu soon, so maybe that will help. I've been there for lunch several times, and it is always very good, but will NOT go for dinner again unless they make a lot of changes.

We caught them in the transition. To truly review would not be fair. Looking forward to the new MENU and the new wine selections.

Jim's place has an extensive menu that should satisfy diverse palates. The service needs to improve. More servers per table & Hostess should not be taking takeout orders when they are busy. Will go again. If seevice does not improve, will switch to carry out

For the type of place and value. One would think that the customer would not have to box up there own food. Also when we ordered drinks. We had to wait for the bartender to make them. As the server informed use on this

Took my beautiful date here for New Years! Everything was amazing. The NY strip steak was cooked perfectly. We can't wait to go again.
