Whether you are in Seattle for a football, baseball or soccer game, or just a fun downtown getaway, Jimmy’s On First is the place to be. Friendly service and great food await you in this causal, upscale restaurant and bar.
View Private Dining DetailsOur waiter, Joe, was awesome. Very attentive. Offered to turn down volume on TV before we even noticed how loud it was just behind us. Very personable. Would love to have him again.
Unfortunately the service that we received at Jimmy’s on First during our visit today was horrible! The waiter was zombie-like! He made a mistake on the order for one of our party members and argued with her about what she ordered! (Even though everyone else at the table clearly heard what she ordered and confirmed he had entered in the wrong item...note he did not write the order down, nor did he repeat it back to us). It then took about 30 minutes for the restaurant to bring out the correct order, and the rest of us had already finished our meals. I dine here fairly regularly, and this experience was so negative that I don’t think I will return for awhile. Horrible!
Concert .. waitress was great and food came in ample time
Always good food, great staff, comfortable seating.
We shared an Eggs Benedict with a side fruit bowl. Our friend had the Olympic Scramble. All the food was delicious, the server was delightful, and we were out of there in time for our event. We would not hesitate to patronize Jimmy's again.
Great food and service.
We enjoyed an excellent lunch with friends during boat show.
Don't expect to get in and out of this restaurant in any reasonable time frame. Slow service, food was even slower to come. Could tell some of our dishes had been sitting under the lights so long the top of the buns were hard. Other items were cold - fish tacos... Not sure why we left a tip.
My server was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu.
Our food was delivered quickly and hot. I had the boneless fried chicken, which is some of the best I’ve ever had. Loved that they gravy came on the side so I controlled the portion.
One of the best clam chowders and creme brulees I've had!
Food was good, waiter was attentive, and the staff was friendly. Enjoyed it very much. THANKS!
Service was sub par, waitress did not know the menu, did not know how to answer any of the questions we had about the food or beverages.
We ordered an appetizer off of the featured sheet, she did not know what it was or how to describe it. We then ordered a Caesar salad to start, did not have much dressing on it if any at all. And all of our food came out at once. The best thing was the chicken, and the Jimmy’s fries. Great way to end the experience was the warm chocolate cake that came out cold, she did describe that well, but the cake did not live up to her description. That was taken off the bill, which was nice, but service was lacking in knowledge and timings, and food was just ok. Usually we aren’t ones to complain, but it was not worth the $ we spent. Good place for hh I assume as this was something the waitress did know about, but she was uninformative and seemed not to care that we did not get seated with the menus or want to get them for us. No manger took the time to come by but the cake off the bill was a nice gesture.
Pre Sounders Playoff match so it was busy. I made reservations ahead of time, glad I did. Though busy, service was quick, waiter responsive, and the food was good. Go SOUNDERS!
No reservation needed on a non-baseball, non-event Thursday night. The bar was packed, with every seat taken. The restaurant, however, was dead.
My service was phenomenal while I waited for my friend to arrive. The server even grabbed my friends orders to have it ready when she got in. The food was great!! We both got different sandwiches and my goodness, the Jimmy’s Sweet Potato fries!!!! More of that please.
I had a spectacular cocktail called the Bloody Bacon Martini, and yes please, may I have another. Zesty and a strip of bacon included.
I will be happy to go back here when I am in SODO. No questions asked.
It was really quiet on this Monday during lunch hour. No Stadium events happening that day. Our waiter was perfect. He was on top of everything for our group of 11 and every dish came out simultaneously and appropriately hot or cold.
After a long day of exhibiting at the Convention Center, Jimmy's is just the right spot.
Another much anticipated post Refuse to Abuse 5k celebratory brunch. The thought of Jimmy's Brioche French Toast has us salivating as we support a worthy cause. Jimmy's never disappoints!
We were there on a non-game day, meaning no soccer, baseball, or football going on at the local stadiums. While you could watch televised sporting events on several TV monitors throughout the restaurant and bar, the sound was appropriate to carry on conversations. I had the fish tacos and crème brûlée for dessert, both were excellent.
So it was a great place to gather for conversation and happy hour. The service was great and the food was, too. Love that it had free valet parking ( only on non-game days) .
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone because of the server we had.
Waitress was rude. Checked on us (party of 9) once. We were celebrating a bday and I was told the bday girl gets a dessert and she received nothing! Won't be going again.
I love this place! It is very conveniently located in the SODO area of Seattle and the hotel (Silver Cloud) in which they are located provide complimentary valet parking which contributes tremendously to the convenience. The food is decent, as well. I would recommend this place!
Great place for a business lunch with coworkers or clients.
We were looking for a good, casual place for early afternoon brunch that was open on Christmas Day. Jimmy's fit the bill perfectly, the eggs benedict my wife and I ordered were excellent, especially the roasted potatoes, and our usually very finicky late teen daughter loved the brioche French Toast and sausages. She loved the cinnamon sugar butter!!
go here as a last resort. very last.
Great food nice to not have to wait to be seated
Our waiter was attentive and very accommodating!!!
We ordered the Turkey Special for Thanksgiving. It came with:
- turkey
- gravy
- onion strings
- cranberry sauce
- sweet potato puree
- green bean casserole
- a bun
- a slice of cranberry pumpkin pie for dessert
The manager was very helpful, describing the turkey special to us, but our server left some to be desired. We specifically went looking for turkey dinner, and when placing the order, I asked our server if it was possible to get any other dessert besides the cranberry pumpkin pie as I'm not a big fan, and he explained that there was an apple crumble he may be able to switch for, but that it was unlikely as it was all a package deal. When our meals arrived, he said to us that my plate was warm and that my boyfriend's was blazing hot (had these been under heat lamps for that long?)
Tucking in, my turkey was warm on the outside and cold on the inside, but I was way too hungry to care. My boyfriend's plate was missing onion strings, so I gave him some of mine. We brought this up politely with the server, so he brought us back a cup full of them and dropped them on the table without eye contact orcommunication of any sort, as if this were a burden. We were never asked how our meals were. Our coffees were, however, kept topped up.
Now, I must give some praise - though the food was not necessarily hot, the flavour was delicious. We gazed across the table at one another several times in bliss. Absolutely wonderful.
As we finished our plates, the dessert arrived. Two pieces of cranberry pumpkin pie. Sigh. If our server had told me that he couldn't switch the pie, I would have invited them to give that piece to someone else or something. I was kind of shocked that no effort was put forward to make my meal complete to my satisfaction (I would gladly have offered to pay more for another item)! I had a bite of the pie and that was enough.
Disappointed. I doubt we will go back with so many other restaurants in the city to try out.
Hands down the worst restaurant I've ever been to across 4 continents around the world. Everything poor, service and quality of food particularly.
They're only staying open because of location, next to Safeco Stadium.
Do not even bother trying it for a meal it's utter garbage
Our group of 12 came for breakfast & to watch Seahawks, away game.
Food, Drinks & Jeff server/bartender was great!!!
Thank you.
We came here before the Billy Joel concert. Even though it was crazy busy, the food and service were great. Get the filet Mignon sliders! We got there a little early and waited in the bar for our reservation time. Even though the bar was crazy, the bartenders were on their A-game.
Fantastic service! Food was great, overall positive experience. Will be going back!
Not a bad place to eat that is next to the stadiums. Staff is super polite, and I was surprised at how nice the establishment was. Brunch hit the spot!
Not only were they ready for a group of 10 but Waiter was so good.
Young people had a great time, It was not busy so we could hear each other.... Breatkast was just as good
Found this one of the few places open on Christmas day. Glad we found it, we had a really nice time with great food and service too.
The restaurant had a good atmosphere and plenty of space. The food was good, but not necessarily traditional (e.g., the Caesar dressing and the Bolognese sauce were good, but not traditionally flavored). The only issue we had was the very slow service. We were there for 2 hours for lunch, when normally lunch takes us an hour or so.
The thanksgiving dinner was perfect for 82 year old mom: easy for her to navigate the restaurant, noise level at noon hour was low; food was good! Wait staff were terrific. Thanks Jimmy's!
Always a good meal and great service for a hotel restaurant. Also, free valet parking at the hotel if you eat in the restaurant.
we were greeted nicely. Server (Tuuli) was personable and patient as we delayed ordering apps and dinner. Food was well prepared, fresh, good presentation and delicious. Will recommend to our friends.
I came with a co-worker. Jimmy's is in a great location, close to my office. My entree was good, but I had the cheesecake for dessert, and surprisingly it had no flavor. I will still go back, but I won't be ordering dessert.
