Jimmy's on Broadway Ratings and Reviews
We have been coming to Jimmy's for years. We almost always have great service and food. The female manager is always very friendly, professional and classy. The coffee is expensive and I would like to see more vegan options, but you get nice sized portions of food and we have always enjoyed most of the items we have had. We go to Jimmy's for brunch and every Thanksgiving and Christmas. Very comfortable seating and nice atmosphere (minus the tv playing sports). We would highly recommend Jimmy's to anyone and we have.
I went for Thanksgiving Dinner. Admittedly I am a bit of a food snob, but it was more like cafeteria food than something put together by a cook. It was also warm, not hot when brought to the table. I will try again, however. It is convenient and friendly and moderately priced.
Our meal was OK. Service was good, but the food was only so-so. I didn't care for the design of the restaurant with multiple TVs. I'd expect that at a sports bar, but not at a hotel restaurant. If we hadn't been staying at the hotel, we would have gone out. There are many terrific restaurants in the area, so I wouldn't waste money and a meal here again.
We brought 8 friends together for a Sunday brunch at Jimmy's prior to a Seahawks game. The place was quite busy but the service was efficient, friendly and smooth. We all had great food, though there were many "to go" boxes needed due to the large portions. Most of us got two meals out of one brunch item. One couple split their item and both of them left feeling well fed. Despite the busy time the place was quiet enough that we could all hear each other talk. A real treat in restaurants these days!
My daughter attends Seattle University and we stay at the Silver Cloud on Broadway. Jimmy's is the restaurant attached and is also the provider of room service. The food is excellent and the menu is extensive. We always eat there at least once and/or order room service. It is convenient and delicious
Our group meets once a week and finds Jimmy's central Seattle location and excellent parking facilities an ideal gathering spot for Sunday brunch. Many in our group travel from outlying areas by public transportation or private auto. A few live wihin walking distance. The food is always top notch, service outstanding ...... and our table always set and ready to go! Dining at Jimmy's is a pleasure!
wanted a quiet area where 10 people could meet with a guest and have a discussion and not pay for a meeting room. Features that made it a success were relativly quiet area and very friendly service by staff and attentive service in ordering and delivering food to a large group
My freind and I went to Jimmys on Broadway as it had gotten some high reviews. My friend ordered a burger and he said it was good. I on the other hand ordered the beer battered fish and chips. The fish and chips were in fact not beer battered or fresh they were frozen and hand breaded and pretty awful. I had my hopes up for the fish and chips but they were terrible and I would not reccommend this resturant to anyone.
A very mediocre meal with very mediocre service. Our waitress seemed to be on top of it, but the kitchen was slow and the place was half empty. The menu and food looked like a thousand other restaurants in America: nothing new, nothing special, no imagination.
I love Jimmy's! My family goes there now for every holiday gathering. We went on Sunday for Father's Day, and the staff quickly accommodated our three extra guests who showed up at the last minute. They made room for a wheelchair, and a highchair. The blueberry pancakes are amazing as well. My family is very picky about coffee, and we love the piping hot coffee, especially when they leave a carafe at our table. My son ordered the brioche french toast which was somehow crunchy and fluffy at the same time. It is rare to find a restaurant with both impeccable service and delicious food...and Jimmy's has both!
Our flight attendant group, which numbers anywhere from 4 - 12, meet most Sundays for brunch. Because we all live throughout the greater Seattle area, we have found Jimmy's On Broadway to be a very convenient and central location. Jimmy's provides us with an excellent brunch menu at a reasonable cost, wonderful service, ample seating arrangements and convenient inside parking.
Thank you Jimmy's!!
Jimmy's food and service is always on point. And while it may not be the most "hip" place on Capital Hill, it is definitely one of the most consistent. Great brunches and lunches are the norm, with exceptionally high quality food and nice bar, but not too far off the beaten path for old school comforting Americana.
Expect an older more professional crowd, and a handful of seniors. This place is more luxury sedan than sport coupe - but exceptional none the less.
The goodness was great, but it was overpriced. We spent way more money for a simple meal than we should have. Was clean and the ambiance was nice, but it's a little outdated as far as decor and the pictures are a little deceiving. I would go again, but maybe for lunch or happy hour is best.
We were in town to visit family for Easter and we had a group of 11 people for dinner. The ages ranged from age nine to middle age. The staff welcomed us and made sure that we all were seated together. Even though we arrived early, the accommodated us and didn't make us feel like we were an inconvenience. The food was great, the drinks tasty, and the service prompt and friendly. We will return for future trips.
I brought five people from all over Seattle to Jimmy's for a business lunch meeting. Why Jimmy's? A great central location, excellent staff who provide professional service, a menu that allows almost anyone to find a nice meal and an environment that allows for quiet thoughtful conversations! This last item, an environment that fosters conversation is all too rare in Seattle restaurants these days.
Pretty generic "suburb" sort of place, not really in tune with Capitol Hill vibe... "national chain/family/sports bar", if you get my drift... with pretty good though unimaginative food, served professionally and quickly, in a clean environment. Very good for what it is!
Our group (retired Northwest Airlines flight attendants) have been gathering at Jimmy's for Sunday brunch the past several months. This would be our 12th or 13th gathering there. We had been meeting the Shanty on Elliott Ave for many years, however, they went out of business! So, we went on the prowl for a new place to bring us together and discovered you folks!
Many of us live in the downtown core, however; there are a few of us living in the northern and southern suburbs. Jimmy's central location makes it an ideal meeting place. And being on the bus and trolley lines is a plus for the non-drivers!
Your brunch menu is great...something to suit everyone's taste. Your chef does a fine job!!
And....you have a fantastic wait staff.....Jason was our server this past Sunday. Excellent job!
Finally, we do appreciate your letting us linger a bit to chat! We are like a family (30-40 years together for many of us) and these gatherings serve as a "family reunion" of sorts! Thanks so much for putting up with us.
Accolades to all of you!!
We went to this restaurant for a Saturday brunch. Meh... it was ok but definately not worth the price we paid for 2 Eggs Benedict and a child's mini pancake. All I can say is that I am thankful we had a gift certificate for this place so we weren't out of pocket too much.
It may be better for an evening out with friends... probably will never know though.
This is a nice restaurant with a varied menu, and you could spend less or more. You could have a nice meal without spending a lot of money. Food was very good. Ambience was good. We had dinner New Year's Eve there, and it was very good. We had breakfast there the following morning, Jan. 1. The service was rather slow and people who were seated after us, were served before us. Don't know why that was.
We chose Jimmy's on Broadway for Christmas dinner and man, what a mistake. From the unwelcoming greeting from the hostess (Table by the kitchen staging area and you've had a reservation? Whatever. Take it or leave it.) to the dismal food (prime rib and halibut swimming in unnecessary pools of sauce, cold accompaniments and a "steak" knife that was little more than a paring knife with a plastic handle engraved with heat damage and no edge -- I was supposed to use this on prime rib, the experience was dismal overall. High points: our desserts (excellent) and the cheery service.
Honestly, I could have stomached the very mediocre food if it weren't for the price point: $37 was way too much for what we had on the plate: slopped together food that was lukewarm at best and over-sauced.
We won't be back.
My family gathered for Christmas brunch, and found Jimmy's on Broadway to be delightful. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They made sure my elderly father was comfortably seated in his wheelchair, and were attentive and patient. The blueberry pancakes were fluffy and delicious, and I love the coffee! Thank you, Jimmy's, for making our family holiday gathering warm and inviting!
