Jimmy's Famous Seafood Ratings and Reviews
The waitress was horrible, it took forever to take our order and she only came to check on us once. I had to keep trying to get her attention to get the rest of our meal. The biscuits were cold the Mac cheese was watery and I was disappointed by the service. The only thing the manager did was punish the waitress by taking the gratuity off. The manager also reprimanded her in the front of the restaurant which is unprofessional. This was my second visit and total opposite of our first visit. The waitress never asked our preference on how we wanted our crab cakes and assumed we didn’t know what certain foods were on the menu. The rest of the food was good but I wished it was all hot. Hopefully the next visit will be as the first time. The crab cakes are worth coming back for.
never received my soup or salad. Had to ask about it when meal arrived. I took the soup, but it was too late for the salad. I thought they should have taken a little of the bill, but never did. Waitress never asked to refresh our drinks, never asked if we wanted dessert, she just gave me our bill. Dirty plates after we finished were never cleared.
While I do not typically lead with cost, I must say that this is an expensive dinner($300 for 4). Having said that, the crab cakes were as amazing as advertised. At $39 for 2 fist sized, no filler cakes means you get what you pay for. Broiled with a sauce and lemon on the side. Plus you get a side and I chose grilled asparagus. 3 of us chose the crab cakes plus 2 salads and a pretty good cream of crab soup. The lone holdout picked a seafood pasta diablo and it had plenty of shrimps & crab plus a bit of a kick to it. Regulars were greeted by name so this place is well established. The service was a bit lacking but it was a Saturday night at 7pm so not unusual and the server looked like he had been there since Capt Ahab crab fished.
I will stack these crab cakes up against the best I have had but would suggest $50 for Santa Marg Pinot Gris a bit high as was $4 for club soda and $18 for 2 crown royal rocks tells me to drink before or after dinner elsewhere.
Friendly waitress, delicious food and large portions. However, the waitress did not remember everyone's orders and didn't write them down. Ordered plate of raw oysters and didn't get them when everyone else got their soup/salad. When I asked, waitress played it off as though she didn't understand my order originally and went back to put in the order. Everyone had finished their soup/salad, and our entrees came out 15 min later but my RAW oysters took another 15 min! I should have refused the oyster plate when they finally came to the table but didn't. And, of course, no offer to reduce the check as a result of the delay. With 5 people at a table, ordering may have been too complicated for organized delivery of the food.
You find a view of the water, but you will have some of the best crab cakes ever! We dined at high tops around the bar and had a fabulous lunch. It is located outside of town a bit, but well worth the trip. They even have a fresh seafood market on site for purchases and mail order. Do try the crB Cakes, they were fantastic. They even prepare a gluten free crab cake if requested.
The food was excellent in Jimmy's Famous Seafood Restaurant. We got the crab cake and every mouthful was full of crab meat! Order 2 crab cake2 and was not able to eat the 2nd one. Packed it up for take out and had it the next day. Taste just as great as the first day. Definitely will be back at this restaurant!
Took my wife for her birthday. We always like to try new places. We had been trying to get to Jimmys for a long time. Finally we were able to try them out. Food and portions were phenomenal! Your server Yianni was great. He really took great care of us. Only con to the experience was how fast the food came. Halfway thru apps came soup and before I started the soup out came the entree. I noticed this with many tables. Food was still great! I recommend!
The best crab cakes on the planet. Also, one of us had fried shrimp and they were fantastic.....just the right amount of breading. The shrimp were thus preserved—you could taste shrimp and not breading. And the Maryland Crab Soup is always a treat.
We traveled from out of town to go to Jommys after seeing it on a shiw "Food Patadise". The trip was well worth it. The food was looked and tasted delicious. It was a great portion and worth every bite. The waitress was friendly and funny. I would definitely return and recommend to others.
My Husband and I were visiting from NJ and enjoyed ourselves. The food was unbelievable! Seasoned to perfection. The prices add up quickly and the gratuity is included so be mindful. Perfect for date night and all special occasions! Crab is a MUST HAVE!
My husband and I decided to try this restaurant based off of a friends recommendation. We were not disappointed! The crab stars were excellent, my crab cake was one of the best I've had, my husband loved his ceasar salad, snow crab legs and fried shrimp everything was amazing! We will definitely be back and bringing our out of town guests.
Took my son here for his 13th birthday on Sunday at 1pm. We made reservations on line and drove 45 minutes to get there. Every bit of it was worth the drive. The food, the service and the ambiance was wonderful. There was a Sunday brunch available but we elected to get a great appetizer and then prime rib and NY Strip with sides. You don’t want to miss this place!! This was our second time here and we will be back!! The prices are well worth it.
WE were a church group of 21 that came over for a fellowship based on one member recommendation. WE found that for a party over 12, the restaurant wanted a deposit for the bill. The coordinators didn't like this idea. Therefore the manager decided to seat 12 of us in a dining room and sent the others to the bar area for the meal. This was not good. After the main group was seated, we didn't have a server for almost 20 minutes, no water, bread or anything including silverware. A member in the group finally got a servers attention and inquired. A server then showed up and stated the server for this table was not due to work until 4PM. Why were we seated here? Ryan was his name, he tried with help from another server but it was too late. The damage had already been done. Bread and water were finally brought to the table. Orders taken, but we had to ask for everything we wanted. Not a good impression. Since I belonged to Open Table, I requested a reservation so that I could write a review. I found out that the staff had wanted to seat everyone together but the Manager overruled them and did the above seating. It was very confusing and I will not recommend this restaurant for anyone that want a good meal with good service. The manager appeared to micro manage everything as though the staff were not capable of making decisions for the betterment of the restaurant.
