Jimmy's at The Landing Resort & Spa
First the food is fabulous!
We made reservations for 7pm for my husband's birthday celebration dinner. Seated immediately.
Our selection was the Wild game (Elk chop) and Sea Bass. I also chose steak/vegetable soup. The soup was full of flavor with a nice balance of steak and vegetables. My husband loved his Elk chop and raved about the mashed sweet potatoes! He stated this was a the first time he loved sweet potatoes. My Sea Bass was cooked to perfection. A large portion of flaky white fish which melts in the mouth.
No room for desert but took a slice of cheesecake for later. Husband and I enjoyed the creamy cake later. The cheesecake came with berries and white chocolate sticks. Yummy!
The service was swift and thoughtful.
The food and service was excellent. The best gnocchi I have ever had!!! Pricey, but the food was worth it. A great place to take a date!
Very very expensive for what you get. Hubby order rack of lamb entree and we paid $52 for three lamb lollipops!!! What happened to the rack??? The menu stated a rack.... I don’t mind paying that price, but it was very deceiving as my husband took three bits and the meat was gone! My pasta was way over cooked and needed more pizzaz. The service was excellent and the drinks were amazing!
If staying at the Landing this is an easy option for dinner. Food was good and views wonderful, service excellent, but the atmosphere was a little “soulless” and the dining chairs were not at all comfortable. Reasonable value for money
What attracted us to Jimmy’s at the landing was the fact they have wild game of their menu (and that’s hard to find in restaurants!) we had the wild Boar the evening we dined there and it was prepared to perfection. I would definitely go back the Jimmys .
Loved the ambiance but unless you have two hours to eat lunch, you shouldn't go
Our server Kelly, their Executive chef and Supervisor/Floor Manager that evening were all AMAZING!!!! Couldn't say enough great things about this place and it's people! By far our favorite in town!!!! THANK YOU!!!!
I have dined at Jimmy’s before and the food was great as was the service and ambiance. Easter Sunday was disappointing. The service was very good, but the frittata that was on the Easter brunch menu was dry, the mushrooms were lacking taste, and it was $17.00, way over priced for what I got. So, I would recommend Jimmy’s based on past experience, but not in this past Sunday’s food and the cost of that food.
A group of four of us had a wonderful 3 course meal. The wine list is outstanding, almost overwhelming but we had great assistance from the sommelier. Service was on point, the menu had something for everyone, and we left knowing we would return. I would definitely recommend this place to folks wanting to have a first class dinner experience.
Jimmy’s has definitely become one of our very favorite restaurants in South Lake. The food is delicious and the staff is always so friendly. The restaurant has a great vibe!
The view, the ambiance, the service, and ohhhhhhhhhhh the food... Divine!
Wow, I totally underestimated Jimmy's due to it's simple name, and online description as a Greek restaurant. The attention to detail given to every part of the experience...from location, to decor, to view, to music, to lighting, and then of course the sublime cuisine...amazing! I am still craving their endive & beets salad (see attached image) and the daquoise for dessert was the single best slice of cake we've tasted in at least a year. Sincerely wish we lived closer to experiment with more of Jimmy's menu. We will definitely be back next time we visit Tahoe. Thank you for such a wonderful date night!
Amazing food, great wine selection, super friendly server. A great experience
One of our go-to places in South Lake Tahoe for a special occasion or just plain pampering. We love sharing a bunch of the small plates and wine. The service is always welcoming and friendly, and the ambience is conducive to good conversation with friends and family.
Overall, the food was okay, but nothing special. We had high expectations and were a little disappointed in the food. The restaurant is very quiet and nice, plus the staff is very courteous and polite.
Outstanding! The food was both creative and incredibly tasty and the portions were quite generous. We loved everything - the food, the presentation of the food, the flavors, the creativity, the ambiance, and the service. We will definitely be back!
We were staying at the hotel, and heard great things about this restaurant. The ambiance is pretty casual, and the service was great. But the food was just okay. It's convenient cause we were staying there, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.
Roni provides excellent Customer Service. She ALWAYS goes above and beyond to satisfy her Guests needs. She is an AMAZING representation of why Jimmy's at the Landings has such an OUTSTANDING reputation! Thank you Roni! And, thank you to the entire staff at Jimmy's at the Landings
WOW! This place is simply beautiful! The Ambiance is gorgeous, the service impeccable and most importantly, the food is DEELISH! Did I mention the view? GO. NOW!
My husband and I were in a bind while visiting Tahoe in the winter. We were staying at a hotel with our dog and we couldn’t leave him alone there! We found this lovely dog friendly place that allows dogs in their lounge area- which is fabulous! They even have a dog menu. The human food was also really amazing!
The atmosphere in this restaurant was absolutely stunning. The staff was professional, personable and super fun. The food is amazing here, we were staying at the hotel and went whenever we needed to nosh, drink or have dinner. Amazing food.
Very enjoyable as always!
Incredible service & staff. Food was great & very accommodating.
You're not in a big city. This is very good food with a decidedly unhip atmosphere.
Anniversary dinner, lovely and expensive experience ;)
The restaurant manager was the rudest human I have ever met - totally offended by her
DO NOT GO
A nice restaurant but overly expensive with a small menu. The food was good not great. The restaurant is also very strangely designed. The people we very nice.
Very nice meal. Don’t love having dogs in the restaurant however...
We were extremely disappointed. I made the reservation well in advance. We assumed we would be seated in the dinning room but instead when we arrived we were told the dinning room was full and we would be seated in the bar area 5 feet from the singer. It was difficult to hear the waitress tell us the specials for the night as well as listen to each other. When we arrived we asked to be seated in Matt's area but were told he was off that night and then later found out he wasn't working there any more. We think Jimmy's should have notified us at the time we made the reservation that the only area available was in the bar area. We were looking forward to a nice Christmas Eve dinner in a nice restaurant with linen tablecloths. We do not consider sitting in the bar area as fine dinning. The presentation of the food also wasn't what we were use to in the past.
Great food. Great service
CARISIMO, mal servicio, fuimos por pan francés y NO había!!, pese a que estaba vacio!! Vista de ensueño
Returned to Jimmy’s after an initial positive experience to have a Thanksgiving Meal. The Preset menu was overpriced ($85) and the food was underwhelming.
My Turkey was cold & some under cooked. The Pumpkin Pie which I was excited about was a small round mini crust(tasted store bought) with a little bit of pie filling. Would like to see Gluten Free Options(stuffing & dessert). The best part of the pricey meal was my parsnip soup starter and service was friendly.
We won’t be back due to price and quality.
The property was acquired by Marriott Hotels, and I was not happy with the changes to breakfast in the restaurant.
Nice meal with a good view.
The cote de Beuf for two was cooked to perfection. Just like butter... Excellent food and elegant ambiance
The service was very slow. We had to wait 20-25 min to order and our waitress was not there when we want more drinks. The food was great. Maybe they were short handed.
My husband and I stayed at The Landing for our honeymoon and ate at Jimmy's one night and room service one night. Both meals were outstanding! The best meal of the trip and one of our top meals ever. Food is beyond delicious and atmosphere is great! We will be back for sure!
Nice evening at Jimmies. Husband had the Filet. He said it was great! I had the Gnocchi and Grilled Chicken. It was ok, too much gnocchi and not enough chicken. We had a nice small table that looked out at a fire pit so once the people by the fire pit left it was great to have the ambiance of the fire. Made the dinner more cozy! The staff was friendly and accommodating! Lemon Tart for dessert was great!!
We have been here a few times. Service was excellent, Sea Bass was delish, but the Gnocchi was very bland, heavy. I would recommend but stay away from the Gnocchi.
