Jimmy's at The Landing Resort & Spa
Each time we come to Tahoe we stop here for dinner. Food is really good and good portions. They treat you really nice. Love the place!!!
We enjoyed Thanksgiving Dinner at Jimmy's. Three of the six individuals in our party are vegetarians and Jimmy's was very accommodating. Jimmy's offered their regular menu in addition to a traditional turkey dinner. One individual in our party had the turkey dinner and commented the turkey was perfect, mash potatoes and dressing was better than his mom's. The other two individuals had the scallops which they reported melted in their mouths. We brought our own wine to do a vertical tasting and our waiter-Kevin, handled everything from opening, to decanting, to pouring it, like a pro. I would ask for Kevin again on any occasion. Highly recommend Jimmy's to all friends and family.
Absolutely terrible. Terrible food, terrible service. I went there for dinner and had the baked brie and scallops, both were disgusting. Went there for breakfast and decided to sit outside, the server checked on me once to take my order and was never to be seen again. I had to flag down a different server to get my check. Would not recommend this place, would not ever return.
It’s a lovely location. The eggs Benedict with lox was outstanding. Hash browns tasted left over from breakfast but JB did offer to replace them. Wine selection good.
Short staffed. All dinner options offered zero average fare.
Could not get room service because only one person on staff. When dining inside the restaurant, it seemed like it took forever to order and get the bill.
We did have table as reaerved. nd bottlw of wine aerved promptly. But food never came. We waited 45 minutes and finished the wine but waiter and food was a no show. Do not recommwnd for dinner or lunch. Come have a drink and enjoy thw beachside vista of tahoe. BUT beware of actually eating
Dinner Menu on OpenTable does not match menu in restaurant. We were looking forward to the mediterranean menu; however, there was no mediterranean food on the dinner menu.
Fantastic! Food portions are huge for breskfst
Maybe end of season mood, maybe the wedding that was going on, but everything was just average. And that is not enough for a 5 star resort with prices like that.
Excellent food, view and ambience. Enjoyable evening.
Very nice place, right on the lake, good food, strong menu, helpful attentive staff. My date’s chicken breast was reported to be dry, all in all a very nice dining experience!
The experience was great. It was quite loud at times due to college football being on in the bar but beautiful restaurant and great food.
Glad we found such a nice place to eat before seeing Duran Duran! We were seated at a beautiful table on the patio with Lake Tahoe right across the street! Gorgeous setting. It took a bit to get our cocktails but they were very worth the wait, excellent. Knowledgeable, calm server, skirt steak salad was wonderful, excellent Malbec, and the best, thick espresso ever. Loved it all and look forward to eating here again next time we visit. The man who was singing/playing keyboards was fantastic, he was making a lot of people happy!
Table we were seated at was the size of our plates. (Very small)
Steak was not a prime cut of meat. Very fatty. My wife's scallops were good. Not a 4 star restaurant, not even close.
The decor was chic and the view of the lake was nice. Brunch was good, decent sized portions. The setting was peaceful and relaxing until they cranked up the music, kind of killed the vibe. Service was friendly, but we had to ask for too many basics...coffee refill, butter and jelly for toast, change from paying in cash. If you’re looking for something a bit nicer than what you’ll find off the main drag in South Tahoe, this is a good option with a nice patio and lake view.
The location of this restaurant is great! Upon first impression, the restaurant was bustling but not crowded. The hostess was very polite and sat us in a great location. Water was brought over immediately, and by far the greatest part of the night was our waiter! I have never had such great service, nor such a genuinely kind person as a waiter. He made the experience for my girlfriend and I so wonderful. Made great recommendations and just felt like a friend who was serving us. The food was plated well and tasted perfectly! Girlfriend loved her wine choice, and the ambiance was terrific the entire night. I cannot say enough great things about our experience!
All amazing . However I was a bit disappointed in my meal. With the large number of people dining. The quality of food prep was rushed. This was not my first visit.
The service was below par, very slow, no checking in, food was fine but nothing to write home about. The price was to high for the quality of their breakfast offerings.
Great food and beautiful view of South Lake Tahoe. Live music and nice ambiance. Would definitely come back.
We made reservations at Jimmy’s for our first anniversary. The positives are the food, which was great, and Lake Tahoe at sunset. The restaurant has a romantic vibe to it, and we appreciated that. However, the negatives were blatant. With our reservation, it still took us ten minutes to get seated. This would be normal if it was busy, but it was extremely slow. Second, the service was pretty cold. The host and the waiter seemed to not care about our experience, and treated us as if we would never come back (it is in a hotel, so we were treated as passerby tourists). It took until we received our appetizer to receive our drinks, which were simple glasses of wine. And to reiterate- the restaurant was slow. The good news with the service is our food came out in good time and our water was always filled! Overall though, I wouldn’t recommend.
Great food and ambience, We arrived a bit before our reservation and had to wait, no biggie, Service was relatively quick and we finished our appetizer before they brought our entree, which is always nice. They comp'd the soup as it was too spicy for my wife and the dessert because we waited 20 minutes for them to bring it. Wasn't that big of a deal because of the great views of the lake.
All in all worth the cost, dessert was awesome.
Super good food, service, ambiance and everything.
Just a bit pricey...
one of best dining experiences in south Lake Tahoe.
great food, wonderful, attentive service makes this spot fantastic, even without the fabulous views
I barely leave reviews but our meal was fantastic! All 6 people loved their food. We made reservations and they saved us a wonderful patio table where we had the perfect view of the sunset over the lake. Their craft cocktails and wine were also fantastic. We got the baked ricotta and it is a must! I would go back to this restaurant just for that. The service was also outstanding. The desserts were the only thing less than stellar.
Nothing Greek about this place, not even a white fish on the menu. The food was overpriced and mediocre. Service was pretty tough too. Would never go back.
It was a beautiful evening at Jimmy's. The only thing I would have to say, is, that evening I was there, there was a wedding at the top of Jimmys so if you were hoping for a quiet evening, that wasn't the night to have one, other then that, I thought it was great.
The food was great, but the tone was set by the host Ricky who blew off my request for an outdoor table although there were 3 unoccupied tables available. We ended up moving the table we were given indoors to the outside with no acknowledgment from the host or other staff. It appeared that the outdoor tables were left open for walk-ins from the beach, not those with reservations.
Had a great meal at his place. The food choices were very good, something for everyone here. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating at least during the warmer months. It gets crowded more crowded close to sunsets as the restaurant is across the street from the Lake and the views are terrific. The bar is excellent and the wine list is as good as anywhere around the lake.
The downside for us was service. Our waiter was aloof. We ordered a bottle of wine which he delivered and then we never saw him again until dessert offerings. Not that we can’t pour our own wine, but I have never experienced the waiter not stopping back to refresh our glass. When seated by the hostess, there was very little greeting or welcoming attitude.
I would still recommend Jimmy’s because the food, view and ambiance overcame the shortcomings.
The service was great. The food something unacceptable. I would recommend only the cheese plate which was tasty indeed.
Our waitress was always “MIA” missing in action! We got our menus and waited over 20 minutes to order, then got our appetizers and never got our wine until halfwAy through dinner!
Too make matter worst she left a dessert menu and never came back. Had to go to host to pay our bill. It wasn’t even that busy.
Sorry not sorry won’t being going back:(. Food was great but not worth the waiting and waiting !:(
Very good, but a bit pricey. They are making me add more to make 50 characters...
Delicious food, plating was okay, service was a bit slow but decent. Great ambience, outside is right near a busy beach parking spot. Highly recommend French toast. Valet parking is available and you can use the beach.
Great food and beautiful views
I took my mom and special friends for lunch expecting a good view of the lake and a nice menu (from your 4 star rating). I was immediately disappointed in the view and the lunch menu which was mostly breakfast items. Not a good selection st all.
Chicken on my friends salad was very dry! Burgers were good. Pork on hoagie was also very dry. Not a good experience.
Jimmy’s patio location ended up being a bit of a disappointment. It’s by the beach, yes, but, through a large fence, across the parking lot, and behind a glass screen. The food was good, but not great although I’ll give a shout out to the corn fritters and the salted butter. Service was friendly but uneven. I asked for cold water with no ice and received water with lots of ice. My wine didn’t come until the middle of the starter.
Great service and food is a cornerstone of this place. Chefs are amazing at their craft and came out to check on us.
The server: Raquel or Roxy was wonderful & attentive! She knew her wines!
The food was wayyyyy over priced and the dishes were less than flavorful. The Pork loin was tastelessly bland and undercooked, and too many intrusive flavors on the carrot purée!
The 3 hoved pasta lacked in flavor and was Ho Hum...
If the food was continually made this way I would no longer return there!
The hostess screwed up on our reservation and it was like pulling teeth to get the right table! I believe her name was Miranda! We really enjoyed the hotel however Jimmy’s was such a disappointment!
They never even acknowledge the birthday we had at the table even though it was clearly stated on the reservation and with the hostess upon arrival as well. It is such a shame. Maybe a good training would help improve your restaurant and the quality of your food preparation! :((
We went at 8pm and it was not too busy so we did not have a wait.
Our drink order came fairly quickly but for the little things like water or sugar for the tea took several requests before they were brought out.
Our waitress seemed to disappear for long periods and the wait for our check was so long we went up to the front for the check.
Very nice ambiance for drinks and appetizers but dinner was iffy
Fantastic food with a fantastic view!
