Overpriced food and wine list. Not worth it at all.
Always great drinks, food and music,
Great wine list, amazing selection of Mezcal, and the cuts of beef were perfectly cooked.
Love it! Always go back when we are in town.
Ate outside on patio. Beautiful view, beautiful night, great food, great service, great night.
I was in Aspen for a few days and on my own for dinner one evening when I decided to try Jimmy's. I consider the way a restaurant treats its single diners to be the true indicator of its quality of service. I was seated at a surprisingly good table with a view, and my waitress was initially attentive. She even checked with the sommelier on a wine I had a question about. Then she took my order and disappeared. I did not see her again for the rest of the evening. In fact, no one checked on me from the time my food was delivered until it was time to clear my plate. The trout was excellent, but the service I experienced was very poor.
Most of the meal was excellent- except for the most expensive entree. The ribeye was okay, but for over $60 it should have been far better.
Lamb chops and Lobster Mac n Cheese were outstanding. As was the burrata and crab cakes. Drinks were excellent.
Highly recommended, just don’t order the ribeye. I’d def go back.
Very disappointing! We had one night in Aspen and had read reviews for Jimmy's and were very excited to have a wonderful meal. It was not to be. Aside from the amazing cocktail that my dinner partner enjoyed, the rest of the meal experience was subpar. We both commented several times that we could have made a much better meal at home and saved A LOT of money. For the price we paid, we should have just lit a match an burned the cash.
We ordered filet mignon and salmon. The filet was brown all the way through even though I ordered it medium. I sent it back and m dinner partner was completely finished with her meal by the time a new filet returned. This time it was slightly pink but still tough, tasteless and dry. The salmon was the same.
Great spot for dinner, good vibe, usually full but not tonight.
Steak was great but Trout over cooked and dry.
Hot fudge sundae w good but fudge was not hot. Little details were missed and not impressed especially since restaurant was not busy.
Restaurant was not very crowded. Numerous staff standing around. Took an extremely long time to get appetizer and had to ask for bread. Would
Great family restaurant.
Service was wonderful!
Very accommodating, especially with our 5yr old. The food was well prepared. The service was excellent. Thanks to the whole staff!
It's always such a pleasure to dine at Jimmy's!
Thank you for your great food and service!
A fantastic option every time, I love Jimmy's for any occasion or just stopping in for one of their amazing cocktails or a glass of wine.
Nice setting, although climbing a lot of stairs is a bit tricky for elderly customers. We were not impressed with the setting or the service, but the food was excellent. Prices are extraordinarily high, even for Aspen.
Friendly service. Great food and wine. Kids are welcomed. Overall one of our favorite spots in Aspen
Bedienung war super. Preis Leistung für europäische Verhältnisse ok. Der César Salat ist nicht empfehlenswerte. Weine sehr teuer. Surf and Turf sehr gut.
Good as always
Took forever to order then 1:30 min to get our foid
Great steaks, loved it
Standard place, nothing special, other than the mixology cocktails were cool. Food was good, but serving sizes were way too large. Service was slow and somewhat "standoffish."
Nice location and good food. Bar at the entrance is loud, but thankfully separated from the main restaurant .
Fun dinner for a special occasion. Appreciated our table location not in the middle of the dining room, as that would have been a bit noisy. All the food was exceptional.
Generally we like Jimmy's, but food on this most recent visit was mixed. The filet was great, but the American-style Kobe beef ribeye cap was disappointing. Why do they smother the entire plate with fried onions? It not only looks unappetizing, but usually suggests the kitchen is trying to cover something up. Odd presentation for a pricey cut of meat (which also was a bit overdone).
Love Jimmy’s! Service and food are excellent. does get a little bit loud in the dining room but nothing crazy. Reservations highly recommended. A true steakhouse always a treat for us to dine there.
We had a very good meal at Jimmy’s. Service was very friendly and prompt. Food was pretty standard chop house fare but well prepared.
The service and sommelier were outstanding, but my NY Strip was just okay - it was cooked properly at medium, but did not have much flavor. I expected a better steak from a steakhouse.
Very friendly and helpful service. The food is delicious and the crab cakes are amazing. Great hang out very relaxing and enjoyable environment. And they also have a great wine list.
Even though we have been coming to Aspen for many years, first time at Jimmy’s.
Everything we had was excellent especially their trout entree.
Definitely would come back again as besides for really good food, Jimmy’s is a decent value for Aspen
Overall everything was pretty good with our group. Nothing exceptional and nothing average. I would definitely go back here.
While in Aspen you have to visit Jimmy's. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Thomas served us well and made great suggestions. There are plenty of nice places to eat in town but Jimmy's is now at the top of our list.
They made us wait to seat us and when we got into the dining room there were a bunch of empty tables. Our reservation was at 9pm and they sat us at 9:20pm. Even though there were plenty of empty tables throughout the evening, the table of four right next to us decided to make it a table for seven with three additions they’d met in the bar. One of the men moved his chair so far back, he was between my husband and myself throughout our meal. They were extremely loud and I was very surprised the manager didn’t move us. The food was good and the waitstaff were very attentive. I think if we had been at a different table, it would have been a better experience. This is not something I would expect from a highly recommended restaurant. The bar was extremely crowded and it took most of the twenty minute wait to get the bartender’s attention. I don’t expect to be served right away but a simple acknowledgement would go a long way instead of acting like they are doing you a favor by pouring you a drink. It seems like you have to by pushy or rude to get anywhere. Too bad.
We love Jimmy's for the atmosphere, but what they serve for the money is immorally expensive. Do NOT ever order that tuna tartare, when the plate came to the table we were shocked, there was hardly any tuna tartar on that plate, as a restaurant owner or chef, I would be ashamed to serve a portion that sizeI, one needed glasses to see the tartare. I tried the pork, nothing special, not bad, but also a dish not to remembered. You get better pork at Su Casa for a lot less money. I would recommend to stay simple at Jimmy's, a Hamburger and fries, that might be ok. But with the tuna tartare they served us, they basically called us stupid idiots. The only real reason to go is the atmosphere.
Excellent food great drinks friendly service just a good time all around
This has been my 3rd time to Jimmy's and it get's better each time. The steak is superb! It has a great atmosphere as everyone seems to be having the best time. Jimmy's Mac n Cheese is off the charts! Overall it is a great steakhouse!
We always love jimmy's when we are in Aspen. Good food, nice wine, and great service! Also, one of the best bars in town.
Jimmy's is always on our "must visit" list when we're in Aspen. Regarding meals, its the highlight of our trip! The staff is always extremely knowledgeable and professional and we've never had a bad meal! Probably the best steak I've ever had! Keep up the good work!
Been here several times over the years. Great filet mignon, the Jimmy's meatloaf is outstanding, drinks great. Nice ambience, good service. A great Aspen experience, one of the best in town.
