Love the Bougatsa! Thanks for holding us one!!!
We came here with friends for an after theater matinee performance. Had eaten here before. The menu is extensive with typical Greek food. Dinners include soup or salad. I had lentil soup---very good! Friends had salad, large portion and full of cheese. Crispy and fresh. Couldn't decide what to choose, so I orders a mixed platter (so glad they had that) of gyro meat----lots of it, well-seasoned, and moist, not dry. Platter also had a wedge of moussaka which was fluffy, tasty, delicious and a wedge of spinach pie, freshly made that day---very good. Also Greek potatoes, and tasty veggies in a sauce. Someone else ordered a shrimp dish, lemony, over rice----very tasty and plenty of nice sized shrimp. Of course they brought out, and refilled, baskets of pita bread. Portions were large---took some home. Decent value.
Would certainly go back again!
Always fun and delicious! The service is friendly, if a little slow, but we always love the servers, as they have great attitudes. We were in FL for a month and went back twice, with different friends each time. Everyone loved it!
Good food great staff
We were a group of eight, reservation made and honored. The service was great and everyone was pleased with the taste and quality lf the food. Jimmy the Greek's has been around for many years and never fails.
This is the worst greek restaurant ! Service was not good all around not a good experience.
After hearing good things about the restaurant, iwe found it very disappointing. Service was lackadaisical; they were out of many items. They seemed to be peeved we were there. The food was on par with a Greek restaurant in a shopping mall but at many times the cost. Putting lemon juice on everything doesn’t make it Greek food. Much too expensive for what we got.
Small unappetizing salad, not enough ingredients,
Entree small, still hungry
Food temperature too cold. Then reheated and served while others at table were finishing eating.
Server cleared dishes just as I was beginning reheated meal making me feel rushed
Birthday cake desert was served while I was eating
Again very rushed
Good lemon soup. All else edible at best
we took friends for an enjoyable dinner. but, the grilled octopus was chewy and over cooked. the lamb shank was served cold. ugh!
this place is off my list.
They didn't have our table. They were busy
Awful service .. off our list
AWFUL! We were ignored by wait staff. Others who were seated after us were attended to before us. When we called someone over he said he wasn't a waiter even as he was bringing out food and clearing tables and couldn't take our drink or dinner order so we waited a bit longer. A waitress finally came to take our order. It was getting late and we lost our desire for a glass of wine and ordered our dinner. We waited for over 40 minutes for our dinners to arrive. We had allowed ample time for a leisurely dinner pre-theater and now had to eat quickly with no time (or desire at this point) for coffee. My chicken kabob was dry and the rice cold. We had to ask for bread and a basket with pita was thrown down by a passing waitress. Food was terrible and service even worse. This was our first and last visit to this restaurant.
Delicious as always!
The restaurant is a good all around Greek restaurant. Some of the dishes were good while others were not. Lamb was a bit tough and over cooked for what we ordered. The vegetables were also over cooked. Salad and octopus were good. Service was friendly and attentive. Probably makes for a great lunch restaurant.
this seems to be a local hot spot for the over 75 crowd. The food was fine but I felt like I was eating in dining room of a retirement home. I felt sorry for the hardworking staff who had to deal with a crowd of hard to please people. We couldn't enjoy the food
Large portions and great value. The food is excellent and plentiful. We really enjoyed the olives and feta. Also the mousska, both veggie and meat, was fantastic. Hearty Greek comfort food!
Delicious Greek food in a fun ambiance.. the lemon soup was tasty.. lamb chops were perfectly cooked and accompanied by yummy potatoes and green beans.
The dessert was a crunchy phyllo filled with a creamy filling . Thank you to our waiter who gave us great service..
Loved this restaurant and would return..
Great neighborhood dining!
Food had to be returned. It was inedible. They also mentioned when we told them this was an open table reservation that they had no idea what we were talking about. Hopefully we will get our points for going to that restaurant.
Excellent food, the octopus was very tasty, hummus and gyros were generous portions. We will be back!
I went back after few days, 7:45 pm and they didn't let us eat because they will close at 8, two tables we're still eating ..very disappointed!
Alway consistent with nice menu
Very nice neighborhoods spot, it was very tasty definitely will return
The best Greek salad!
Delicious as always.
Very friendly staff, food was not quite hot enough and bathroom needed cleaning.
Good, authentic Greek food. Chicken lemon soup was delicious as was the chicken penne dish (special of the day) and the chicken souvlaki were delicious as well.
My parents are regulars and I'm always thrilled to eat at Jimmy's when I'm in town. They service is always impeccable , the food is delish and you can't beat the value. The fact that we dined on a Monday and the place was packed is a great indicator of how good it is!
Service was excellent! Ava is so sweet! Stephanie is always a doll with her Davy sense of humor! We had bronzini at the recommendation of Ava, and it was delicious!
Food was cold and service was terrible. Would not recommend.
This was probably some of the worse food I have had. The waitress was wonderful, but the chef atrocious! Upon arriving at the restaurant the hostess couldn't put her iphone down to help us. We found our party by ourselves. Noisy, terrible food.
Excellent food from the appetizers to the main dishes. Very reasonable prices
Service slow, salmon small thin and over cooked. Wrong salads brought to table that had to be sent back.
The chicken medrodaphne
Made a reservation on Open Table, but waited 20-25 minutes to be seated. Once seated waited a half hour for someone to take our order. Waiter just kept mumbling to himself and looking at us, but never stopped to take the order. The wonderful manager finally took our order and it came out perfectly. Food is always delicious and although we've had to wait sometimes for service, (we go often, but never without a reservation) it's usually manageable. We love going to Jimmy's because the food is great, the service staff is usually terrific and professional and it's a very comfortable place.
This was our first visit. Very very busy place because prices are reasonable and the menu is extensive. Our reservation was not on their list but we did get an outside table without waiting...only looks onto a parking lot but preferred to inside. No wine list although an acceptable bottle was brought. We enjoyed the included salad and the fresh pita. Dinners were salmon, grilled with a light kemon sauce, and lamb chops cooked perfectly medium rare.
I go to Jimmy the Greek often with friends or just with my husband The service is always good. The food is also consistent and good. I always have fish which is really well prepared. If you want elegant dining and ambiance. This would not be it. If you have grandkids no worries this is a good choice
Food and service was good. We had an Open Table reservation which they didn't have. Showed the reservation on my cell phone to them. Had to follow up with Open Table as our reservation was never submitted back to them for our account.
Didn't have our reservation when part of the party arrived. They were told no reservation. When I arrived hey found the reservation. We had 6:45 and were seated 7:15. Service was slow and we're not served our main dish until 8:45, plus being very noisy.
FOOD IS ALWAYS GOOD, NEVER HAD A BAD MEAL. THE BRANZINO IS ALWAYS GREAT
