We have had two very different experiences at Jill's recently. One dinner with four of us in January was wonderful - great food, great service, thoroughly enjoyable experience. This weekend, we took 7 people to dinner to celebrate a very special birthday. It was a miss from start to finish. It took 2 different bartenders a total of 3 trys to make a margarita that was still substandard at best. Our meals ranged from mediocre to good - not great. The service was average - not great. And their much anticipated specialty of the house dessert - bananas foster made table-side - was not available because they were out of bananas. Overall, the experience definitely took the 'special' out of a special celebration.

I think they need a menu revamp since the one they have is getting old. The food is reasonably good, but the service here is always a little bit off, probably because they have trouble finding help.
The brunch always has the best dishes in the entire metro area. The ambiance is simply amazing . Every Sunday is different and I've never been disappointed. The most amazing dish this time was a cheese made of chèvre! That was an amazingly rich bit of dessert.
We went for Denver Restaurant Week and were so glad we did! Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. I had the Vegan Carrot Osso Bucco and while I tasted the chicken- the flavors of the carrot were so amazing and the dish was so beautiful! I loved it!!

Myvfruens and I visited Jill's for Denver Restaurant Week. I had the lamp chops and my friends bith had the trout. Our meals were wonderful. The tomato and burrata salad was superb. Our waiter was so nice! We totally enjoyed the evening.
Had an amazing experience food was phenominal. Staff was extremely kind.
Really enjoyed the Friday vegan buffet. It had a tasty variety and is a unique dining opp that included a glass of red wine in the price. Service was great, too. I'll go back again soon.
I think I have been spoiled by the sunday brunch. The weekday ooo la la brunch was just ok. It was a good price at $16. For me I would love to see an extensive salad bar as part of this brunch. The desserts were manifique.
This is the go-to place for my Mom and I to have our "lady's who lunch" dates. All week they stage a wonderful, range of delicious lunch buffets, but our favorite day is Friday. There is a great variety of vegan food and desserts that are wonderful, refreshing, delicious dishes and salads and neither of us are vegans. We just love the food. We've been coming here for years, the atmosphere is so lovely and special with large windows, wood and creamy marble surrounds. The service has been great every time. Many fond memories here at Jill's and many more to be made.
I loved the Monday Vegan menu! I am a vegetarian and was THRILLED to see all the options. The food was delightful, I was stuffed after 5 courses.

Quiet in the restaurant. I think most folks were doing happy hour food and drinks in the lobby with couches and tables. Would have been good either way but a lot quieter inside the actual restaurant vs the lobby. Very kind and attentive service.
I organized a meeting on the CU campus, which included out of town guests. Several of the visitors and some locals had dinner together at Jill's. I have done this many times at many Boulder locations, and this was THE BEST experience. The food was outstanding, and the ambiance was perfect for adult conversation (my hearing is not the greatest). I will definitely be doing this again. Jill's is a real gem. AND, it snowed that evening, and the underground parking was a real plus.

My daughter and I went for the vegan Monday 5 course meal, as a special treat. We enjoyed the dinner very much (except we were not crazy about the mac and cheese or the apple cake dessert). One thing you should know is to allow PLENTY of time. It was 2 full hours from the time we arrived till the time we left and it didn't seem that busy. The portions aren't huge, because there were so many courses (we were plenty full), so it wasn't that it took us long to eat each one - it just seemed to take a LONG time to serve each one. Luckily, we were not in a rush. The food was very tasty. We were clear in the beginning that we both wanted gluten free food, but the croutons still arrived on the salads and we had to send the bread back and we had to wait extra long for the mac and cheese because, apparently, the kitchen had not prepared a GF mac and cheese ahead of time. I think that was all the waiter's mistake - it also took him till dessert to bring us our hot tea, which was ordered at the beginning of the meal. It was a lovely almosphere though, and the food was mostly tasty. Neither one of us drink wine, though, and I think it's a bit of a rip off that wine is part of the price. I don't know that I would go back for the Monday night vegan faire, but I enjoy the Friday vegan buffet several times a year and highly recommend that. Still a problem that wine is included in the price, but it's a buffet, so you can choose what you want (some very yummy dishes) and there is no waiting or confusion about what is GF.
My sister and I have been for lunch on her open day several times. They have a great lunch buffet and it's fun to spoil ourselves every so often. Two things - if you don't drink, there's no substitution for the glass of wine. Second, on this trip, our server was terrible. We still left a tip but didn't feel great about it. Also, this hasn't been our experience in the past. It wasn't as crowded and that's actually good because the food is pretty bunched and then moving around people and tables can be difficult (from the past). It's worth it to make a reservation because sometimes they're too busy for walk-ins.
Main course and appetizers were very average. Service was good. Bananas Foster was excellent.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner- nice and quiet with fantastic food.
We had a wonderful time here. We have eaten here a number of times and the food is always wonderful. Bananas Flambe is our first choice for a birthday dinner. The salmon was wonderful and preparing the meals gluten-free was no problem.
I have sent several friends and they have liked the food. But several commented that they were offered red wine, but wanted white wine and were refused the option. I think the policy should be updated to include a complimentary glass of wine: red or white. Patrons are quite put off by being told "no", and it puts the staff in a tight spot.

Went for Sunday Brunch on New Year's Eve morning. They sat us right at 10am and all the food stations and staff were ready. Bottomless mimosas are a big selling point. Our first server could have been more attentive in the beginning with this, but the ending servers made up for it in the end. The food was great and the staff was knowledgeable about ingredients and allergy concerns. Great place to eat brunch with friends. We will definitely be back again!

We had a lovely breakfast at Jill's. The menu had some unique items and all the food was delicious. The holiday decorations in the restaurant and hotel were beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful too.
My wife and I reserved Jill’s for our fifth anniversary and we were not disappointed. The wine list was ample, the menu diverse and interesting. Our service (Martha) was superior; she not only invested time regarding menu choices and options but took a keen interest in our food and wine requests. Her knowledge of pairing was solid and recommendations spot on. We will go back (and soon). We totally enjoyed the food and the experience.

Jill's Sunday Brunch never disappoints and yesterday's was no exception! My only regret was that we did not leave enough time to linger and really enjoy all the offerings. This has to be the best brunch that I have ever come across in my travels.
Very disappointed Jill's no longer has the Thanksgiving dinner buffet. The prix fixe, 5-course meal and very pregnant pauses between courses were NOT worth $75 per person. Quality should have been great, and at the very least, the entrees should have been hot. Won't be back for prix fixe but may come back for the Thanksgiving lunch buffet.
Fantastic Sunday Brunch with King Crab and many other entrees. The bloody marys and mimosas are fantastic. Our favorite place for brunch.

Jill's used to be "fine dining," but they have made a dramatic change to enter the overcrowded Boulder bistro scene. In my opinion, this was a profound mistake and a great loss for the Boulder dining universe. Instead of quiet elegance, the restaurant now has raucous music and a plain setting without the tablecloths and crystal of old. The menu also has been "dumbed down" and no longer is centered around fine cuisine.
I no longer will frequent this restaurant. There are other bistros in Boulder that are as good as the current Jill's at a much more reasonable price.

The food was good, but it always feels like they are struggling for professional wait staff. More like college kids making extra money that don't really understand how to do the job. Nice place, a bit noisy when crowded but the food was good.
We celebrated our birthdays and anniversary at Jill's and were not disappointed. Service was beyond our expectations from the moment we CALLED. Enzo was our server and every person on staff was professional, courteous, and warm. The menu leaves you knowing you have to come back because everything looks good! The wine selection is very good with a nice range of price options. We will definitely be returning to Jill's.
We visited Jill’s for First Bite Boulder. The food was delicious, choices adequate, and portions good for the fixed price event. Our main dissatisfaction was with the overly attentive waitstaff. They visited our table, asking if everyone was ok, with a frequency that was intrusive. Checking in is great but this became an irritant to the point where it discourages me to return to this restaurant.
My husband and I went to Jill's to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. They started us out with complimentary champagne and treated us like royalty! The food was excellent and met our vegetarian and gluten-free preferences. It was a very special evening.
Superb in every way, and vegan-friendly.
We had a spectacular meal while sticking to the vegan and vegetarian options. The walnut salad was one of the best salads ever. The entrees were delicious and inventive, as well as plentiful. Cauliflower risotto, pasta with garlic and tomatoes, coconut curry with tofu were all wonderful. The service was noteworthy for being gracious and attentive, never a false note. All in an elegant, beautiful and spacious setting.
What a pleasant surprise and total treat our evening here was! It was an all-vegan menu night, and the food was varied, tasty and beautifully presented. I questioned the vegan butter, and the server brought out the container to show me the ingredients.
We were offered a glass of complimentary wine with our pre-fixe menu, and the staff was gracious.
I already have plans to go back for Sunday brunch!
