I love the vegan buffet at Jill's! One suggestion I have is to label all gluten free options for those with Celiac, so that there's no mixed information.
Outstanding food and service! We will definitely come back.
Great happy hour menu. Delicious food!
All in all a great experience. Staff is very disengaged, but appropriate for you to enjoy your dining experience with others. Vegan tasting menu was great! I want to try their vegan buffet on Fridays. Ooo La La!
The brunch main course offerings and the type of Eggs Benedict change from week to week, so you're never bored! This time, the traditional Eggs Benedict were truffled, so they were absolutely superb. The prime rib roast was absolutely exquisite, with an amazing crust on it.
The chevré cheesecake required a second slice!
The food was mediocre. It was nice that the crab legs were split in half but they were cold and some were still frozen. The variety was limited especially with non breakfast food. The prime rib was tasty but nothing else stood out. I definitely won't be going back.
My friend and I lunch at Jill's once a month. We always have the buffet with a glass of wine. The menu varies over the season and the creativity and quality of the offerings are wonderful. We will keep coming and sending friends!
Amazing in almost every way. Food was perfect. Only shots against it are that the restaurant and lobby haven’t been updated in over 10 years.
We were dropping our kids at CU Boulder and this was our final family dinner. I let the waiter know that we had to be done by 7:00 and our food did not show till 7:15 pm. It came out separate not together and the temperature of everyone’s dish appeared to be cold. I had the New York steak and requested it prepared medium rare. The steak was so over cooked they asked to prepare another; however, we had already waited for over an hour for our entries.
We ordered a bottle of Caymus and the waiter filled our glasses like it was drinking water. He poured near a full bottle in 3 glasses. What a joke!!! No training no style.
We will never return and we will tell everyone we know that the St. Julian is beautiful but avoid Jill’s at all cost.
We had the Monday vegan dinner which was amazing.
It was a lovely dinner, but the service was very slow throughout.
The Friday vegan lunch buffett is outstanding! We are not vegan or even vegetarian, but the salads, soups, pizzas, entrees, and desserts are very inventive and delicious. And at $18 including a glass of wine, it can't be beat. It is a nice change of pace.
Always a great Boulder destination for lunch with visiting colleagues.
We had a very nice dinner. The food was excellent. I had the salmon and it was great. The pesto sauce was a little salty but I figured pesto usually is and I was glad it was on the side. Desserts were awesome. overall it was a wonderful experience.
Amazing & delicious! High quality champagne. Omelette’s fresh & yummy add-ins. The food is always excellent. Our daughter had her wedding reception @ The hotel 7 years ago. Primo service , assistance, amazing food and perfect ambiance. Elegant & Boulder chic!
Our waitress Chelsea was fantastic. The food was so good, I ordered the cheese fondue and my husband ordered the pasta with sausage and mushrooms....both so good.
I have depended on Jill's for a reliable business meeting venue for years. There used to be consistently good food and professional service. Yesterday's service was terrible. I was hosting a meeting and our waiter actually asked us "Do you want anything or are you just hanging out?" We had to ask for iced tea and water refills. Also, the music was much louder than I have experienced in the past and it was hard to hear the conversation. The restaurant was empty...looks like Jill's has lost its touch and I am very disappointed. I will not risk bringing a business lunch there again.
Truly beautiful on every level
Food was good but service was poor. Restaurant was Empty on a Saturday night.
The Friday vegan buffet is unique and has a wide variety of selections which are different from Friday to Friday. This past Friday they had a cream of mushroom and leek soup that was fabulous. I haven’t had that soup before. The salads were very good as were the hot entrées and many desserts.
We went on a Friday, and although none of us are vegans, the vegan buffet was outstanding. Our designated driver ordered iced tea, which seemed to create a memory problem for the server, as the dd had to keep asking for the initial glass and refills, but the server had no problem checking on the wine for the rest of the table.
We were celebrating my husbands birthday with some relatives. We have been to Jill's many times when we come an visit Boulder from Los Angeles. The ambiance is beautiful and have always had a great meal. This particular night, no fault of Jill's, they were having a big party and the restaurant was very noisy and we could hardly hear ourselves talk. But once they left if was much better. Three of us had the Bouillabaisse which was very good, would like to have a little more sauce on it, I like it a little soupy. My husband had the Steak Diane which was presented beautifully and was delish!
We have been to Brunch at Jill’s many times with friends. This time was disappointing for all of us. The food was great but the service was lacking. Our server only checked back with us once. If we needed anything we had to go and find someone. The management staff wandered through several times but never looked our way or asked us how everything was. The worst part was our server brought our bill half way through our seating. We like Jill’s and hope they get better help.
Service was terrible. My chicken was over cooked and dry. I would not recommend this restaurant - overpriced, on food and rookie service.
We had a reservation, as always, (we come every month for several years) and we were upset when while we were waiting to be seated another party of 6 was seated. I did mention to the waitress I felt slighted and the manager did come and apologize. This was greatly appreciated!
Always wanted to try this restaurant. The food did not disappoint. Everything we had was great, from escargot and shrimp apps, to salmon, New York strip and lobster ravioli were all on point. How ever the down side was the ambiance which was nothing special, granted it was not busy at all. The service was some of the worst we have had. Our server had two tables a food runner and busser, yet we had to ask to order ask for bread more water. She was very disingenuous, that might have been because they were slow, but the service was not on par.
In saying all this the food will probably bring us back and we hope for better service.
Most amazing vegan dining experience I have ever had!
The Vegan special was outstanding.
The service was extraordinary and staff went out of their way to help make our dining experience so wonderful.
I was pleasantly surprised to see the tab as reasonable and fair, given the restaurant’s upscale venue and menu.
It was great!
A great overall experience. Good food, good service in a lovely space. Nothing wrong here.
Excellent restuarant. Visually very interesting. Food was well prepared and tasty. Plenty of vegan options. Service was friendly and efficient. Had a great evening
I made a reservation to have dinner after massages at the St. Julien Hotel. It happened to be Happy Hour. The food was outstanding and the price was reasonable. I highly recommend Jill’s.
Good food. Good service. Lovely dining room. What more could you ask for?
It was disjointed. We had our server introduce himself, and then later without and explanation, someone else started waiting on us.
Our entree was warm, certainly not hot, when it was served.
We were swatting at gnats throughout dinner.
Sunday brunch was fantastic!
The food and service were outstanding. We were there on a Tuesday. From the soup - vegetables in clear broth perfectly seasoned, salads,to several hot entrées one of which was mahi-mahi and it was delicious and fresh to delectable desserts, we were very happy dining in this beautiful restaurant with large windows overlooking the outside. This is a restaurant to go to every week.
When you want the nicest atmosphere, head over to Jills. Food and service are great, too
So appreciative that delicious vegan food is available. Everything was delicious. Just one suggestion - drinking ice water with meals is considered unhealthy by some. May I suggest asking people if they want some water?
