Jill's in the St Julien Hotel
Restaurant & Bistro offers a thoughtful menu featuring fresh, local and dynamic ingredients. The kitchen, helmed by
Interim Culinary Director Rich Byers sources its ingredients through partnerships with local farms, creameries and ranches, its own on-site garden and Boulder’s seasonal Farmer’s Market – conveniently located across the street – where the chefs procure the freshest herbs, vegetables and fruits. These ingredients are used to create scratch-made food, including pasta, bread, pastries, sauces, jus and more.

The patio setting is heaven. Like all places right now they are a little short staffed to help you to your seat or make the seating fit your group. The waiter was wonderful.
We were the first customers in for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Overall, the food was good, but the service was really poor. It started out good when the server quickly came to try and take our order. We hadn't even read the menu at that point, but she returned twice more quickly. It felt rushed already. Then, the manager (?) dropped off our order so fast we didn't get a chance to ask for butter or other condiments. Meanwhile, the server went back and forth across the restaurant never once stopping to ask how our order was prepared or if we needed any additional items (we did). I finally got up, put on the mask, and began a hunt for her and let her know we needed help. This was about a 7-8 minute delay, during which the food was getting cold. After finally getting our requested items, the busboy rushed over grabbing my plate and caused the silverware to fall onto my food. I tried to ask him to bring some new food items, which he clamed to understand. But, it didn't really seem like it to me, so I asked him to get our server. Of course, when she finally returned another 5 minutes later, she knew nothing about my conversation with the busboy. It was just a really disappointing breakfast.
Wonderful food and service. Highly recommended.
Restaurant was empty on a weekday for lunch. Made a reservation and sat inside. I didn’t realize that there is a beautiful outside space that is first come first serve. The outside is so much nicer I wish I did that. We barely saw our waitress yet we were the only table inside. Salad came out with the entrees so we had to eat salad with our main courses. The salad was good. The pizza was so bad. It was soggy and overloaded with cheese. It was the worst food I’ve had in a long time. Boulder has great restaurants and this one really stood out for being so below average.
We had a great time here on an anniversary dinner. Food was great and so was our server. We got seated in the sun as it was going down and apparently there was no way to mitigate that, so it ended up in my wife’s face for a while.
An amazing place to stay with incredible people running the hotel.
We have been to Jill’s several times in past (pre-Covid) years. This was actually our first foray to a restaurant in over a year. As indicated in my ratings, Jill’s delivered, as always. Good luck to all of you.
didn't realize the menu was so small for lunch, would have been nice to have more options. still super pretty and the food they did offer was delicious.
My wife’s birthday dinner with overnight stay at the Julian Hotel.
Food was very good but our romantic dinner for two was overwhelmed by two large tables of 10 celebrating their graduations. Although a happy occasion for sure the noise and drunken speeches did take the edge off our evening. Service was also slow which again I feel was connected to having to cater for these two large parties. The staff did recognize the problem but did not offer to relocate us, although they did comp us a free brownie dessert! Value for money? yes but just as mentioned great food but service was lacking on this occasion.
Excellentt food and service. A great place to have a quiet conversation.
I hate writing bad reviews. The service was very bad and they basically kept us waiting for hours. Staff up! Consider
Jill's was a great experience! I was on a date and it was the perfect amount of attention from our waiter JT, the food was good and the price was right on target!
Was a quiet Monday evening. Few diners but our waiter was a bit intrusive.
Other than that was a nice experience.
Commodious and romantic. Great place for a date. Brussels sprouts were sinfully good. Wonderful and professional.
Jill’s is a consistently excellent restaurant on every level!
It was perfect
Had to order in person food and drinks at the inside bar. Food and drinks delivered by excellent waiter to outside table.
We had a wonderful dinner there. Because of Covid it was very quiet but we had a nice corner table and a great server. Caesar salad was not over sauced like so many other restaurantsI. I had the Zatar Shrimp appetizer as my main course and it was a flavor bomb. St. Juliens is a great hotel so having a good restaurant attached is a bonus.
Our experience was bizarre and something I haven’t
WORST MEAL IN A WHILE, TOUGH STEAK, FROZEN TIRAMASU, FORGOT APPETIZER, NO GREETING AT DOOR, DID NOT GET A WAITER FOR 15 MIN AFTER SEATING, SHOULD HAVE WALKED OUT
Great experience and food.
We had a very enjoyable Valentines Day dinner. The Prix Fixe menu was great. JT was a fine server. Table spacing made us feel very comfortable. We have enjoyed dining at Jill’s for many years and will continue to come back.
The burger was amazing! Such a nice place to have lunch.
While staying at the St Julien, my partner and I stopped in to Jill’s to scan their menu to determine if we wanted to dine with them. They offered a prefixed menu including wine pairing and great looking items not found on their normal dining menu so we reserved a spot.
One arrived, With menu in front of us, we asked for the prefixed menu to which the waiter responded that was only for take out (no mention anywhere on the menu). Since it was only the prefixed menu that enticed us we asked for an exception and was told the chef would not accommodate. I suppose we could have asked for it to go but that seemed silly to take a three course meal and wine pairings to the room.
We left and found a fantastic restaurant down the street. Can’t comment on Jill’s food since we did not try any. But, service definitely not so great.
A very lovely and elegant place to dine. The waitstaff was extremely pleasant and patient. The food was delicious. The kitchen was very accommodating in splitting our entrees between the two of us. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
Our waiter was OUTSTANDING. TJ was attentive without being pushy. He made recommendations that were encompassing and backed by "what the chef" said. He was conversational and informative about St. Julian and Jill's.
Furthermore, the Bartender/waitress/hostess Quinn was very nice and friendly.
We like supporting the hospitality industry, Especially, in these times.
They were a Credit to the hotel and to their craft.
Dinner was perfect and our waiter, JT, made it even better.
Jill's is wonderful.
Across the street is La Corrida. Superb!
Sadly this place is really staffed down and has correspondingly fewer diners. I think it is really just staying open for the hotel.
Great vegan options, server went out of his way to accommodate our requests.
Perfect start to our vacation! We were so pleased to start our stay at the St. Julian with our meal at Jill's. Our server - JT - was the best - steered us to dishes that were off the charts. Monday night has a Vegan tasting menu - do not overlook even if you are not Vegan! My meat loving husband loved each of the 4 courses - and I loved all of them as well - husband had the lamb chops over a dish of couscous - perfectly cooked and seasoned. This is an excellent restaurant and must be tried - you will be back!
My Husband just passed the bar and they did a dessert plate that said, “Congratulations You Passed the Bar Exam!” Everyone there made it a perfect special surprise and he was so happy! We highly recommend!
Thank you, Max for the wonderful evening. Amazing food, drinks and a beautiful setting.
we went for lunch and it was delicious. can't wait to go back for dinner
Lovely view of the flatirons from their extensive outdoor seating. Nice to have a special occasion venue in these times.
The service was excellent. This was a special occasion and the wait staff went the extra mile for us
I love going to Jill's at the St. Julienne. It's always such a treat and that night was no exception. Delicious food, excellent service, wonderful atmosphere.
The food was fantastic, everything from appetizer to dessert was top notch. Staff is super nice and helpful. A great place for a relaxed and upscale dining experience.
Bryan and staff were great! Food was good and the cocktails tasty.
