Jia - Beau Rivage Ratings and Reviews
Our dining experience was fabulous. Our drinks were cold and plentiful. The food was tasty, well prepared and in ample supply. The service was outstanding. My boss declared the meal and fellowship were the hit of his weekend trip. We will be back. Our only problem was with the “Open Table” reservation site. It did not clearly state there were two dining options. Traditional and teppanyaki. We wanted teppanyaki but were assigned traditional instead. The staff at JIA easily accommodated us with very little wait. Thanks JIA. See you soon.
Jia is one of the best Asian restaurants I have had the pleasure to dine. We had a table with three of us and the ginger salad, sushi, calamari, egg drop soup and Kung Pao Chicken was wonderful. The service is always outstanding and we were all made to feel special and valued as a customer.
Jia is a wonderful restaurant with great service and food. I usually alternate the food I choose each night I dine at Jia - sushi one night and another entree the next night (which is the Kung Pao Lobster). Sometimes I substitute chicken for the lobster in the Kung Pao sauce, and it is an excellent meal as well at a reduced price. The service is always excellent and I am always treated as a valuable customer. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent food at a fair price. Nice atmosphere. I recommend hibachi dining, and the filet and shrimp entrée. Scallops are also wonderful. As long as you don't mind communal type dining, it is a wonderful dining experience. Great service and high quality food.
Jia roll was most disappointing, tempura was way overdone, dry and crunchy.
Summer rolls were outstanding.
Ginger Lobster was the worst disappointment. Can’t shell a Lobster shell covered in slimy sauce with a pair of nut crackers. If you could get into it, it tasted fine. Getting into it was a huge problem.
Service was fine. Food was mediocre at best.
Enjoyed. We had a company dinner previously at Jia where we dined at the cooking station. This was very fun and I thought the food was better than what we ordered from the menu. The portions were also bigger.
My husband was surprised at the small portion of the Orange Chicken Entree. Not a lot of food for a hungry guy.
Sat at sushi bar ... atmosphere was good ... sushi menu had changed from last visit. Although, all were basically the same - with the exceptional price and quality.
They used to have actual crawfish tails in spicy crawfish roll - not a mixture mush like making tuna fish .. disappointing
Jia is a very welcoming restaurant with a very knowledgeable and courteous staff. The menu is quite extensive with selections from small plates or full entrees. The separate sushi menu is also very extensive and has many chef inspired creations which are extremely good. The kitchen will also create dishes of your choice if possible. I have eaten at the restaurant many times and have always had a great 5-Star meal.
I have eaten at Jia several times and my experience is always exceptional. The service is friendly and professional, and the food is very well prepared and very tasty. I have eaten from different sections of the menu and have found every dish exciting in presentation and very good to eat. I especially like the soups and the sushi.
Jia did not disappoint our party of four. Our chef prepared our meals in front of us with delicious, fresh ingredients. His authentic and enthusiastic attitude put us in an anticipatory mood. We enjoyed the comraderie with our other table mates as we dined. I really appreciated the way our chef listened and isolated my lobster and kept it far away from the scallops, to which I'm allergic. Our server refilled our water and wine as needed and removed our empty plates. It's not made clear if the chef (who disappears after cooking) receives his portion of the gratuity. We dine at Jia when at the Beau.
The sushi was not up to par with the prices. The rolls were very tiny with much more rice than fish. The calamari and cucumber salad were good but I would not recommend the sushi to anyone because the prices do not match the quality. Also, I was able to smell smoke from the casino throughout the whole restaurant and could not enjoy my meal.
My wife and I ate here on a date night. The place is beautiful. They have an entryway and enclosed fountain which really gets your attention right away. We were seated quickly by the host who noticed our table was a bit wobbly and got down and fixed it for us by turning some knoblike feet; which was nice of him.
After ordering, our server brought a chef special prepared bite which was shrimp with broccoli and was very savory.
We ordered some fried pork dumplings for an appetizer. These were delicious and you could tell they were homemade.
The appetizer was followed up with a cup of salad with a very pleasant ginger dressing. The ginger was not overpowering; it was light and creamy.
We then got a specialty sushi roll called the bubblegum role which was of high-quality.
For our entrée, we got filet tips which were in a light teriyaki or soy based sauce with onions and broccoli. The steak was cooked to our liking and the veggies were nice over the fried rice provided.
All in all, the service and atmosphere were definitely five stars. The only negative I can think of was the price of the filet tips on the entree. I thought $36 was a little hefty for a handful of beef that could have easily beef substituted for a lesser beef without sacrificing taste.
This is a excellent place to eat at while in the Beau. This is the second time we rited this place and were placed both times. I would highly suggest sharing a Pu-Pu Platter for an appetizer and any of their Wok dishes. Their service is top notch. You will not be disappointed.
The staff were all very professional and helpful in navigating the menu while also being knowledgeable of the cuisine. Beer prices were a little bit ridiculous but nice things have nice price tags. Overall I was very impressed and am looking forward to eating there again.
We were there New Years Eve therefore very busy. Service was great and did not have to wait very long. The food was good. My only comment is for what I thought was a prime cut ribeye it was a little tough. I did not mention to waiter because for a busy night I was overall pleased.
