Jeffrey Adams on Fourth Ratings and Reviews
The server offered to bring my partner water with his wine, but didn’t bring it. Our drinks were empty most of the time. The sea food risotto wasn’t very appetizing. I forced myself to eat what I could of it and didn’t care to take the residuals home with me. Probably won’t go there again.
My spouse and I went for Valentine's Day (our first time there). The server was very attentive (but not overbearing); best service I have had in a while. The restaurant was busy, but we got our cocktails and food in a reasonable amount of time; given that it was Valentine's Day, I was surprised at how quickly we received what we ordered and how good quality they were. I got the steak. It was excellent. Spouse got the tuna; she loved it. Portion sizes on both meals were great. Drinks were a little stronger than I care for (I am a light weight), but if that is your thing you will probably enjoy it a lot. It is not somewhere I would want to go once a month, but it is great for a place to frequent a few times a year and for special occasions.
We always enjoy dining here. the food is good, staff is great, the location is perfect. The prices match the area. reservations are suggested. They get very busy. The bar tenders make great drinks. If you can get a window seat, the view of the city and people watching is very cool.
This was the first time my husband and I had eaten here. The hostess was very friendly. Our seats were awesome on the second floor by the window. Our waitress was one of the best that we had ever had. She was helpful and very conscious of all our needs. Our food was outstanding. I had the filet and my husband had the salmon. Also, the homemade blueberry cheesecake was a great ending. We will definately be back. And would highly recommend it to others.
Our server was very inattentive and never came to check on us. While my 14 oz ribeye tasted good and was cooked right, probably 10 oz was fat and only 4 oz was edible meat, and that is not an exaggeration. I had to exhaustively cut around the fat, which I could barely see because it was so simply lit. At least the manager apologized for the poor experience, which was appreciated, and gave me a discount.
It was our first visit to Jeffrey Adams on Fourth, and the night was busy because of the Tuesday Eats event that we were unaware of. We had made reservations and were seated quickly. Our waitress was gracious as we perused the menu.
Our orders came hot and delicious in a timely fashion. We especially appreciated that the kitchen divided the salad we’d chosen to share because some restaurants won’t do that.
My husband had the pork tenderloin and enjoyed it immensely, along with his mashed sweet potatoes and roasted brussel sprouts. My pumpkin ravioli were tasty although they came with a bit too much of the heavy sauce for my taste.
We will definitely go to this restaurant again next time we’re in Winston-Salem.
I found it bothersome that we had a reservation for a set time yet had to wait at least 30 minutes for a table. I can understand 10-15, but i think 30 is unacceptable. Server was very nice, but service was slow and i think it was more the kitchen than the server. Three of us were dining, 2 meals were very good and one meal was just "ok" (that was also the most expensive one, so that was a bit disappointing). The decor is very cozy feeling, definitely has a nice ambiance.
We loved the location of the restaurant (walked to the theater after we ate) and the Land and Sea was out of this world. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was very upbeat and trendy, but pretty loud. And being we were there for a special occasion, that was a bit distracting. Still very enjoyable and we will definitely be going back!
Very poor quality food and small portions. We also were very clear that my husband is allergic to onions and all of his dishes came with onions. The one good thing is they did take off the cost of his entrée for the inconvenience but none of our meals were very good to be honest.
Nice atmosphere. For the price I thought my steak was a little too fatty, had to spit four pieces out that I could not chew. Also thought it was strange that I ordered topping for the steak and it came on the side. I think just too expensive for what was received so probably won't go back. Also boyfriend ordered an old fashioned and it came to the table with muddled fruit in the bottom, he was not a fan.
We went to Jeffrey Adams before seeing the Nutcracker at the Stevens Center. We couldn’t have asked for a better location! It was also very close to the public parking deck. The lunch menu was very reasonably priced and the food was good. I would recommend giving it a try.
We really enjoyed our dinner before attending the annual NCSA presentation of "The Nutcracker". The food and service was great. We also have had lunch there several times and have always been pleased with the food and service. Thanks for a great place to enjoy an evening or lunch with family and/or friends.
I had only eaten here once before, but the food and service was great. I was asked to choose a place for our office holiday get together and I immediately made reservations at Jeffery Adams.
Again they did not disappoint. The food and service was great. We did not have to wait long for our food and the waiter kept our drinks filled.
Will be eating here again soon and will recommend this place to others.
Jeffrey Adams is so so for dining. It looks like it has a nice bar, but the food left more to be desired. The artichoke and mushroom dip seemed lacking in both artichokes and mushrooms and seemed to have a seafood flavor. The salad that was supposed to include artichokes had two small ones. The order was not completely accurate. It did not have many gluten free options either. The service seemed slow for a fairly empty restaurant. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day.
Seemed like a popular spot to try while I was in town. The ahi tuna appetizer looked dry (was a little worried it wasn't fresh) and the seafood risotto was OK (the scallops were large and really good). The service was also a little odd and a little too frequent-- before we could take a bite of the appetizer we were being asked to order our dinner. The place looks like it would be fun for a happy hour.
