Have dined at Jeffery Adams several times and was pleased. This time was very different and disappointing. My prime rib was cold and my wife’s rib eye steak was very tough. The steak was poor quality meat. The best things that night were the salad, potato and the wine, which I brought. We won’t be going back there.
We have been making Jeffrey Adams our restaurant of choice after going to the movies at a/perture, probably a half-dozen times in the past four months, and it is consistently good, whether in the downstairs bar area, upstairs overlooking the street, or somewhere else.
Crystal was our server, again as it happens, and she is friendly, quick, and efficient.
Fabulous meal! The dessert was amazing too!
I’ve never had a better steak than I did here. All of the food was phenomenal. We wanted a quiet evening and that is exactly what we got. I’ve been here twice now and know for certain I will be going back. The drinks were great, service was wonderful, food was top notch. No complaints of any kind.
The server offered to bring my partner water with his wine, but didn’t bring it. Our drinks were empty most of the time. The sea food risotto wasn’t very appetizing. I forced myself to eat what I could of it and didn’t care to take the residuals home with me. Probably won’t go there again.
My spouse and I went for Valentine's Day (our first time there). The server was very attentive (but not overbearing); best service I have had in a while. The restaurant was busy, but we got our cocktails and food in a reasonable amount of time; given that it was Valentine's Day, I was surprised at how quickly we received what we ordered and how good quality they were. I got the steak. It was excellent. Spouse got the tuna; she loved it. Portion sizes on both meals were great. Drinks were a little stronger than I care for (I am a light weight), but if that is your thing you will probably enjoy it a lot. It is not somewhere I would want to go once a month, but it is great for a place to frequent a few times a year and for special occasions.
Fast service, varied and nice menu choices. Nicely plated tasty entrees.
I am new to Winston-Salem. Jeffrey-Adams was perfect for a casual evening business meeting/dinner. The place looks it might also be very nice for a "date" night with my wife, or a casual afterwork cocktail.
We always enjoy dining here. the food is good, staff is great, the location is perfect. The prices match the area. reservations are suggested. They get very busy. The bar tenders make great drinks. If you can get a window seat, the view of the city and people watching is very cool.
My family loves this restaurant. The drinks were great and the food was amazing. The prices are very fair and the kids menu was a great deal.
This was the first time my husband and I had eaten here. The hostess was very friendly. Our seats were awesome on the second floor by the window. Our waitress was one of the best that we had ever had. She was helpful and very conscious of all our needs. Our food was outstanding. I had the filet and my husband had the salmon. Also, the homemade blueberry cheesecake was a great ending. We will definately be back. And would highly recommend it to others.
Third time visiting, one dinner, one late night, and now lunch. Could not have been happier with the quality of food and service at all three occasions. Great value as well.
Our server was very inattentive and never came to check on us. While my 14 oz ribeye tasted good and was cooked right, probably 10 oz was fat and only 4 oz was edible meat, and that is not an exaggeration. I had to exhaustively cut around the fat, which I could barely see because it was so simply lit. At least the manager apologized for the poor experience, which was appreciated, and gave me a discount.
It was our first visit to Jeffrey Adams on Fourth, and the night was busy because of the Tuesday Eats event that we were unaware of. We had made reservations and were seated quickly. Our waitress was gracious as we perused the menu.
Our orders came hot and delicious in a timely fashion. We especially appreciated that the kitchen divided the salad we’d chosen to share because some restaurants won’t do that.
My husband had the pork tenderloin and enjoyed it immensely, along with his mashed sweet potatoes and roasted brussel sprouts. My pumpkin ravioli were tasty although they came with a bit too much of the heavy sauce for my taste.
We will definitely go to this restaurant again next time we’re in Winston-Salem.
I found it bothersome that we had a reservation for a set time yet had to wait at least 30 minutes for a table. I can understand 10-15, but i think 30 is unacceptable. Server was very nice, but service was slow and i think it was more the kitchen than the server. Three of us were dining, 2 meals were very good and one meal was just "ok" (that was also the most expensive one, so that was a bit disappointing). The decor is very cozy feeling, definitely has a nice ambiance.
