Jeffrey Adams on Fourth
Food was great and the service even better. Ask for Madison, she’s amazing.
Amazing! Best appetizer ever... Pot Roast Nachos! So delicious.
AWESOME AS ALWAYS!!! My favorite food and ambience.
This was our first time here and we will definitely be back! The staff made my birthday dinner experience amazing, thank you all! The Seafood Risotto was amazing, best scallops I have ever tried. My mother had the Tuscan pasta which she said was fantastic, and both my dad and boyfriend had the Farmhouse burger. Both were a little over cooked but overall very enjoyable!
We have dined there several times previously and until now have had excellent experiences. This time it was different. Service was spotty and steak and duck entrees were either over cooked or under cooked. A big disappointment.
Food was delicious and awesome portions for price. Servers were very attentive and it was such a great experience. We will be back!
Our waiter was excellent. He listened well, understood our interests, made helpful recommendations.
Great food. One of best Pork Chops ever. Close to joys of downtown. Hotels. Had a really friendly and great waiter. Thanks
Outstanding service and food! Thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary dinner. They even surprised us with a special dessert to celebrate 😊
The artichoke and mushroom dip was excellent. As an appetizer, it was plenty for 4 to share. The beef tip risotto was very good, too, but the crab cake was mushy and seemed to have lots of filler. Very good service, but the music is louder than it needs to be.
The environment was awesome with great service and artwork. The salads were refreshing and martinis were exquisite. The red sangria was bitter which is a shame-I should not taste the full body wine-just a hint under the sweetness of the fruit & juice. Lovely views of my hometown and awesome space for a date, night out with friends or celebration. I encourage folks to dress to impress since the space invites an urban renewal appeal. I also love the displays of local artists with options to purchase. I purchased an awesome photo printed on tin for my office.
I was with a group of 4 and we all agreed the food was outstanding. The menu choices were varied and very good. The service was wondeerful and the price was reasonable for what we ordered. There were many good options on the menu. This has always been a favorite downtown restaurant. I have never been disappointed. The hostess was very accommodating to our request for first floor booth seating.
Went here a few months ago and it was great so tried it again. Really excellent! Had the Land and Sea. 4oz filet had such a delicious grill smoke flavor and was perfect medium rare. The scallops were cooked to perfection and the lobster topping was just the right finishing touch. Traded in mashed potatoes for brussel sprouts and was not disappointed. Enjoyed the Effen Delicious martini, which genuinely lived up to its name. Will be back!!
It's really just a standard meal. Nothing spesh. Server didnt know how to open a twist off bottle of wine. Food was a little cool but tasted ok. Any other restaurant close by would have been cheaper but same quality. I wont go back.
Tomato Stack was spot on!
My friends and I had a great time here for dinner, the food was really good and the place is clean and enjoyable.
Great service, the staff is excellent a very friendly. The food is really good.
Restaurant was very nice although we were seated in a bad location. Service was wonderful. Food was OK. My steak was cooked properly but tasted a bit "processed". My daughter's salmon was tasteless. Vegetables were also bland. All in all not bad, but not noteworthy.
Was a little disappointed with dinner. They forgot our salad and we waited over half an hour for food. Food was good, not great—wished we had eaten at our hotel.
Overall the restaurant was really nice and the food was awesome from the appetizer to the main course. Once the food was ordered it did not take long to recieve it. My only complaint was with the server. Just a tad bit slow, but overall a great place worth the wait for the food!
Got the steak and seafood combo. Steak was freshly cooked but seafood and veggies were cold. It was so busy that night the cook prep timing was off. Flavor was ok. Waitress was great.
Very disappointed with the level of service and food. My son and I were greeted at the hostess stand by a group of hosts and when we said our last name for the reservation, we overheard the host giving distinct directions to seat us at a certain # table but direct us to another # if we didn’t like it! Why do that? It makes us feel like we are second rate or only deserve the back of the bus seats! But, I ignored the insinuation, and when we got to the table, we didn’t notice anything wrong with it, but later found out it was the wait staff’s ticket print out station and got to hear lots of complaints about their customers during our dining experience. My son also ordered a filet mignon medium rare, but it was sent out twice steaming hot and brown like it was microwaved and with no pink, warm center. They did comp his meal, but not mine, which also ruined the expectations I had hoped to have at a restaurant that claimed to deliver top level experiences. Lots of missed opportunities by staff and kitchen. No wonder tables were not filled at prime dining time. Maybe a focus group marketing team would help with staff training and identify the inconsistencies in the level of service the restaurant owner/management wishes to portray and what actually happens in diner’s experiences.
It was an amazing meal. Really enjoyed it.
Consistently good food, very competent wait staff. Food came out in a timely fashion, and was very tasty. I haven't been disappointed on any visit to JA
Well, where should we begin: it was a birthday celebration so we wanted it to be special!
The item my wife ordered came with the wrong potatoes, the waitress insisted that this was correct....we told her to look at the menu. My order (duct breast) what little there was, amounted to small pieces grizzled meat that could not even be cut, the sweet potato fries were cold and must have been left over from lunch. They couldn’t get the wine orders correct and kept trying to give the excuse that the kitchen was very busy and they’re short handed!!!
At this point we walked out.
There are many other restaurants in the area to choose from and quite frankly have better prices.
Obviously we will never return to this place
Great food and happy hour prices. Bartenders were very personable and attentive.
It was my first time here. I had heard great things about it. Well I can spread the word too. Everything was excellent.
Great little corner place. Perfect for a date night or special occasion without being too fussy. Food was outstanding 👌 Only knocked the rating down a star because our server seemed disinterested. Never mentioned specials or refilled drinks.
What a nice spot to get dinner! My daughter and I had dinner here the other night. I had an exceptional salad with fried goat cheese and berries. It was surprisingly satisfying! Although I can't remember what my daughter ordered, I do remember how much she enjoyed her meal. We sat upstairs by a window and got to watch the happenings going on down on 4th St. Our server, Avery, was knowledgeable and very helpful.
Caught dinner just before a show across the street. Food was great, loved the Farm burger with goat cheese. Sheena, our server, was great and mindful of our time. Good wine list.
Nice menu with interesting flavors well presented. Wait service was superb - Avery
We’ll definitely be back👍
We went after church and had a delicious meal!! We will definitely go back.
We eat at Jeffrey Adams on Fourth quite often and have always enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere. It is one of the best places to eat in downtown Winston Salem.
Way over rated! The hostess had an attitude, the waiters were friendly but rushed us, picking up plates before everyone was finished, the food was over cooked, too salty and uninspiring.
The website makes this place look like it would be a very special, upscale fine dining experience. It is a bar with bar food.
Nice wine selection. PAMA Sangria was more like a cocktail but still a tasty choice! Crab cake sandwich was a bit on the salty side and largely mustard based, not bad but not great. Apple crisp dessert on point though.
Food was good as always. However, my friends mac and cheese was very dry. It appeared to have been sitting in a warmer for a while. Otherwise, food was great. Steak was cooked correctly.
Pedestrian. Food was underwhelming and prepared poorly, the ambiance is one of a restaurant that does not exactly know what it wants to be. Service was attentive but unenthusiastic.
Thankfully, this was not my first visit to Jeffrey Adams so I knew the experience was not the norm for this downtown favorite.
Steak returned twice and not cooked to requested temperature , rolls undercooked and cold when served( fresh ones replaced) .
Wonderful service but not able to make up for kitchen lack of pulling it together.
Hopefully, this was just on off night.
If you havde not had the cheesecake at JA you are missing out.
