Jeffrey Adams on Fourth
Very nice atmosphere and great food. The strawberry sangria was delicious! Will definitely go back soon.
I give Jeffrey Adams an outstanding rating in spite of the very noisy crowd seated near us. The restaurant has minimal control over this, and we just happened to be there when a large group of young women was having some sort of celebration. We didn't complain, as we didn't want to put a damper on their fun, but it noisy enough that we couldn't conduct a normal conversation. That aside, everything was excellent. Everyone in our party of five gave high marks to their food, and the service was excellent. The 4 oz. filet, the perfect size for me, was perfectly cooked, very tender, and extremely delicious, and the asparagus was cooked perfectly. We've eaten here several times, and we haven't been disappointed yet. One minor complaint: the booth we sat in was very, very tight. We'll ask for a table next time.
Had a 6 pm reservation planning to get a light dinner before a 7:30 concert at the Stevens Center across the street. The restaurant was packed and we were told there were 6 reservations ahead of us. We stayed until 6:25 with no sign of getting a table. We went elsewhere for dinner and received a call at 6:41 pm saying our table was ready. Way too late!
A seasoned restaurant ought to know how to honor reservations.
We enjoyed our food. Service was slow though. Slow getting seated even with reservation.
Ambience was perfect. Artichoke and the crab dip was delicious. Cocktails were perfect. Service was spot on (thanks Marcus). The brownie dessert was the biggest disappointment: hard, bottom was burnt and we just had to walk away from it. Other than that little hiccup, everything else was spot on.
Excellent evening!! Do not miss the smoked Gouda Mac. It’s 1000% worth the calories!
Did an online reservation through OpenTable for 7p. Arrived at 6:55p. Checked in and was told we would have a table as soon as one was cleaned off. 30 minutes later, still standing and waiting. Others that came in after us were now being seated ahead of us. Had we not been talking with other guests and staff, it would have been a huge problem. Once seated, the manager waited on us. Offered us complimentary appetizers and drinks. However, when the bill arrived, we were charged for the appetizers. Had the food not been so delicious, and the courtesy of the staff not been so nice, I would have given the restaurant a lower score due to the wait initially and being charged for a supposedly complimentary appetizer. But those two factors played a huge role in the overall score. Surf and Turf and the Ribeye Steak were both awesome. I'll return the next time I'm in Winston-Salem to see if they've improved their seating time just to enjoy the food.
Great food, ambiance and service! We always make it a point to eat there when we’re in town.
Knowledgeable servers, food served at a great temperature, nice ambiance.
The 'go to' place downtown. Always a good experience.
Our server was fantastic! Keep our glasses full, brought food and drinks promptly, very friendly too. The restaurant is lovely and is downtown in a great location with a cool upstairs with view of downtown. All four of our meals were good, we just were a little disappointed with the portion sizes especially for the price points. Overall it’s nice though.
The staff was engaging and warm. The atmosphere was clean, twinkling, and welcoming on a cold autumn evening. The food arrived in a timely fashion, beautiful as art, and delicious. We were there from 5:30-7:00pm on a Tuesday and the restaurant felt both comforting and luxurious. I'm not sure how they pull that off but I will be returning. This is my new go-to location for out-of-town guests.
Outstanding! Our food was prepared and presented flawlessly. Oh did I mention it was absolutely delicious.
We had a great meal for my wife's birthday.Love the ambience, recommend without hesitation.
Great place for us to meet up with another family from out of town
Great food and reasonable prices. Loved the atmosphere and decor!
We sat upstairs, will ask for downstairs next time. Food was fabulous!
First time at Jeffery Adams even though we live in this area. We have heard good things about the quality of food for some time. It was excellent. The desserts were particularly superb...
We will be back!
Delicious meal, upstairs room with a window seat really nice. Very good service. Will be back for sure.
It was our first time & I would definitely recommend to people and will come back again. Great location!
Things were dirty - napkins, silverware, etc and we had to ask for replacements. Service was indifferent- everyone acted liked they were being bothered or going out of their way to help you.
Always a good meal after the Symphony!
The food was outstanding! I have eaten there a couple of times lately, and it has been consistently high in quality. The sauteed brussel sprouts are definitely worth a try! It is perfectly located next to the Stephen's Center, which can make for an enjoyable pre-concert lunch or post-concert dinner!
The food and service (Marcus) were absolute perfection!
The food and drinks were GREAT. Our server was a bit flat and not very friendly but took care of us. However I would recommend for the servers to shower before work as the body oder was a distraction.
Good food and something for everyone.
food was very good. Prices are right. I do to like sitting in the bar area. I prefer a booth in the front part of the restaurant.
Nice decir..staff needs to be more attentive. Food was well prepared
Excellent Food!! Seafood Risotto outstanding
Amazing service, Beth was very friendly and didn’t forget a single thing. The food was fantastic as well, but the service was what impressed me most.
This was our first visit to Jeffrey Adams and we enjoyed it very much. The decor/ambiance is very nice, the food was terrific and the service quite good.
This is one of our favorite Winston Salem eats. We(My wife, dad and me) always go here before hitting the Stevens center for a show. this night we had the pleasure of including my son and his Fantastic girl friend. we chowed on so many items. the steaks and sides are great, the seafood, surf and turf unmatched, the local greens to die for. we haven't even highlighted the wine which was superb. next, moving to desert we all die for the apple crisp which is so good all you can do is look down for the next spoonful. go here often and try anything. bet its good. the service was exceptional and he was aware of the entire meal and served it at the right pace so we had time to talk, enjoy the current serving, drink some wine, before hitting the next service. A++++
Service a little slow, but food was wonderful! Wonderful atmosphere and location!
Upon arrival we were greeted by young hostesses who really did not go out of their way to welcome us. With dinner reservations they offered to sit us at the bar when we asked for a quiet table. The server was also new and did her best. The food was surprisingly good but the ambiance not what we expected.
We were dressed I. A jacket and my date a nice dress. We were totally overdressed for this restaurant.
First time here, had a wonderful experience. will be back
The food was absolutely horrible. The filet was the only thing that was hot. The crab dip was warm at best. The seafood risotto was terrible. It was warm and the scallops were undercooked. The lobster was rubbery and scallops undercooked in the dish I ordered. Both of the meals were a complete let down. We requested an upstairs seating arrangement in our reservation request for 6:00 PM. The young lady at the entrance (blonde hair, wearing a white blouse with floral print) when I questioned the request, said it didn’t matter because the waiter we were assigned was next and his section was downstairs. She then sat 4 other tables he was assigned which made absolutely no sense. He was clearly overwhelmed and the table behind us was complaining about the food as well. Worst 80+ dollars spent on an anniversary meal than I can ever recall. We won’t be back to this establishment and that’s sad because we live in the downtown area and have frequented this restaurant.
The food was delicious as always and we had great service. We are never disappointed when we dine at Jeffrey Adams.
Jeffrey Adams is always an excellent dining experience!
Very accommodating with our gluten free requests! Thank you!!
