Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
You always hear about how fabulous the food is at Jeff Ruby’s and we were not disappointed. It was beyond superb. The atmosphere, though loud was still intimate in our booth. John and Patrick took care of us wonderfully, and they gave a great demonstration of what fine dining should look like. We had not been there before; however we will definitely return.
Sat at the bar for a predinner martini. Stephanie was great, and may have made the best either of us has ever had. After seated, Nate and company did a great job taking care of us. Food was great, ambiance great, food spot on! Thanks to everyone for a great night out!
My wife and I went to Jeff Rubys Steakhouse for an early Valentines Day dinner after the ballet at Music Hall last night. The ambiance was far from romantic and a bit overwhelming with chandeliers from the 1970s Vegas strip besides the velvet seat coverings on the booths. It was very noisy throughout the restaurant due to loud patrons at the bar. Also, the food was definitely not the best or at a 5 star quality as compared to Morton’s on Vine Street or Jags in West Chester. We ordered the New York King Strip steaks with steakhouse hash browns and a Freddie salad. The salad was very good but the hash browns were very bland (salt and pepper go a long way) and the steak was extremely salty on the outer seasoning with very little flavor inside the steak as if it had not been marinaded prior to serving it to us. My wife only finished 2 bites of the steak before having it packaged up prior to leaving the restaurant. We were very disappointed with the meal based on the reviews from various online sources and would not recommend Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse to any of our family or friends.
From the beginning, when our party of 6, with a reservation, was taken to a table for 4, everything was a little off. Service was good, but 2 of 6 steaks were not cooked as requested and one was heavily over salted. For an excellent Jeff Ruby dining experience I would recommend The Precinct, not Jeff Ruby's Steak House.
We had reservations, were seated earlier than our time which was great. My steak was cold, tasted like seafood. My husband's $77 Steak was supposed to be medium well came out completely raw on the inside, waiter had him cut it up all through out to make sure it was raw, they took the steak back and proceeded to char the same steak which came out well done, charred, cut up and dry. We were told the food would be the best we've ever had, it didn't come close to Jags in West Chester. Waiter was exceptional.
Filet & lobster tail were absolutely perfect! Service was exceptional! My bride was treated like a queen on her birthday, and was surprised w/ a wonderful piece of cheesecake. My FB profile photo is now the photo that our server, John, took of us in the restaurant. Thank you Jeff Ruby’s for an unforgettable evening!
I asked for a booth when the lady called me to confirm the reservation and she said that wouldn't be a problem. When we got there they seated us a regular 2 person table. I mentioned it to the staff and luckily there was a booth available which they let us have. Also this was our first date since having our second child. I mentioned the occasion when I made the dinner reservation on open table. In the past we've gotten some sort of free dessert for dining there for speical occasions but this time we didn't get anything which I was disappointed about.
Celebrating our 27 wedding anniversary, and was a great event.
After going to a Ruby Restaurant (mostly precinct) evening prior to our 9 children being born, we wanted to celebrate our marriage by again attending a Ruby restaurant (Jeff Ruby's downtown Cincinnati).
Our expectations were met, from the non-alcoholic champagne for my wife (waiting per reservation) to my wife's favorite Macaroni and Cheese (in the world). She had a bunch of appetizers and i had the Salmon with a Wagyi steak.
We had a great time, and will of course come back for future celebrations.
