Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse - Cincinnati
Need to book at 8:15 PM?Other great restaurants with availability.
It was great and Dustin the server was fantastic
So disappointing...not a typical Ruby’s experience. Food was like warm. Still good flavor but no idea why not hot. For the money you spend here, should be perfection!!!
Anniversary and Valentine’s Day 2/14
Absolute wonderful night with my wife celebrating Valentine’s Day! The staff, service, atmosphere and food were top notch!
It never disappoints, even on busy Valentine's day! I love this place!
I highly recommend the filet with red wine truffle sauce. All the sides and salads are amazing too! And the "sidecar named desire" was fabulous!
Fantastic. The service was great, great ambiance and the food was amazing. Thanks Jeff Ruby's for making our Valentine's Day special.
Carmen is the best manager I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. His attention to detail and tableside manner is impeccable.
Ruby’s never disappoints. We love all of the Jeff ruby restaurants.
Great food. We went to Les Miserables afterward, and we were cutting it close because of the rain and the new security measures at the Aronoff. We arrived on time... not sure what the solution is. Still a great place to dine!
Always a lovely treat to dine here. All the staff we encountered were wonderful! Food was delicious as usual and the Butter Pie was awesome, we devoured it!
Always enjoy Jeff Ruby's. I have said more than once to anyone who will listen that they serve the best steak in America. One member of our party was not satisfied with the original preparation of the meal and to their credit they immediately remedied it and compensated our bill accordingly. Class service, class handling.
Was a wonderful experience for my clients. The menu was extensive and the service exquisite.
Date night out for good food and some music.
Our server was awesome, and as always we both enjoyed our food!
Fantastic place for a special night out. The food is outstanding - among the best in Cincinnati - as is the service. It's REALLY pricey though and the portions are huge, so this is definitely more of a special occasion kind of place than anything else. The main dining room is also a little bit gaudy / over-the-top but the quiet dining room in the back, where we were, is lovely and a nice place for a special evening.
Everything was great except the man who cleared our table took all of our half eaten sides and fresh bread baskets and threw them out even though we asked for them to be packaged up. That was disappointing but everything else was great.
MY WIFE'S MEAT WAS A BIT OVERDONE
WE DID NOT TELL THE WAITER HOWEVER
Service was excellent. Food was outstanding. The only thing that I thought was somewhat distracting was the excess number of tables that were set up. There were tables in the entry way as well as what is normally the walkway by the bar. I understand you want to be able to accommodate as many people as possible but this seemed excessive. My family and I were not seated in these areas but I would have been a little upset if we had been. Otherwise it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend! We also received a complimentary dessert for my son who was celebrating his 18th birthday that night. Thank you for that!
Great evening with friends.
Why does one dine at Jeff Ruby’s? For the experience. One can get a good steak in other places. We dine at JR’s for that special evening that should be perfect. Starting with impeccable service, exceptional attention to detail, with great food and ambience - you have the experience you come to expect, look forward to and savor for special occasions. Two weeks in quick succession we have been disappointed. Two weeks back we came without a reservation to have a drink and see if we could get a spot at the bar. There we none, so we had our drinks standing and when a spot did open up there was a quick “reserved” sign placed. We were the only couple waiting, with not a word from the waiter saying sorry this was reserved before. Not even an acknowledgement that we were literally standing there with our second glass of wine just waiting for a seat!! Then this past Friday we were there with a reservation. The service was sub par, nowhere close what we have come to expect. We were served cold bread - not room temperature but cold, as in from a refrigerator! We had a perfunctory “hope everything is perfect,” without even waiting for a response, while we noted people seated in tables around us being served exquisitely by other waiters - removing bread plates and salad forks, brushing up crumbs, refilling water glasses, etc. We wondered if one now has to be a regular or be known to get the service we’d come to expect. Remembering an instance in the past when, having forgotten our reading glasses, the waiter almost instantly provided us with a pair, the service was prompt, attentive, professional and top notch, making for a truly enjoyable experience. That is the Jeff Ruby’s experience we missed. We don’t go to a Jeff Ruby establishment, pay $58 for a piece of steak on a plate and $9 for a potato, to get Ruby Tuesday service. I am sorry to say we were very disappointed and will seriously consider whether we dine, or drink, there again.
It is a five star restaurant, pricey but you get excellent quality food, atmosphere, and service!
Dillons service was Ruby at its best of course
Steaks cooked to perfection
Potatoes Anna crisp and creamy
The carrot cake to die for
Always exceeds the Ruby Experience
Always perfection here. Legit best steak on the planet 🌍
Great food and our Server John did a fantastic job!
Jeff Ruby never disappoints or fails to hurdle the high bar he has set in his decades of feeding Cincinnatians! I love to visit the Walnut Street bar and restaurant and always get a feeling there different than anywhere else - even his other restaurants. Good professional servers who know when to give business diners some time and distance. Always a great ambiance of energy, joy, and expectation. And the food! Best steaks (filet this time), best sides (creamed spinach and asparagus always), best salads (gotta be the Caesar or maybe the wedge), best salted rye in the basket in town - no, in Ohio - no, in the Midwest - no, in the country! (And this from a transplanted Californian who grew up in Chicago!) Great job, Jeff and Team. Keep up the great work and I’ll keep bringing in and converting out-of-Towners.
I had the petite Filet with the Collinsworth topping and a Freddy salad and the mashed potatoes!! Everything was perfect! Great service, beautiful atmosphere!!!❤️
Our server, Tony was awesome...really set the tone for an amazing experience for my wife's birthday. Food is expensive, but we anticipated that. That atmosphere and the taste are worth it. Got the 14 oz steak with the Mac n cheese, she got the burger. It was all heavenly. Had a slight mishap with the ticket, and Josh Treadway, who I assume is a manager, really took care of it swiftly after it was brought to attn. A young lady from the bar area helped out with that, too. She wasn't even connected to the situation but wanted us to leave with a positive experience! To top it off, the band sang happy birthday to my lady! ☺ What more could we ask for? We'll be back!
Celebrating Sons 21st birthday. This was the first time bringing the kids to such a fancy spot. They were tickled with the level of service and felt extra special that night. Just what I hoped!
Food was hit and miss. One steak was over cooked and returned. Finally got back to us when everyone else at the table had finished their meal. One person had salmon that was obviously frozen. It was a birthday dinner for our son and it was very disappointing. Definitely not worth the money we paid.
Jordan is the BEST server. I request him ALL the time.
The food and service is always outstanding
Tried the charred broccoli for the first time. Fab.
The new cocktail with espresso was very good. Jordan made sure it was not too sweet for me.
The ricotta donuts always light and spot on.
See you again 2/7!
Great food and service!
Too expensive for most my friends and family hnvdrgbk
It was a night for my wife’s birthday, as usual thank you for a great evening.
Awkward service. We were brought our appetizer before our menus/main order was taken. Our server told us our food would be out in 10 minutes, it came 30 minutes later. The food tasted good but it was an awkward experience.
First time dining at Jeff Ruby's- was excited to go for my 40th birthday. I was very disappointed at being seated at a cramped table for 2 by the noisy bar since I made the reservation over a month in advance. The food was perfect but was very disappointed in our waiter Alex. He did not ask us if we were celebrating anything special, what kind of water we would like, etc. when we first sat down and we could clearly hear him ask the tables around us when they were seated since they were right next to us.
This is one of my favorite restaurants for special occasions. The service is always impeccable and the food is always perfect. If you want an excellent dining experience, any of Jeff Ruby's restaurants are an amazing choice.
Excellent service, excellent food. Overall outstanding experience!
Overall experience was good. While waiting for our table to become available we sat at a table in the bar. It took 10 minutes for anyone to recognize us and take our order. It took another 10 minutes before we received our drinks. Immediately upon receiving our drinks the hostess came over and said we needed to settle up because our table was ready. Before we had having taken a sip of our drink but after waiting 20 minutes to receive it we were being rushed to finish it.
Service and food in the actual restaurant was excellent!
.Service was very good. Enjoyed the atmosphere very much. My wife's food was fantastic, as were the sides and desert. My steak (Burrow) was ok. Quite a bit of fat. Overall an enjoyable experience.
