Service was outstanding the halibut was wonderful I can’t wait to go back
This place never disappoints. Knowledgeable and accommodating staff. Weve always had great food and a great experience.
Five of us made a last-minute same-day reservation for a family birthday celebration. (We were lucky to get in on such short notice, but we could be flexible as to the time -- this restaurant is very popular.) We had a delightful meal with superb service. Jean-Robert's Table is a world-class restaurant serving food that deserves to be featured on national television, in a welcoming atmosphere that does not put on airs. Simply described -- a perfect evening.
J-R Table is our go to restaurant for celebrations. This time it was great dinner for me but a disappointment for my wife.
I had a delicious appetizer, but hers was overloaded with salt. My entree was excellent but her fish dish tasted iodiny - no bad but not tasty. She should have sent it back but she didn't want to make a scene. Maybe the kitchen was short staffed because our dinners took an overly long time to come.
Once again a stellar evening at the Table......we are old friends, and feel like family......a truly Cincinnati JR experience......see you soon!
The food and service are excellent. The restaurant is very tired and needs a complete redo. They say there is valet parking but there is not.
Fabulous as always… It’s our first choice for opera night and symphony mornings ❤️
We have been here before. Our reservation was right on time. Our server was very professional and explained all the specials clearly. My one comment is that the wine list is a bit pricy and I think they could do better with a couple of lower priced California or Washington wines.
As always, Mary Lou and Jim did an amazing job! Best spot in town!!
I think Jean-Robert’s has declined from its glory days a few years ago. It used to be a place I would take visitors, but now it is not. The combinations of ingredients in the entrees no longer works, as it seems they are chosen just for their novelty or trendiness, rather than for flavor. The price has certainly not declined, and I cannot say I received decent value.
We were happy with the Restaurant and the food. Only had one annoyance. We were asked if we wanted dessert. We received the dessert menu however after 20 mins we had to ask someone where our waiter was. we were told he was cleaning up glass. The waiter also was paying more attention to a larger table. By the time the waiter came over to take our dessert order we were so annoyed that we decided not to order.
Excellent service. Unique and tasty appetizer, bread, entree, and dessert. The server shared 5 minutes worth of off menu options for the day, which was really impressive. We had the creme brulee for dessert and it was incredible.
This was a fantastic dinner. We will definitely return.
Food was just ok this time. First three times I visited the food was outstanding (2015’ish). Last two or three times I was less impressed. I ordered omelette (salmon) and it came with an uninspired salad.
As always the food and service were fabulous. The 4 course selection was perfectly balanced and delicious. Would recommend for any and all special occasions.
Food was really good, service top notch. We like places where the servers are professionals, as they are here.
I’d recommend this place and we’ll be back.
Come for the food, and not the service.
We got served the wrong appetizer because apparently the waiter misheard our order and was pretty unapologetic about it. This was our first time dining in the restaurant, and there was a significant difference between the service we got at our table vs another one that seem to be a regular patron.
For the most part I'm willing to overlook the service issues in light of how good the food is, but for the price point I would have expected the service to be better.
Would definitely recommend the duck breast.
We had a wonderful meal with our friends. The food and service were excellent. We had mussels, lobster salad, fish and vegetarian dishes. It all tasted so good. The bread was delicious too! A very enjoyable evening.
Excellent service and cuisine. Highly recommend!
Another wonderful dining experience offering fantastic flavors and tastes !
I'd love to eat here every night, but we live out of town and can only make it 3 or 4 times a year. They are consistently the best 3 or 4 meals of the year!
One of the best in the city! I just recommended this restaurant to several people.
Great food great service great room. Cincinnati is lucky to have Jean Robert.
We miss him in New York
We got in but when we got there, the hostess said our reservation had been cancelled. I told her I had confirmed it on Open Table, and she said they sometimes have trouble with Open Table reservations.
The server was great with excellent recommendations for appetizers, entrees, and wine.
Incredibly rude server, totally incompetent bussing and ridiculously long wait times for each course. The food itself was okay.
If you're going to spend several hundred dollars on a meal, and expect some kind of fair value in return, steer clear of anything "Jean-Robert".
Impressive menu and great service; we enjoyed our experience
The luncheon strip steak, which I have often purchased in the past, was very tough this time. Not a satisfactory food experience.
The best location in the city for a business lunch. Service food iAnd ambiance supurb
We had the 4 course fixed price dinner & found it delicious & a good value. Everything was cooked perfectly & the sauce were fabulous- especially the morel sauce with the steak! The chocolate desserts that came with the prix fixe were also very well done.
I went in here to try the weeknight tasting menu special, four courses for $45. It was without a doubt the best $45 I've actually spent in the city, I've been eating out at a lot of really good places lately and I can say definitively that the table compares favorably to all of them, including dining at michelin-starred restaurants in New York. The bread had a great crusty chewiness, with a thin airy middle, the butter with salted perfectlly, and both of those things came in handy to absorb the rich flavors of the sauces from every course. The soup to begin with was fantastically balanced and full of large pieces of lobster, and perfect Al dente corn. Our second course, a skate roulade with Ratatouille and mushroom cream sauce was a fantastic combination of richness, semi-sweet fish, slightly softened or crunchy vegetables and the creaminess that embodies French cuisine. for an entree a 4oz serving of filet was about the perfect size, especially with a heavy demi glace overtop the crispy fingerling potatoes. Finish up with three perfect two bite desserts and you can recognize why this place is so highly regarded
Excellent as always from the greeting to the check. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. The food is prepared perfectly.
Jean Robert has created a restaurant that is second to none. The atmosphere is comfortable. The noise level is perfect. It was easy to have a conversation with the four people at our table. Our waitress has been with Jean Robert for many years. Her explanation of available specialties was easily understood and explained. The menue was vast enough to satisfy anybody's desires. The food preparation and presentation was spot on. Wine list was very complete. The wine and champagne we drank very very good. We go to Jean Robert's table for all special occasion
JR Table was its usual best. Great food great wine list and great service - it doesn’t get any better than this.
One of the best French meals we have eaten! Wonderful!
We always enjoy Jean-Robert's Table, but this night was truly exceptional. The lobster and peas appetizer was outstanding and the soft-shell crabs were magnificent. What a treasurer this place is!
We dined at Jean-Rober's Table to celebrate out 10 year wedding anniversary. Neither of us is an aficionado in French dining, which is to say neither of us have eaten French cuisine before. HOWEVER, we have eaten poor tasting, good, great, and exceptional food before. Jean-Robert's Table falls somewhere beyond exceptional. Like you all, I rely heavily upon reviews when scouting for new restaurant, and the ONE I read which only gave two stars must be a rival in the industry. The ambiance was superb, the wait staff was exceptionally kind and attentive, and the food?? Je ne sais pas. Fabulous!! The only comment I do have was that the specials for the day were extensively described by our waiter and there was quite a few (appetizers and entrees). It all seemed to run together and by the time he finished, we had both been a bit lost, not remembering any of them except the last one or two. I would suggest finding an easier method of purveying specials or limiting the specials to a maximum of two. That is the most critical I can be, which isn't really that big of a deal. We LOVED dining here and will most assuredly return. TRÈS BIEN!!!
Lunch at jean Robert's 2aa wonderful, as always.
Once again exceeded expectations. Server knew the wines and the foods, involved as they were. Sweetbreads, Salmon, 4 course meal, wine - all outstanding.
Best service and feed as usual! Big fan of this place. We had beef tartar, mussels, and the special that was a soft crab sandwich! Magnificent!
