We went to Table with friends for dinner for the first time Saturday night and had an absolutely wonderful time. The food was amazing and the service was a delight. Hunter did a fantastic job as our server and the rest of the staff was warmly attentive. Jean-Robert even stopped by our table and thanked us for coming. We look forward to going back in a few weeks!
Heat was turned off, very cold inside the restaurant, my wife was freezing.
We had a wonderful dining experience...professional staff and outstanding food.
Every aspect was perfect! Had wonderful food, drink and service!
A wonderful 10 year anniversary celebration for the restaurant. We had the special Filipino/French 5 course dinner with accompanying wind selections.
Every course was thoughtfully presented by a great wait staff. Attentive and friendly, not overbearing.
Jean Robert visited tables, which is always a nice bow on the present. :)
We'll be back before the end of the year!!
We always enjoy our time at Jean Robert's table. Everything is great. The food, service, atmosphere, and the overall experience. We are looking forward to our next experience at this amazing place.
Magnificent menu and execution. Fantastic entrees and subtle blend of root veggies and starches that combine to provide an unmatched dining experience. Great wine options. Look for the special tasting menus.
Tried the Filipino-French 10-year anni tasting menu and found it to be extremely subpar. Perhaps if I had ordered off the regular menu, I would've found the food more appealing. I grew up eating all kinds of Asian cuisine including Filipino. Lumpia, adobo, the works. I even make my own halo-halo from time to time and usually keep ube or ube ripple ice cream in my freezer at home to enjoy. I also have eaten a mass amount of French food from casual to finer dining. Each course was lackluster unfortunately. The "lumpia" tasted more like a frozen spring roll and the sauces it came with made me believe they came straight from jars. The ravioli however was decent but nothing phenomenal. The second course was poached red snapper on top a small bed of rice noodles sautéed in either way too much soy sauce or too much salt in general, also the rice noodles didn't taste very fresh, had a dry feeling to them and were kind of nasty, to be honest. The snapper was cooked well and was probably my favorite part of the whole five courses, unfortunately the small portion left much to be desired. The hollandaise poured over was heavy and the portion way too big. The 3rd course was a quail confit and this is where I was very lost, duck and quail confit are probably up there in some of my favorites to eat and this again fell short of what I have had before. The 4th course was where I really put my fork down. The filet I expected like at most places where the chef chooses how everything is prepared, I expected it to be medium-rare or medium but it came it a little overcooked, well-done even. The napa-wrapped oxtail was okay, but a little too soggy. The beef-tongue was cooked well but nothing was really paired with it. My worst remark would be the disgrace of rice this "trio du beouf" was served with. Extremely cheap, dry, awful rice, practically inedible. Being Asian, I could only compare it to Uncle Ben's. I was expecting a lot from this restaurant being so highly rated. $240 loss.
One of our favorites
This is a lovely rather small and intimate property. We had a perfect round type booth perfect for conversation for 3. Meal was excellent. Service at a non-rush pace ( we said we were not in a hurry) and it was the last seating - the owners don’t push folks out and a number were at the bar until closing. Chef comes out to see all tables - at least late in the evening We’ve been here before and will return when we are in Cincy again.
Their special 5 course meal was spectacular!
We went to JR’s Table for our wedding anniversary and had his 10 year anniversary celebration 5 course meal. It was a fusion of French and Philippine cuisine. Excellent food and large portions.
Everything was absolutely wonderful. Just as it always is at Jean-Robert’s Table! I can’t wait till my next visit there!
20 th anniversary
Wonderful Food, wonderful service!
We enjoyed living in Brussels Belgium and enjoying the culinary capital of Europe for many years. How we have missed the food. Jean-Roberts Table is a godsend to our Great City! We look forward to returning soon.
Absolutely amazing meal! Each course was better than the next! And the service was even better!
We have been Jean Robert fans for years and Thursday night's experience did not disappoint. With help from our waiter, we found an excellent bottle of wine that went well with our dinner.
Food, wine and service were outstanding! Always a plus to have the chef greet you at the door and in the dining room! Thanks Jean Robert!
Great night out. Food was fabulous. Will be coming back soon.
A great way to spend our anniversary with a relaxed and quiet dinner of fine food and wine. Table Restaurant is one of our favorites for fine and relaxing ambiance.
This was one of the best food experiences I have ever had in Cincinnati. From the service to the meal and everything in between. I cannot believe it has taken us this many years to dine here. And I cannot wait to go back!
Spectacular! Every dish is a thoughtfully created symphony of flavors. I started with a appetizer of foie gras while my husband chose to begin with a trio of salmon. Both of us were delighted with what we ordered and loved the tastes we had of the other! Our main dishes were equally wonderful -mine of scallops and his pick of halibut. Each was accompanied by elements that made the seafood even more vivid. Anne was a perfect server. She was there anticipating anything we might want. Very special evening that doesn’t have to to saved only for special occasions.
Food was amazing. Service was incredible. My wife & I were so happy with the food. It it the best place in Cincinnati. Waiter was awesome with the recommendations.
A wonderful experience my wife and I enjoyed every minute of it so it was great service was better
Very enjoyable, would highly recommend.
Birthday/date - lovely dinner. Delicious steak and scallops. Got the heirloom tomato salad which was amazing and the duck confit which is always delicious.
Fantastic food and great service
I wanted a micheline type experience and they delivered. They say. " never order chicken " at a great restaurant.. anyone can cook chicken . Wow , my poulet was fantastic . Can't travel to France for great food... try this place!
What a great experience!!! The food was outstanding, from beginning appetizers to the dessert. The room we were in was quiet, great staff and a nice hello from the man himself. A great night!
Jean-Robert’s Table has been a favorite of ours since it opened. Great food, great service. Since the Pandemic the staff have done an outstanding job of making the dining experience as normal as possible
Always great food great staff ... special place all around!
This has been one of my favorite restaurants in Cincinnati for years. Jean-Robert has put together a wonderful mix of ambiance and menu for a relaxed yet sophisticated meal. His staff is well trained and take care of your experience without being overbearing. You can’t go wrong with any choice on this menu.
Superb food. Chef came to our table to create specific order for my wife. We’ll be back soon.
Always a treat to take my lovely wife to Jean Robert's Table on our date night. (too bad we had to bring our son on this date night...:)) We had some amazing appetizers, phenomenal entrees and fantastic service and every health safety measure is being taken.
Excellent food and service
Food is still on point. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. My only “negative” is the decor, it’s a bit dated, but if that keeps the prices down that’s ok. Bottom line, still one of the best high-end cuisine for fair prices in Cincinnati. It’s a great place to take someone who isn’t obsessed with the new, cool, shiny, thing. Food is wonderful. Top 5 in Cincy.
We had a fabulous meal tonight and a wonderful bottle of pinot noir recommended by our server. I had the hamburger and fries my wife had the cod and ratatouille. They were both delicious and cooked to perfection. Our server was attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu. They definitely put thought into the safety of their customers in the era of covid 19. All the staff wore masks and kept a safe distance. We had a great time thanks to Jean-Robert and his entire staff at The Table. We will be back soon.
We always enjoy dining at The Table. The food is delicious and the service is great too. They have a nice wine list and we can usually find something that goes well with our food. We have missed getting to dine there. So glad it's open again.
