Very good experience. Would visit again.
The food was by far the best part of the experience. May have been the best meal of our lives. The service was a very close second, as we were fortunate enough to have been served by Anne, who made us feel as though we had been coming in for years. The atmosphere at the restaurant felt like a large group of friends had gathered at a home for a dinner party. The entire staff helped facilitate that feeling.
Jean-Robert's Table is about as close to perfection as you can get, with its combination of quality food, superb wine list (you can't go wrong), atmosphere, and a knowledgeable and helpful staff. This is one of our favorite restaurants. On our most recent visit the filet (medium rare) was cooked to perfection with a delightful brandy cream sauce. My wife had a green salad as tender and sweet as possible, followed by the ravioli. We ordered a bottle of a St. Gregory California Pinot, which was ideal.
Cocktails were just OK. We were told by others that Dessert (chocolate Macadamia) was great, but we found it to be kind of cold and dry. BUT the entres (Duck Breast, Filet and Halibut)were worthy of reward. The appetizers were also some of best ever eaten. If not for the mediocre atmosphere and dessert, this would now be my all time favorite restaurant in Cincinnati. As it was, it is still in my top 3.
Delectable appetizers, scallop , duck liver and tartare.
We both had the halibut special and it was wonderful! Everything had wonderful French sauces, rich and yummy.
Only disappointment was the creme brûlée which appeared split. Everything else was so over the top good that it didn’t even matter.
Quiet and delicious start to the weekend. Now we don't want to go anywhere else!
I LOVE this restaurant! Great food! Great service!
Food, table service, and beverages were all superb. The hostess was not friendly at all, seeming to take a dislike to us the second we walked into the door. My Open Table reservation did not show on her computer, but it was on my phone, and she said grudgingly that she would seat us, which was very kind of her in a restaurant that was half empty! When she seated a couple at the table next to us, she offered to take their coats but had not offered to take mine. It was all very unpleasant, especially after a long afternoon with my new granddaughter in the NICU. We were not dressed or behaving any differently from anyone else there, and in 22 years in Cincinnati, I’ve never been treated so rudely in more formal or more casual restaurants. Just, well, odd. But again, the food was lovely, French classics with an individual stamp on them. Even the bread and butter were stellar.
We had a wonderful meal and celebration. I wish the 5 course menu and pairings were available on the weekend.
Our waiter, I think his name was Darren, was helpful and efficient. We ordered a 5 course lobster fest and were told it would take longer than other menu items. We were going to a show but decided to try it anyway. Darren and others were extremely efficient at bringing out the courses without a hint of hurriedness. It was a most delightful meal and we will be back again soon. Thanks to a great evening!
Incredible duck Mac and cheese, lobster salad and farro/sea bass meal. Can’t wait to go back.
the food was excellent, the presentation superb, the value and uniqueness of each item was exceptional. Ann provided service which was beyond reproach.
Really enjoy the ambience food was fantastic
Not much to say but everything was just perfect- from th time we walked in until the time we walked out.
Lovely place for a special evening. Delicious food and attentive service.
All dishes were so tasty and the service was impeccable.
The food was excellent--as it always is. Our server, Darren, recommended a great chardonnay that perfectly accompanied our meal. The service, the atmosphere, the food and the wine were all great. We'll definitely be back.
Outstanding dinner experience. Salmon was superb. Highly recommend!
I MADE A RESERVATION FOR 12/23 AT 7:45 FOR 4 PEOPLE. I RECEIVED MY CONFIRMATION AND EVER HAD A PHONE MESSAGE TELLING ME ABOUT LOBSTER 3 COURSE DINNER. WHEN I ARRIVED WITH MY OUT OF TOWN GUESTS THE RESTAURANT WAS CLOSED. I THINK IT WOULD BE NICE IF SOME HAD MENTIONED THIS. MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS LIKE YOUR RESTAURANT BUT THIS TO SAY THE LEAST WAS NOT UP TO WHAT I EXPECT FROM ONE OF JEAN ROBERTS RESTAURANTS.
Wonderful experience. Delicious dinner. Excellent service and great ambiance.
Excellent food and service. The food just melts in your mouth. Comfortable atmosphere. Great night!
Awesome service and decadent food.
Music was too loud. Could not have a conversation with our friends. In the future we will check to see if they have live music before we commit
As always, the food was excellent. This is one of my favorite go to locations for business dinners, special occasions or just a good quality meal. There’s always some creative chef specials and they always make the mark.
As part of the holiday, I arranged a dinner for my wife and I to have our own private celebration at Jean Robert's. The dinner exceeded expectations. Service was outstanding and each course was really impressive in both taste and presentation. Just a fantastic evening
I loved the ambiance of Table. We had a cozy booth by the window on a very cold day. It felt like going into a cafe in Paris. Loved the cloths on the table. The bread brought to the table was absolutely delicious. My husband really enjoyed the Omelette du jour. I ordered the goat cheese Brick salad, which by the description sounded so interesting. The goat cheese in the "brick", actually a paper thin crepe, was delicious. The extra ingredients were interesting and it was perfectly dressed, lightly as in Europe. However, the lettuce seemed as if it were poured out of a bag bought yesterday at the grocery. And the endive garnish was limp and a little brown about the edges. Pretty disappointed. With fresh and interesting greenery I would have given it the 5th star.
I was very disappointment with our lunch. We had a table of 4 and were seated before others around us. Both tables on either side of us had their orders take prior to us. The one table had their meal, eat and paid and left before we even had our food. Our meal took over 2 hours. Just very disappointed. I expect more from a Jean-Robert's restaurant.
My wife and I continue to bring new people to The Table because of the exceptional experience. Food-drinks-service are all fantastic! This is our favorite Cincinnati restaurant by far. Thank you chefs and staff for always making us feel welcome!
Perfect, What I think of when I go for fine Dinning.
Went to Jean-Roberts Table for the first time after I couldn’t get a reservation at another restaurant I was recommended..and I’m so glad I did. This place was amazing.
1-The food: everything was prepared perfect. The tartare was delicious. My wife had the Venison and it was flavorful and cooked perfect; but the duck breast stole the show. Hands down the best I have EVER had!!! If your like me and order Duck when I’m see it on the menu of any quality restaurant, then this will set the bar so high IDK how I’m not going to be disappointed at the next restaurant.
2-service: Big game in town the next day, so it was a very busy. With that said, Our server was one of the most professional, knowledgeable and pleasant of any fine dinning restaurant I have been. Extremely attentive while not being overbearing during your dining experience.
Thank you very much for a wonderful evening and anyone who passes this restaurant for another would be crazy.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is delicious and the service impeccable.
Humble homelike environment for fantastic French food!
Always great food in a casual but upscale atmosphere
Always a top notch go to in Cincinnati. Jean Roberts never disappoints.
We are never disappointed in the food or service! This is our go to restaurant to celebrate special occasions or to have a wonderful evening.
I have eaten at the Table many times and it has always been great food. We went for lunch to celebrate the holiday and the food was nothing short of mediocre - my guest and I were very disappointed! I had an omelet and had asked for avocado instead of ham and the ham was left off, but no avocado. The omelette was one of the most bland I have ever tasted and there was hardly any asparagus in it! The frites were soggy and not very good. My friend got the croque monsieur and she said it was nothing more than a basic BLT, on "ho-hum" bread with a hunk of chicken liver. We have many friends in the restaurant/catering business (one in particular had a french restaurant/catering business). We have tasted what a good croque monsiuer should be and this was not even close. Quiet a disappointment for a french inspired restaurant!
Everything went really well and the food was great but one of the chairs
Had a screw or small nail sticking out of it and snagged my pants and ripped a hole in to them.
The Table is always consistent with great food, ambiance and an attentive group of people to enhance the dining experience. There is no other restaurant in Cincinnati that can top this experience.
One of the best dining experiences of my many years. The food and service were top notch. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and attentive.
We had a lovely time. We had received gift certificates from our children two years in a row and decided to take friends to Jean-Robert's table. The service was fantastic. We had a wonderful meal and a lovely bottle of wine and terrific desert. Honestly, it couldn't have been better. Thank you so much!
The foie gras is always amazing
