Tiny space (reservations a must) but very good food and polite, efficient service. I would definitely go back.

We rediscovered this restaurant and loved everything about it.
The steak frites and salad and tuna tartar were excellent!!
Couldn't wait to try other dishes, so went back with our grandson.
He loved his hangar steak and salad.
We were not thrilled with what we ordered.
However, the people are very nice, the service extremely good and we'll go back again and try something new

Food and service are always excellent. Never disappointing! A particularly delicious special was the dish of medallions of lamb over mashed potatoes. A wonderful go to restaurant for a neighborhood dinner with friends.

Real French bistro with reasonably priced and well chosen wine list.
It's a vanishing breed and to be cherished.

We showed up at 5pm on a Friday and had the restaurant all to ourselves. The chef prepared French bistro food -- steamed mussels in white wine with frites, lamb with a red wine reduction -- and it was very good. The menu and wine list are both short, but the quality is there.

Great traditional and simple French restaurant. We had the mussels, which come in a very well prepared traditional white wine sauce. Also had the Snapper, which was a daily special, and was excellent too.

Duck breast was very fatty but tasty. Steak frites was good but not exceptional. Just serve wine no cocktails.

Our host, one of the restaurant's partners, was so attentive that on hearing our conversation he delivered two glasses of chilled Pino Grigio. He then took our order and brought us a delicious omelet with pommes frites and my favorite, salmon over spinach cooked with mushrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversation, pleased we could hear each other just as others were also enjoying their luncheon companions, food, and beverages. My only wish was that the salmon, requested as medium, had arrived that way. It was well done. Having dined at this restaurant with my husband, with my brother, and with friends, I will return for another pleasant, tasty lunch or dinner.

Jean Claude is our favorite neighborhood and French restaurant. The food (everything on the menu) is delicious. They need to offer the bouillabaisse more often as a special. The wines are moderately priced and very good. You can get whole bottles or just carafes or by the glass. My favorite is the duck breast. The bread pudding should be outlawed. I have requested that it not even appear in the vicinity of our table....I have no willpower. The luncheon menu is excellent and it is quieter during the day. It would be very good for a business or leisurely lunch with friends.

As always at Jean Claude 2 I enjoyed my dining experience. I was surprised however to receive an email from Open Table telling me that I had not arrived for my reservation - when in fact I was at dinner at 8pm. I can provide the receipt of necessary. Disappointed that I have to spend time addressing this.

Food was disappointing. The vegetables were burned and the steak was clearly revived from the freezer. The duck was not moist and sweet, though it was properly cooked. The vegetables with the duck were soggy and dull.
What happened?
