The service here is completely impeccable!
Great service and huge portions of food. Lively ambience and overall good time.
Great food, service and overall experience
Tiffany was amazing. I was able to bring my dad in for the first time for his 58th birthday and we had an amazing time. There was not a moment we were in need of anything. The best recommendations and highlights on the menu, her service was the best we’ve had in a long time( we eat out probably 4 times a week at different restaurants). I look forward to coming back to sit in her section.
Wonderful service! Tried clams for the first time and loved them. Shrimp and Grits where really creamy and delicious, better than I had in Charleston! The fried chicken did not disappoint breading was not heavy. Would go back next time I’m in town!!!
JCT is a staple. Been too many times to count. Consistently great food and service.
Bartender took our drink order and asked me twice what I wanted. She still brought the wrong drink. Then she told me to sip on that until she got the right drink. Which she never did until I order another.
Then the host came over and told us they were running late for our 9:30 table and if we didn’t mind we could eat at the bar. He offered us a drink for our hassle. The bar stools were not to comfortable, but we agreed to eat there, even though we had a reservation via open table.
The food was very good, we especially enjoyed the oysters and the fried chicken.
My wife and I had a enjoyable evening having our anniversary dinner here. Staff was great, bar service was quick to get us drinks while we waited for our table. Reservation was at 8, and got sat for our table at 8:07. Not bad at all given how crowded it was when we arrived. We really enjoyed our dinner and would recommend it to our friends.
Great ambiance and wait staff. The food is okay.
Outstanding as always! Whenever I have someone coming in from out of town I always bring them to JCT kitchen to get a fabulous taste of upscale Southern cuisine in a casual comfortable crisp clean environment. Perfect for casual or business dress dining. The service is always wonderful, everyone is always delightful. I can’t recommend any one thing because everything I have ever had there is perfectly scrumptious.
Server was great! Love the atmosphere. Would be great for date night as well
Great meal as always at JCT. Angry Mussels were on point! Thanks for a delicious dinner.
Great time! Had reservations but still had to wait 15 min. Not a big deal but the bar was way too crowded to grab a drink while we wait. Server was very knowledgeable. Try the angry mussels and the deviled eggs :)
Had a VERY GOOD experience! Thank you : )
We shall return!
Great food and atmosphere! Server was a little ditzy after explaining to her twice how we wanted to split the bill, she charged the same credit card twice.
Overall, a good value, and great food.
One if the best dining experiences we have had! Food was amazing and the catfish was the best we have ever had
The waiter was helpful, professional, fun and knowledgeable. We started with the best oysters, delicious house salad and a bottle of Martin Ray Cabernet. Then went on to the trout dinner which was perfect. The manager was beyond helpful and made our dining at JCT a great experience. Thank you JCT.
Beautiful restaurant, attentive waitstaff, interesting twist on southern cuisine. Delicious.
Maine Lobster Roll was spectacular! Also the parmesan truffle fries were to die for. Definitely coming back soon.
Everything was superb! It all started with Tara. She was amazing! I had been to JCT previously, but my guest had not. She received us as if we were guest in her home. She answered all our questions with knowledge and genuine care. The food was fantastic, as always, but we will be back because of Tara.
We spent 5 hours there. The ambiance was great. Our wait staff was awesome and the ladies enjoyed their cocktails. We will be back again for another business meeting. Thank you so much. The UNCENSORED SENIORS AND THE COMEDIAN. Look for our comedy show on theYouTube. #USATC
Amazing experience every time! I celebrate most of my special events there. My birthday and my anniversary was amazing! Amazing service, food is consistently good
This is where we decided to go for my birthday and I don’t think we could have picked a better place. The food was great and the sever ice was extraordinary!!! Our server, who was a fellow Pisces, shared a bit of the history of the place with us which added even more to the experience.
Service and food was excellent. Staff was very attentive to my elderly mom who didn’t hear very well and had special requests.
Perfect birthday dinner. It was my first time at Sunday Supper and we cant wait to come back.
Delicious as always.
We had a great time! Enjoyed the night
Service took forever. We waited over 45 for drinks. We were seated for over an hour before being served dinner. We love JCT and will go back, unfortunately, they couldn’t get it together!! Many people around us were experiencing the same thing.
We chose JCT Kitchen for my fiance's 30th birthday. He wanted southern food, and heard many great reviews of JCT Kitchen. The food definitely did not disappoint. It was phenomenal! We started with oysters and the truffle parmesan fries (yum!). For our main entrees, we had the fried chicken and chicken and dumpling. The fried chicken was exceptional and a big portion. I was disappointed in the small size of the chicken and dumplings entree, but it tasted great. The ambiance of JCT was nice, but very loud. Overall, we enjoyed the evening and will definitely return for the food. May try for an outside table next time to avoid some of the noise.
We came to JCT Kitchen to celebrate my mom’s birthday. I made a reservation using OpenTable for 7 but one more person ended up joining the table that was ready for us couldn’t accommodate us all but the hostess was very nice & they were able to quickly handle the situation by building us another table so we didn’t have to wait any longer which was great. Our waitress Maria was attentive and catered to our every need and the food was delicious as always. Majority of the table ordered the fried chicken which is one of their popular menu items. Overall our experience was amazing.
Mussels were amazing , fried chicken amazing and huge ! Truffle fries are a must
Fantastic food and service! Best fried chicken I’ve ever tasted!
Client dinner and a wonderful experience!
Birthday celebration and great time
Always amazing comfort food, cocktails, and service!
I often take client's to JCT for business lunches, however, I love this place so much we often go for happy hour and dinner. The food is delicious and creative. I would recommend this place for any occasion.
There were 6 of us. We were taken to a table right by the server’s station and by a door leading outside where there were diners. We asked for another table away from the station and door so it would be a little quieter. It was 1:45 so the restaurant was very open. The server/floor manager was a little perturbed and tried to sell us on the original table. We politely asked if they could put a few tables together in another area. She did so but then when we thanked her, she wouldn’t look at us or even respond. She filled water and dropped the menus down. Then when our friends arrived deviled eggs and truffle fries arrived at the table. I thought it was a very nice offering to us and we thoroughly enjoyed them! We enjoyed our lunch and spoke enthusiastically about State Of Grace opening in Austin and another opening in Nashville as our friends are from Austin and moving this summer to Nashville. When our check arrived we were charged for the fries and deviled eggs that we didn’t even order. We payed and left but it didn’t sit well with us. The woman that had them delivered to our table was no longer on the clock so we didn’t feel comfortable about asking our server about them in front of our guests. Anyway, this is a very long story! Will we go back to JCT? Absolutely!!! We love it! It was just an unfortunate experience but it didn’t ruin our lunch.
I'll start by say we love JCT. We probably eat there at least once every couple of weeks. Heck, I was there on Friday for lunch with my daughter. This Sunday supper was not the best. The pasta in the mac and cheese was wayyyy overcooked. The flavor was excellent but the pasta was so mushy it was almost like mashed potatoes. The shrimp and scallop etoffee was also not the best. A bit on the bland side. But the service was great as usual and the rest of the dishes were good. The fried chicken is always a good bet and the roasted root veggies were excellent.
JCT kitchen has always been one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. The ambiance is of an old time restaurant set back in the 30's-40's.. with a coastal flair. The food here does not disappoint, and their fried chicken is some of the best in ATL. My husband and I dined here on Sunday, where they offered their "Sunday Supper" which is a prix fixe menu. We started with the biscuits & apple butter, then moved on to the Deviled eggs which had a nice dijon mustard yolk. That also included a salad which a medley of butter lettuce, pickled vegetables and a sweet vinaigrette dressing. We also each had a cocktail, my husband opting for the "Hunger Talk" which proceeds benefit hunger in the atlanta homeless community. I got the Top Side, but later on also got a Hungr Talk. It appears that drink is not always on their regular menu, but the Top Side is. For entree's my husband got the famous fried chicken and boy we can see why! I got the shrimp and scallop etouffee, similar dish to their traditional shrimp and grits.. but served over rice instead. For the sides we had the macaroni and cheese, duck fat aioli fingerling potatoes & the winter vegetables.. all delicious. For dessert we had the passion fruit tart.. which is not a normal dessert option, but was very light and refreshing. I highly highly recommend JCT, we will for sure be back for more!
We had an 8:45 pm reservation, but not seated till 9:30... it’s truly unfortunate since I’m a Ford Fry fan... Ultimately Winny our server made the rest of our experience tolerable, but the front of house needs desperate training.
Please note that the more you state the term “my apologies” over and over again without a resolution to the problem can potentially damage the relationship between you and the inconvenienced customer. Listen, emphasize and resolve the issue is my suggestion to your front of house staff.
I can’t imagine dining at JCT again for quite some time to be honest for that embarrassing situation will stay with me for a bit.
I do however appreciate the recovery efforts.
