Always enjoy dinner here especially sitting outside on a beautiful night.
Scored a table on the patio! Far enough away to enjoy the loud band but not unable to talk. We love the food here but this night the swordfish special was over the top stand in the woods and scream excellent! The fish is always fresh and came with a sweet onion sauce...so delicious. There was polenta that was light as a feather and yet had a crispy crust. Veg was a mixture of zucchini and yellow squash...my favorites. I left not a crumb. DH picked the same dish and echoed the praises. We washed it down with a delightful fume blanc. To note..you have to ask for bread...which is also really good.
Food was excellent. Crab cakes were the best. Key lime pie desert good but a little pricey.
We were seated immediately for our reservation, the food was delicious, and the service was great. Would definitely come back.
A poor waitress can ruin even a favorite restaurant like J Bs.
My wife ordered lobster Benedict. Out came crab Benedict. I ordered traditional Benedict. Eggs were cold and potatoes underdone. I ate alone while my wife watched.
Lobster took 15 minutes to be served.
Then we ordered coffee. Delivered not hot. When told the waitress Jourdan argued that the cream was to blame. She reluctantly took the cold cups away, brewed a fresh pot and that was that. Not a good day for JBs.
My friend and I had a lovely dining experience at JB's On The Beach.
The atmosphere was energetic, the staff friendly and efficient.
Thank you JB's On The Beach!!
Made reservations only to find out upon arrival “a 30 minute wait.” Outside was 40-minutes. The bar had open seating and the service at the bar made up for any shortcomings of the seating availability. My visiting friend and I shared a Crab Tostada: Highly recommend it. The grilled salmon was perfectly cooked. Love the beach access.
The menu was different this time. It didn't have as much as it used to or maybe the options we so different it just seemed that way.
However sitting outside near the ocean is always amazing.
JB's is right on the beach so the atmosphere is great! However, it was very noisy and difficult to have a conversation. The food and service were decent.
JBs is a great place to dine! Staff is wonderful, the beachfront view is spectacular, and the food is great! A "must" for tourists and for locals.....
As usual the food and the service and the view were wonderful
Very very long wait even with reservations. Great views, delicious oysters
I have eaten at JB’s many times but never sat outside. Unfortunately, I was seated outside this time and there was a very loud band playing. We had gotten together with 2 other couples we had not seen for a while and I thought they would enjoy the food. Unfortunately, we also wanted conversation which was impossible. A suggestion might be to notify customers that they will be seated in an area with loud music in case they would prefer a more quiet atmosphere. They do call to confirm so that might be a good tome to do it.
The whole snapper entree was one of the best meals I've had in a while. Perfectly prepared & fall-off-the-bone good. Absolutely delicious. The rest of our party thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well. We will definitely be back!
Food was again excellent. The location is great! However, the service this time was pretty slow; our waiter was not very attentive. We usually have better service.
Excellent food and service. We were a party of 6 and everyone chose a different item from the menu. Everyone was pleased not only with the meal but the large quantity as well. Highly recommend.
JB's never disappoints but this visit was the best. We had a stellar table right on the water. There was a rainbow (I don't think this comes standard) and our server was excellent. The food is always good, but if you like paella or ribs, those were our favorites.
Definitely recommend JB's to anyone who's looking for waterfront dining!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and the food was excellent! Our server, Rob, was attentive, helpful, and did a great job overall.
Amazing food, music and service. Always a good time at JB’s.
JB's has become my "go to" place to bring northern friends for lunch. Sitting by the beach on a sunny day when there's snow and ice in their back-at-home driveways..... Makes them smile. Me, too. :) Good service, good food. Have never felt rushed. Valet parking quick, easy, and inexpensive.
We arrived for lunch and were seated quickly. The view of the beach and the ocean provided a serene backdrop for a perfect afternoon lunch. Fish and chips were fresh and delicious and the usual large sized portion was really too much for one person. Doggie bags were graciously provided. Janet's lobster salad displayed half a lobster along with an ample amount of shrimp atop garden fresh mixed greens. A luncheon special of mahi-mahi served with vegetables and mashed potatoes was perfectly prepared. A delicious cup of cappuccino was a wonderful ending to a very enjoyable lunch. Service provided by Justin was outstanding.
Love this restaurant. I would not use their website to book a table. I did that this last time, 2 days before we were coming, and it didn't work very well!
The fish and chips are a must.
Excellent!!!!!!!!!!! Service was great, ambience was awesome food was great.
I come to South Florida twice a year and ALWAYS hit up JB's . It's a family favorite with great food and a stellar atmosphere! And their connection with Charity Dine makes it even more affordable and appealing!
Fun restaurant to sit outside and watch the people, volleyball and the pier. Lovely ocean view to enjoy while enjoying good food and service
Always happy with JB’s! Great food and service! Thanks
Too loud, hat to shout to talk to the person next to you
Everything was delicious and service and ambience were great. Beautiful day to eat by the ocean.
Everything was lovely for my friends’s birthday lunch. We used a local dines coupon but the waitress did not remind us that an 18% tip was added. We inadvertently left an extra 20% tip. Service was good but not worth 38%.
Also the restaurant never gave me my Open Table points! Disappointed.
We were seated at the time of our reservation and were lucky enough to get an outdoor table facing the beach. We had an excellent waiter who was very attentive. Food was yummy! We will be back next year when we return to Deerfield and won’t hesitate to recommend you to our friends!
Took my dear friend for her birthday lunch. I had made the reservation and when making the reservation, it asks is it a special occasion. I put down birthday. When we got there and went outside to eat, the gentleman that seated us asked whose birthday it was and I pointed to my friend. With all that, you would have thought, they would give a piece of cake or something for the birthday person. But nope, nada. I was quite surprised. Why did they bother to ask. Anyway, she loved her lunch. She got the wasabi ahi tuna and I had the Janet’s shrimp and lobster salad which I’ve had numerous times before and it’s always delicious. The only thing they don’t do anymore is the Tex-Mex bronzed swordfish which is outstanding. They need to put it back on the menu, please, JB’s is just a delightful place to eat, being at the beach the weather was wonderful, the food outstanding, who could ask for anything more except some birthday cake.
If you haven’t been, you should go.
I made a reservation far in advance because I was traveling out of town. I arrived and my table was not ready for 30 mins. The hostess asked me “did you call and say 8:15 instead?” I said no and was given a buzzer. After 30 mins and bad bar service we were seated at a large table that I did not make a reservation for. I called and reserved a two top near the musics and was seated at a large low round table away from the music. What was the point of calling and making a reservation? Our waiter arrived and was friendly. We promptly placed our orders. It took awhile. The food was excellent but the waiter was over stretched and only came to check on us one time when we were finished and we asked for the bill. I was so excited to try this place but was very disappointed. On a Friday night your staff need to be prepared. They were friendly but reservations are important.
Food was OK but deserts were outstanding. Overall....fine
OUR FAMILY HAD SO MUCH FUN AND A GREAT LUNCH MEAL WITH FRIENDS. i HAD THE AHI TUNA SALAD AND IT WAS OUTSTANDING. THE VIEW IS SPECTACULAR...HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Jbs is always a nice place to come on he beach . Seafood is always wonderful. Always come back !
Toni our server was great! Ask for her!!
Great outdoor setting for small or large group. On a less busy section of the waterfront. Great food with quality ingredients. And beautiful views.
Very disappointed that despite the fact we had a reservation, we were seated at a table in most undesirable part of the restaurant without being given any options to move to a slightly better location.
Fantastic! Loved the vibe. Loved the food. Service WC was great. Bar was fun.
It was Easter. The food was served either raw or over cooked. We had Brandi I, cherrywood salmon, paella filet mignon and scallops. Branzjni and salmon were dry, filet mug on too rare, scallops burnt and lobster dhtimp hardly any lobster and too to much salad and mango. Only thing decent was the paella. Marvin the waiter was pleasant and served our drinks and bread quickly and courteously, but when asked to bring a dressing never came back. I’ve been to jb at lunch, and enjoyed every bit of food. You guys struck out ...
