Food was amazing as usual and our waitress - Maddison - was a delight.
We've been here so often that we've lost track of the number of visits. However, this one was wonderful, as all previous visits have been. We save Jay's for special occasions but it's well worth a little splurge to know you'll have a perfect experience.
Menu changed. My favorite shrimp dish is no longer on the menu. Food was nothing stellar this time. Salad very basic and the pork dish was way too salty. Best part if this meal was the bread. Disappointed.
Food was very good. Service was outstanding. I really enjoyed the ambiance of having a live jazz band perform at a nice volume throughout the evening. Very classy!
First time diners. Wonderful experience. The wait staff service as well as the food was excellent. Definitely will be back. Highly recommended.
Can't say enough about the quality of food. Everything was truly delicious. Service is always top notch.
We were here for a week and chose Jay’s Bistro for our dining experience. It was truly one of the best meals we both had! My husband struggled between the lamb trio or the bison strip and opted for the lamb- amazing! Oysters and a cocktail as a starter and the potatoes yum! We would highly recommend Jay’s!
Great restaurant in Fort Collins! Super ambiance and delicious food.
Excellent food, great service and wonderful ambience and live music.
For $38.00 a plate for Chilean Sea Bass, I thought they were a little skimpy. I can get better portion at Bone Fish.
We had a great experience at Jay’s overall! We had some serious food allergies in our party and they went out of their way to be accommodating. We had a wonderful server and we loved the live music too. Our only negative experience here was that when my husband ordered a glass of wine at the bar that he mentioned he didn’t care for, we were charged for both glasses when he ordered an alternate choice.
We would definitely go back!
Great food! I lived the lamb Chios I had and the Brussels. I didn’t care for the ravioli that came with the lamb. We shared a salad that was delicious.
It was my husbands birthday and the creme brûlée was delicious ! We topped it it all off with cappuccinos! It was Friday , jazz night so we were glad we were happy to dine outside as the noise level every time the door opened was very loud! At our age we are very sensitive to that! We enjoyed the jazz we heard when the door did open 😀’ we definitely will be back !
Great service and food for a fair price. Always enjoy dining at Jay's Bistro.
First time at Jay's. We enjoyed the jazz but wish it wasn't so loud (and we were sitting about as far as one could get from the musicians). We waited a LONG time for our food. Server and manager kept apologizing (and took appetizer off our bill which was nice). Food was very tasty but portions small for the price. We will be back for jazz and drinks - not conversation.
The whole experience was delightful - from Taylor’s excellent service to the environment to the food.
Our first experience at Jay’s back in the winter of 2019 was great! Took friends out this last Saturday for dinner and everyone at our table complained about their meal not being worth the cost & a bland taste.
Celebrated my birthday with great friends and we all loved the entire experience. John, our waiter, was fabulous and recommended some of his favorite menu selections. The food was all fabulous with the best scallops I have ever eaten. Sides and salads were large enough to share with partner, which made the meal a good value. Chocolate peanut butter pie was great too (also shared). Great evening.
Healthy , delicious menu. Well prepared & presented. Sitting outside was relaxing. We plan to take our friends next time.
Jay's is always great been going there for years. Never a bad experience
Food was delicious and service was excellent!
Go early, get a window table, ask for John as your waiter, and order the sea bass. A terrific night.
Getting the table we requested, allowing some dinner menu items during lunch and especially the birthday card signed by the entire staff with an accompanying swan origami made for very special 94th for my father.
Oysters were fantastic, crab cake was exceptional, lobster bisque was very good and Colorado lamb ribs were amazing. Also appreciated the creme brulee with a candle.
Thank you all for your caring and personal attention to detail. I hope we can come back for number 95.
We were on our way to Denver and had a marvelous meal during happy hour!
Went for a quiet anniversary dinner and completely enjoyed the evening. The service was excellent.
As we run out of fine dining options in Fort Collins, it's great to know that Jay's Bistro is holding its own. This was our second time eating here and we've yet to make to the entrees. The small plates are amazing. One of the best Lobster Mac & Cheeses I've ever eaten. Superb Ceviche and perfectly cooked Mussels. Save room for the chocolate stuffed ravioli for dessert!
We ate outdoors, very pleasant. They have a new menu, lots of interesting items. I went with the pork three ways, my wife said the salad (from a local CSA) was one of the best she's had.
The new owners have really ramped up the food!! I ordered the tenderloin and it was butter soft and perfectly cooked to what I asked for. The proportion’s were perfect for my friend and I. Definitely upscale prices, but to be honest the food was well worth it, definitely deserving!!! We will go back.
It was our first dining experience at Jay's Bistro under the new management. The menu did not disappoint. I had the Pork Three Ways with the Beet Risotto and Cesar salad. My wife had the Blackened Crab Cake with the Harvest Salad and the Alaskan Halibut with Vegetables du Jour. The ambiance was nice where we were seated (booth area); the lighting was more dim opposed to the tables with chairs area (reservation at 8p in July). During our dinner we met the farmer who provides produce to Jay's, and both owners. After dinner, we moved to the bar where we listened to an intimate jazz band while served delicious cocktails from a professional and expert bartender. We will return without a doubt!
The new menu is a disappointment and the overall ambience in the restaurant has changed; I won't be back.
Our waitress was very good and attentive. a glass of Prosecco was ordered and was totally flat. It was replaced. I ordered pasta primevara and there was no pasta in it - just balls of bread. Would not have it again.
Our waiter was awesome. It was our 33rd wedding anniversary, great service great food
New menu was great. Everything we had was excellent. Live jazz music was a nice touch.
Ignored for 10 minutes upon being seated. No offer for water, or acknowledgement we were there. Ordered crap cake which was served flat and tasteless, and the lobster ravioli which was covered in cheese. With the high cost, the restaurant delivered a very below average experience.
Always top notch service and food. Our #1 choice for fine dining in Fort Collins.
Very varied menu for all three "courses.
Had the Scallops and cooked perfectly.
Interesting bar drinks as well.
Food, service and drinks were excellent. Highly recommend Jays for any occasion. Really superb in every way..
Always excellent here. The best fine dining in Fort Collins. Food and service are superb. Colin, the manager, makes you feel at home. It is a very nice touch.
We came to Jays for my husband’s birthday dinner and the experience exceeded our expectations all around. The food was spectacular (I had diver scallops, my husband the surf and turf). They had special touches for his birthday- a signed card and origami by the staff and a free creme brulee. The service was also excellent, we felt special which was kind of nice. It is spendy, but absolutely worth it. Thank you Jay’s!!
Delicious well prepared and presented food. Service was attentive and punctual. Excellent choice for a special meal.
This was our 4th visit, the second since new management took over. Love it! Staff and friendly but not intrusive. Food is tasty and interesting. Nice wine list.
