Made us wait 1 hour
Birthday was great
We make a reservation, go there and the restaurant is closed !
Loved the ambiance and the music. The food was amazing! The only issue was the host & hostesses. They were so pretentious and I did not appreciate the attitude. They sat us at a table in the middle of the busy walkway which was a concern for me during Covid. When I asked for another table that I had seen empty, I was told it’s reserved. That table sat empty the entire time we were there. I live in NYC and I have stayed at some of the best hotels and restaurants around the world and never experienced behavior like that. The waiter on the other hand was exceptional. To the hosts: get over yourself!
The ambiance is fantastic. Lively, upbeat and sophisticated. Service was superb. The entertainment was a welcome surprise. You must have the Truffle Dumplings.
The appetizer, veggies and desert were great. The main courses were ok, nothing special. The service was slow but the place was packed so maybe it was just one of those days? The ambiance was great. I liked the indoor/outdoor seating and the place had a good vibe.
Food was fantastic. Service was excellent
Food was amazing and reasonably priced. Riceless sushi roll was to die for.
Awesome restaurant, great ambiance and the service is exceptional.
My husband and teenage boys had an amazing time. The food was tasty and the ambience an experience in itself. Thank you to the staff as well. Very attentive and pleasant.
We decided to come here to celebrate my boyfriends 30th birthday, and it was the absolute worst. The first thing the waiter said was “the kitchen closes in 5 minutes so you guys need to order “, literally that, like what?! And that’s after waiting 45 minutes after our reservation. The rudeness was consistent the whole night and the food was just okay. I’m extremely disappointed and will never come back.
This is definitely a “cool” Miami scene restaurant, especially on the weekends. I’ve been several times. Unfortunately regardless of whether you make a reservation or not, you could be waiting an hour for your table and the service is notoriously bad. Food is pretty good. I love the duck and fried rice and there are plenty of other good options. If you like standing around waiting for a table you reserved for an hour or waiting 30 minutes in between waiter visits, this can be a great place for you. But if you have any sense of time it probably won’t be as enjoyable. Which is sad because it could be even better and they’d probably make more $$$ if people could get more than one cocktail at dinner.
The show on Friday night was super cool! Nice to have entertainment with your meal. The food was great. I got the duck and it was delicious and perfect portion.
The food was not good at all
The fish was not fresh!
We only enjoyed the vibes
The ambience was very pleasant & so were the drinks & food.
However the service was not up to the mark. We had reservation for 9.30 pm but were seated around 10.15 pm
Showed up at 9:25 for a 9:30 reservation, was told 20-30 minute wait. We were finally seated at 10:20- DJ left by then and we were told it was the last call for food. While we waited for our table, they said we could wait at the bar which we did. I ordered a few drinks for us, 20 minutes later the bar tender walked up to me and said I need to order from someone else (why take my order then?). Food was great here, but service was a mess.
Service was extremely bad and food was given to us cold. Bad experience
Birthday party
Just a great scene with great food!
The restaurant was beautiful and the food was very good, however service was exceptionally slow. It took us 20 min to get our servers attention to order drinks even, so we took advantage to order all of our food and drinks at once. Appetizers came fairly quickly, but a long wait for mains. Again waited more than 20 min trying to get our servers attention to order dessert, which we eventually passed on having been there for over 3 hours for a table of 4. The server brought some macaroons on the house, I believe as a gesture of apology, however did not disclose the fact that 2/3 were pistachio despite us stating that we had a nut allergy at the table. Honestly a very narrowly avoided ER visit.
I have never made a complaint about service in my entire life, having been a server myself, however felt compelled to let the hostesses know on our way out. They never asked where we sat, so have little confidence that any issues were addressed. I had been highly looking forward to Jaya, having eaten at many of Miami’s best restaurants however was sorely disappointed. This restaurant reflects poorly on the Setai’s otherwise good reputation.
Great food, great atmosphere and great service. Top in Miami Beach
Sadly the pandemic must have adversely impacted Jaya at the Setai’s ability to procure fruit, as well as their customer service. Why do we say this? After we asked if they could please bring avocado for the tuna tacos that were missing avocado, the waitress came back and told us they had avocado. Except there was only one flaw with that assertion. They didnt. Then for dessert after we ordered 2 orders of berries, they told us they were running out of berries. When we called the manager she actually admitted that she was decelerating the pace of berry distribution (our verbiage, not hers), and we were served our berries. So they had not run out of berries, but tried their best not to serve them to us. But doesn’t this beg the following questions? Were they saving the berries for other, more important guests? If not, what difference does it make if they run out of the berries for ourselves or a third party guest? Why don’t they order more berries? Reminiscent of what could have been a Seinfeld or Curb Your Enthusiasm episode. Most importantly, isn’t it shocking that we literally had to waste our time at a 5 star hotel like the Setai debating over fruit and berries?
Exceptional food and ambience. Will definitely be back.
Very fun vibe ! Food was extremely sub par. In fact some dishes were not even eaten. 500.00 dinner for mediocre food. I love nice restaurants and always willing to pay the price, but this place missed it.
Holiday
Exceptional high end Indian cuisine
Live entertainment (fire dancers)
Beautiful hotel in Miami Beach
Slow and confused service, food was super forgettable. Not the same as I remembered.
Absolutely breathtaking. Beautiful atmosphere, great service and great food.
We waited over hour and half for food. We weren’t offered any water refills or if we wanted more drinks. It was a bad experience over all. Half of the food was cold by the time it came to us.
This place is wild. Do not go if you want to have a quiet conversation but it is really entertaining with loud music, fire dancer and acrobatic dancer. Food is very interesting but grossly over priced as are the drinks but I guess you are paying for the entertainment. Decor is wonderful with live palm trees throughout the restaurant.
Very crowded Easter brunch, poorly dressed attendees despite business casual dress code...that does not mean t-shirts and flip-flops. Way overpriced
