Beautiful place with amazing music (it was hard to keep still listening to such nice beat). The food was outstanding, service excellent and generally the staff from the entry to the exit was extremely helpful. Very recommended!!
Mother’s 65th Birthday
On first arrival the jazz music just draws you in. I noted on the reservation that it was my girlfriend birthday and she was greeted as such so we were already off to an amazing start. However the thing that really won me over was when Yamit and the Vinyl blvd offered a special dedication performance for my girlfriend birthday. She was almost in tears and my day was made. Thanks Jaya for a unforgettable experience.
The only thing I don't like to be pressure to have our meal and drinks in two ours, we pay put brunch fee, and stay two more hours drinking and paying. The place was not packed, there were a lot of empty tables but not your server but the bosses push them to spoil you meal because they remained us that we ha just two hours.
Food and waitress was amazing! felt it was unfair that they seated walk-ins outside in their beautiful outdoor scenery and those with reservations were left waiting and only offered champagne for a 20-30 min wait. My bf and i waited 20 minutes just for the hostess who “checked us in” to ask who we were. After speaking to another hostess we were sat inside sadly. Which was unexpected because we did have reservations hours in advance. OTHERWISE the food was amazing and the ambiance was great !!! drinks were 9/10 ! loved it !
The food was very good. It was overpriced but thats expected for Miami Beach and I understand you’re also paying for the ambience. Also we had to wait an additional hour to be seated outside despite the fact we had reservations. The staff was very friendly and attentive and overall despite a few things I had a great experience.
The worst dining experience.
Besides the show, which was entertaining, the rest of the experience was a complete disaster. They made us wait more than 40 minutes for our table, while people that arrived after us were getting seated (yes, we had a reservation). When asked what’s the point of even making a reservation, one awfully unsympathetic hostess responded “You get awarded with priority”.
Then they gave us a table that could not possibly sit 3 people and we had to argue to get a decent table. Our server was inattentive, whom we had to ask to take our order.
I asked for a vegan Pad Thai, which came out 1/2 the size of the regular one that my friend ordered. When I pointed out the size difference, the server took it back to the kitchen. 5 minutes later I was given the same dish just soaked in oil. It tasted awful and bitter, I had to return it.
No apology was issued at any point. Everyone was acting as if we should be grateful for whatever we got. Poor dining experience, that’s what we got. Well, to be exact, that’s what we were “awarded” with.
Disrespectful, ignorant, unprofessional, and snobby.
If all you care about is posting pic on social media, this may be your place.
But if you actually care about getting a nice dining experience - this is the last place you should consider.
Beautiful place, great food ( fillet minon etc) but the waitress became less attentive once we eat .
Also it was super hot until the opened up the roof. Honestly we were all sweating.
Cool experience for one time but way too expensive!
It was very nice place ! The food, drinks and entertainment were great ! The only thing I would suggest is bigger portion sizes, very small for the amount you pay.
The ambiance was amazing and loved our server. My favorite dish was the truffle dumplings. The only thing is that our fish was cooked well done and it was dry and we noticed that tables nearby were experiencing the same problem.
I had the Prawns. I was surprised by how large they were and how filling the meal was. I ordered garlic naan to complete the entrée. It was yummy!
Excellent in every way.
So romantic!! Great ambiance and amazing food!! Staff was so kind and accommodating!! I'm newly vegetarian and have an allergy to alcohol and they were able to make adjustments so I could still try everything I wanted!!! Best date night in Miami
Great ambiance. Service was excellent. Food was great. I highly recommend the truffle dumplings.
Outstanding ! The truffle dumplings were the best ever !
Great dining experience!! 10/10 we did the Miami space menu and it was amazing. Great atmosphere and very attentive staff.
The ambiance is the best part of this restaurant. I’m from NYC and aside from NYC and Las Vegas I would think Miami would have great food. I got the high spirits drink which was delicious. I was disappointed with the food at Jaya. I got the Miami Spice menu and had the truffle dumplings and wok fried beef. The dumplings were good because of the truffle but the scallops inside didn’t taste fresh. The wok friend beef was average. My boyfriend got chicken fried rice and it was so plain, no taste whatsoever. The cream puff dessert was good, though the puff was so hard it was difficult to break a piece off with the spoons they gave us. Our waiter was consistent at the beginning, once our food came we never saw him again until he brought us the check. Thankfully there was plenty of other staff that came to refill our water or ask how the food was because our waiter would’ve never known if we needed anything. Overall if you’re looking for a picturesque spot or Instagram worthy post go for a drink, save your money on the food.
The food is Polynesian/Thai. It was slightly above average and not competitive for the price. You are paying for the ambience but there are many better restaurants that offer tastier food than this at better price. I will not return.
I would definitely go back highly recommended
The music destroyed the entire experience, crazy loud and very bad.
We truly enjoyed our evening out at Jaya at the Setai. We had booked assuming we had the Miami Spice deal, and were informed that that is not the case since it was Labor Day weekend. To make up, we got a free bottle of champagne and free desserts. The food was excellent and the vibe was incredible.
Ecxelent service and food
Always outstanding brunch at the Setai. 10/10 recommend
Great food and service but the music to laud for a romantic dinner
The restaurant is absolutely beautiful! The ambiance and drinks were great but the food wasn’t ! The portions are extremely small and the food lacked good flavor.
Absolutely beautiful place. Food and atmosphere. Only one thing is the waiter was a little bit pushing us he reminded us at list 3 times : you have only 2.5 h per table . I do understand if we getting closer to the end and ordering more food but he did right in the beginning and 2 more times . Same waiter Meladin brought the check and told us that %22 gratuity doesn’t include his service . It didn’t ruin experience and we will come back but it gives bad taste . Maybe management doesn’t know that waiter has to us customers to get pay some 22% gratuity goes somewhere else?!?
Delicious and fresh food in a sophisticated and clean open space, superb service. A must in Miami Beach !!!
