Jaya at the Setai
My absolute favorite place to be on a Sunday
I would highly recommend it
Love love love Jaya! I come here every time I visit Miami. Sunday brunch did not disappoint. My friends were impressed, the service was amazing and the food was fantastic. Ashleigh was super attentive, friendly, fun and provided impeccable service. Thanks Jaya and Ashleigh, see you next time!
Great evening with a DJ and live music, amazing food and a great ambiance, sitting outside makes a world of a difference!
Amazing food and music. The ambiance was vibrant but relaxing. The Miami Spice menu is not to be missed.
The food and the ambiance is amazing! Would definitely recommend for a special occasion as it is a bit pricey.
Amazing show! Incredible food! Fantastic DJ playing a great mix of new pop electronic remixes and 70’s/80’s hit remixes. I’ve done 8 Miami Spice dinners so far this year and Jaya has been my favorite! 10/10 recommend.
So lovely I spend my birthday there and i really love it
Up charged $14 to have Chilean Sea Bass on Miami Spice menu which was really not good. We told the Manager about this as we had no more than one bite of the fish. They never bothered to remove it from the bill or do anything about it. Why the manager even bothered to ask about the meal amazes me, if he failed to take action. Certainly won’t be back. Waiter also had no personality. Not what one would expect at a high class restaurant. So many better places to spend money.
Great brunch options, reasonably attentive staff. Lovely jazz band playing and beautiful setting in the outdoor covered garden. Would highly recommend!
Service was impeccable and the place is absolutely stunning. My main issue with the night was that it felt like there were prices tacked on that no one cared to explain.
We were doing the Miami Spice menu and were expecting a certain price range of $100 max for our bill, then tip on that (which for us is a lot but we were celebrating a special occasion). When the bill came in it was almost $200 because we were charged for things that we didn’t realize we’d be charged for.... like a bottle of water when we asked for still water... which we didn’t even finish.
My issue wasn’t being charged as much as not having certain things explained to us so we can make those decision instead of having them be unfairly made for us. This by no means ruined our night nor did we say anything to the restaurant, we just left feeling slightly disappointed at being nickel and dimed. We had plans for drinks and other stuff after dinner that we ultimately decided to forgo because after that dinner we couldn’t really justify spending the extra money.
I understand it’s a high-end restaurant and that some of these things might’ve been obvious to someone who frequents them. I just hope that especially around Miami Spice time they realize that they have a lot of people who DONT know these things coming to try out the restaurant because it’s more affordable. Perhaps they can try a little harder to make sure their guests are on the same page.
That being said, we really did have a lovely time and the food was truly delicious. I’d recommend it to anyone along with a warning to be ready to spend x amount of extra money and to be sure to ask questions to make sure there are no surprises in the end. If you have a lot of money then obviously you’re fine and this doesn’t apply.
Delicious food and we were there during Miami spice so the entertainment was really good as well it was contortionist and people swinging from rings and Aerialsilk excellent Seabass
Went for Miami spice with my best friend and the food was amazing! We went on a Friday night and they put on a show with acrobats and fire ladies, was pretty cool! Ask to be seated outside in the courtyard, it’s beautiful but it may get a little hot. It gets a little loud with the DJ playing, I found myself screaming to my best friend to talk to her but the music was great and the lighting would change according to the songs being played which was amazing. Ambience was on point!
So delicious, we came here and ended up getting the Miami Spice menu. It was so yummy, the service was outstanding as well!
Overall experience was good. However we were expecting more delicacy in the dishes. The "berry" desert was nothing more than fruits, very good but disappointing considering the price and standards.
Very nice place but very expensive comparing quality and price
Really beautiful seating space. Excellent service. Would definitely go back.
Beautiful setting, both inside and outside. The outdoor setting has a lovely pool and is completely covered. The appetizers, though not unique, were fresh and light. The fish entree was wonderfully done, although a bit underseasoned. The lamb curry was outstanding. The service was attentive but not overbearing. Would return again to try more items on the menu!
We go at the Setai since many years, the ambiamce, service and food have aways been good. This time it was bad: first of all the service and the a/c amost not working. Food was nothing special.
Prices very high as always. Very disappointing!
This is what Sunday Brunch should be. It sets the standards to which other hotels should aspire. Excellent choice of food of excellent quality, superb serving staff with generous toppings of Louis Roederer champagne. You cannot get better than this, it's a superb experience!
The service was excellent. I had noted in my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and they very thoughtfully put a candle and wrote “happy birthday” in the dessert we ordered, which was such a nice and classy touch.
Family dinner, Birthday
Muy caro, además al otro día supimos que nos habían cargado la cuenta dos veces, tuvimos que volver al restaurante al otro día para arreglar el problema, un desagrado
Overall we enjoyed the food very much. Our only disappointment and shock was when we got the bill and the Manhattan my wife had ordered was billed as $34. I asked the waiter about this and he said oh well the rye they used whistle pig was expensive. First, I’ve never heard of a $34 Manhattan. Second anytime you’re going to serve a patron such an expensive drink to avoid a surprise and shock like we got you let them know in advance that there’s going to be a considerable up charge.
Wonderful family dinner.
Everything up to perfection
Amazing food and service! Went on a quiet night.
Fantastic, perfection in every aspect: amazing assortment of delicious food, great service, lovely setting. Will be going back a lot.
Had a great time! this place is just amazing and they have an excelent service.
Fabulous food. Service on the spot. Attention to details 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had an excellent experience at this restaurant! I would definitely go again.
The service was nothing short of amazing, all the servers and staff were friendly and very helpful. We were able to enjoy live music and it made everything perfect.
We had the Thai Seafood Salad, Dumpling Selection, Grouper, Pecking Duck, Pad Thai, Valrhona Cake, and Caribbean Rum Cake. Everything was impeccable and we couldn’t pick favourites because each dish was unique and brought something different to the table. We also had a chilli-passion martini and a Thai basil mojito, they came out so beautifully and tasted excellent.
Overall, we had an wonderful time and if you’re looking for a one of a kind experience and an exquisite meal, you should look no further than Jaya.
Great food and very professional and friendly service
Everything was wonderful!!
Love it. The experience and the service was very good. Nice to go with a group of friends to have a nice time
Excellent will be back
Nice ambience, very good food.
Fantastic I loved my waitress!
Best ambiance ever In Miami
Great atmosphere and tasty food. Service is spotty. Some tables get a free sampling at first and we didn’t. When I asked, I was told only certain tables get it.
I went to Jaya twice. Lunch time was great but dinner time did not like it. The attendant did not explained well the dishes and we ordered to much without combination
