The food is very good. The sommelier knows their business, great cocktails and drinks and ambiance is great... but the service is out of this world.
The service and the setting were outstanding - the atmosphere in the covered outdoor area is serene with a low noise level and very open area with high ceilings and a pond in the center surrounded by well spaced tables to create a very private feeling in a public space. The staff were attentive and friendly and provided excellent service without intruding on the dining experience. Lastly and most importantly, the food was excellent in quality and presentation.
Best restaurant in Miami!
Best food I’ve had this year! Great DJ!
Second dinner here. Returned as solo diner and was very taken care of. Greeted by hostess with a smile and she escorted me to great table outside. Service was very good. Manager even recognized it was my second visit and touched table. Thank you. I was happy I came back !
Was unable to process open table credit after three times of trying.
Gorgeous design, flavorful dishes, excellent service!
Best Peaking Duck in Miami! The ambiance, food, food service and cocktails were superb. Loved sitting outside in the atrium. Highly recommend for a quiet romantic date night dinner.
Order the duck and the sea bass.
Beautiful courtyard setting and the grouper curry was outstanding.
Horrible! From service to noise level to qualify of food- it was meant to be a celebration of my son’s birthday and we were totally disappointed. Will definitely not recommend, will definitely never coming back!
It was great. However my friend asked for no mushrooms on his entree and the request was ignored
We had a reservation at Jaya a couple of days ago and it was by far one of the best restaurants in Miami we had the pleasure to dine in.
The ambiance is extraordinary and I am profoundly impressed by the way the whole space was designed. More than just a dining experience it was a relaxing environment that elevated the entire evening to a whole new level of excellence. We were very pleased with the service, food quality and presentation.
The deserts are exquisite, delicious culinary masterpieces, very beautifully executed and refined taste.
My family and I are looking forward to return to Jaya at the Setai.
We were recommended this restaurant and the food was good, although small portions for the price. The service was the worst I have ever witnessed.
The hostess was very rude and made us wait over 30 min for a table I had reserved. It was my birthday celebration with my grandmother who is disabled. We had to wait outside for too long after making a reservation. She said 10 min wait which was ok. But that turned to 30 min. And when I asked her about the table she was very rude and pointed to it instead of showing us to the table. Horrible treatment. I even said hi to my buddy Dave Grumman at the bar he saw me waiting for so long for a table. Extremely disappointed after coming here for years.
Excelente restaurant /hotel. Impecable service!
The Setai remains one of the coolest and best run high-end hotels in the world. Quality food, wine and service in a stylish contemporary environment - I love it. Haven’t been there for 4 years but fresh as ever and so classy.
The service was slow and the staff not friendly at all.Disaapointed
The food was very good but the service wasn’t up to the standard as you would expect from a restaurant this expensive. It might have to do with the fact that 20% tip is automatically added to the check.
This place has a wonderful ambience and great service. Food is too pricey for what they serve.
I have been going often and bring many friends, Arrived early, Disappointed
;( Waited over 1hour for a table, Went for the Duck and was sold out, Also other items where sold out.
Ambiance & Show was great.
We had a wonderful experience. Food was amazing, service was great
Have enjoyed Sunday brunch there and went back with friends for a Friday night dinner. We were all extremely disappointed. We waited a very long time for our entrees and was told be the maitre d that there was a delay in the kitchen and he then asked if we would like to enjoy more wine while we waited. The implication being it was complimentary due to the wait. Well, it was not. My entree, the poached chicken was beyond mediocre, it came with 2 sauces and still had no flavor whatsoever. Everyone else felt the same about there dishes, the one thing we did enjoy, the short rib dumplings.
Must do when in Miami. Loved the Sea Bass Tilka and Thali. Glad the portions were not too small. Wine selection was good.
Did not know it was a special holiday menu that was quite different from the standard menu. Food was good, but not exceptional. Music was extremely loud. Service was fair. Very disappointed.
It was Christmas and the menu was limited. But nevertheless...we were excited to be there. It's beautiful, and a pleasure to be in the gorgeous inside/outside paradise. I'm a travel writer, and was anxious to see and taste what I had heard about Jaya. The service was abhorrent. Really bad. We literally had no service, and twice had to ask a bus boy to get our waiter. At one point, the waiter actually forgot what we had ordered. Oh well. A disappointment...but perhaps we'll try again sans the disconnected waiter, and the holiday.
I visited for dinner on Christmas Eve and there were a trio of carol singers who sang at each table in turn - such a lovely idea and it made the experience even more special.
Service was delightful and the food faultless.
The food was amazing. Lauren and the rest of the staff were very attentive and helpful in providing options for our dietary restrictions.
The outside setting is beautiful, too bad the food is nothing special.
The food was amazing and portions were very filling. The “thali” and dumplings were exceptional
Our server was attentive and even got me a cashmere wrap because I was cold. Their wine list is extensive and well priced.
We all agreed that this was one of the most beautiful restaurants we have ever been in. The food and service were all first class. A must go to place if you are in Miami Beach.
I absolutely love the place except for one thing it’s too cold & windy .
We have been to the Setai before, and loved it. This time was not quite so enjoyable.
Our waiter was very good. The sea bass with tamarind sauce was excellent.
The thali was lack luster. No real vegetable. Could easily have included cauliflower, eggplant, okra or even potatoes.
The ‘Raita’ was plain yogurt, would have expected at least some flakes of cucumber in it to qualify as raita. Daal was Luke warm.
Naan bread was excellent.
What really detracted from the experience, was some one in the open kitchen was continuously calling back the orders - (into a microphone) we were not close to the kitchen, but could hear him loud and clear.
Not what we expected for our occasion, certainly not at the Setai. Very strange experience. We would have thought one of the managers floating around would have noticed and done something about it.
We had a nice time but doubt I would go back.
First the bad: Front reception was not particularly pleasant nor friendly, the wait staff that backed up the waiter were not well trained or very professional nor did they have much understanding of English. and our waiter had too many tables to be as effective as one might hope (although she was very nice and professional), the noise level was extremely LOUD which I don't mind but I had some older people with us and they could barely stand it, and on three occasions other waiters tried to deliver food to our table that was for another table which does get very annoying. The place in general needs much better management.
The good: The pool room is very beautiful and the atmosphere is an "up", our sashimi was delicious, and the food in general was very good. And I found the pricing to be fair for the quality.
Our main waiter did a nice job when we could get her attention and she accommodated a special request from one of our guests....and when one dish was delivered incorrectly, she corrected it very quickly.
In general, we had a nice time but it was filled with little annoyances throughout the experience which left most in my party feeling no need to return.
the food was excellent. the lobster in green curry was absolutely amazing.
the mushroom dumpling was outstanding.
the service was terrible. Our busboy didn't speak. I couldn't anyone to remove an empty water bottle. Empty glasses were also left on the table.
I highly recommend this restaurant for the food not for the service.
Great experience. I look forward to going back. Servers were attentive, food was great and ambiance was wonderful.
Jaya is not only the best restaurant in Miami/South Beach, it would rank as a top Pan-Asian restaurant in Chicago, San Francisco, LA or NYC.
The mix of Thai, Indonesian, Indian, Japanese and Chinese cuisine is unparalleled. We enjoyed a virtual tour of Asia with delicate chive/mushroom dumplings, Indian Naan Breads with Jaya’s signature “addictive” Cashew sauce, a wonderful encrusted Sea Bass served on a heated cage, stunning duck fried rice, and wok veggies.
Dining options include casual bar-side or table-side dining in the open kitchen featuring a fascinating mix of Asian work stations, or an elegant dining room or the stunning outdoor atrium with dining booths and tables circling the massive sculpture fountain for a romantic evening or celebration.
Service is top notch. Our server Gretchen guided us through choices based on our taste preferences and knew the details of each dish. The managers visited over the course of the evening to unobtrusively check in.
Jaya is a great choice for a fun casual exploration of the unique cuisines offered or a more elegant night out, in either case best topped off by exiting through the beach entrance to a stroll along the oceanfront promenade.
We had the truffle dumping and thali. thal was good and truffle dumpling was ok. Overall the service was outstanding.
Awesome dining experience. Truly exquisite ambiance w great service. I has peeking duck w shrimp fried rice; it was perfect.
Brunch was great
