Really enjoyed our dinner. The rubbed shrimp appetizer was delicious, salads fresh and seafood cooked perfectly. Our waitress was really busy but maintained attention to us. She was very pleasant. Drinks were good. Some of the decor/atrwork needs to be updated.
All four of us were completely happy with our entrees. The shrimp and clams over spaghetti, the duck with bread pudding and the chicken over the beet salad. All were excellent. It is very difficult during these COVID times to find a restaurant this good. We will be back.
It was a very delightful evening and food was great!!!
We go to Jarrettown every Christmas Eve. It’s become a tradition that we look forward to. We’re never disappointed. The staff is exceptionally nice, the atmosphere is so pretty and the food is great!
One word DELICIOUS!
Great food and service
First time at Jarrettown Hotel. Food was great! Definitely will be back!
We had not been back to the Jarrettown Hotel for a couple of years and we found everything to be excellent. The food and service were excellent. they had live entertainment we will definitely go back
We went here for our 31st anniversary. We come here around 5 or six times a year, Covid allowing. The owner greeted us at the hostess stand and congratulated us on our anniversary. We chatted a bit about things as he walked us to what has become our favorite table with a view of the musician who was playing some Billy Joel, and doing it very well. The server was very attentive, knowledgeable, and personable. The food was excellent, though next time I’ll ask for the sauces on the side with the Calamari tempura since they were overly generous with the wasabi. :-)
The grouper was great. It’s my go to if there isn’t a special that peaks my interest. My wife had the clams casino which she loved and the Veal Jarrettown which she also enjoyed. No room for dessert, but in the past this was tasty.
An excellent experience from start to finish.
Always a great experience
Very good and awesome server.
Noisy! Server was lovely but had to scream. Food was good.
Looked for a good place between our house and our friends house and this was it. Wasn’t aware of it prior and we now a great place to meet.
The bar area is beautiful and the Christmas decorations made it very warm and inviting. Had drinks at the bar while waiting for our table.
Although not socially distanced, there was plenty of space between tables for us to feel comfortable.
Our waitress was so sweet and the service was fantastic without feeling rushed. The worst part of our entire evening was trying to decide what to order. After hearing the specials, it was even more difficult.
All of us were very happy with our dinners (lamb, seafood fra Diablo and veal parmx2). Everything was so fresh and we took home leftovers. For dessert we had apple cobbler to share and someone ordered gelato. We were not disappointed with any of our choices.
We will definitely be back to try more of the goodies on the menu. We were so busy enjoying ourselves that the only picture I took was of my glass of wine.
We celebrated our birthdays. The food was good. The waitress was very nice but very harried.
We had not been to JH since before the pandemic and glad we went back. Everything about our experience was fantastic. They seem to have kept their prices down too which surprised me.
I don’t have to rush back
Wait staff was friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious. I had the lobster bisque and Jarrettown with veal. The bisque was creamy with plenty of lobster. Pasta is amazing.Great value for the price. Very affordable. The noise level is high - the only drawback.
None of the staff was masked. Just downright rude given the situation with the COVID pandemic. Spacing between tables was good and we felt safe there, but when staff came to our table without masks we did not feel safe. I mean really, if they're not wearing masks, who actually can trust that they wash after using the restroom. This is not political, it's a matter of public health.
The food was fabulous and the desserts were amazing I had a wonderful evening’s
Excellent food and service! Was a little noisy last night but otherwise wonderful as always
The booth are to tight to sit comfortably. The dinning area is way too noisy to hold a conversation. Service is spotty at best; server nearly forget you; almost disappear; most requests has to be repeated.
Food is mediocre; and, bit on the expensive side.
We enjoyed the delicious sweet onion soup and the beet and goat cheese salad! Looking forward to dinning there again!
service and good was exceptional. haven’t been there in awhile and don’t know why not! really really good
On our reservation, I noted 65th Birthday; there was no acknowledgement of this which really suprised me. That said, our appetizers were very good; calamari and eggplant rollatini (delicious). My 3 children enjoyed your specialty beer selection. Everyone was happy with their entrees; both burger selections, scallops daily special, seafood special starter (as an entree) and house special. Although our waitress was very nice, it was difficult to get her attention. I have a feeling she was serving many tables and was doing the best she could. I had been here many, many years ago, probably a previous owner, and also a couple of years ago pre-Covid for lunch and really enjoyed the food. We will definitely be back.
Great service and delicious food
Always good food and service. Noise level is lower as you sit further from the bar.
I had one of the specials for dinner. I wish I could remember the full description. It was Pistachio crusted Wild White Bass (I think) with Butternut Squash Quinoa and a pear puree. I never had it before or seen on any other menu. It was Outstanding! Flavorful, Amazing. This wasn't my first time at Jarrettown, and it won't be my last.
We had a delicious dinner. Entertainment was great n drinks were good. After dinner we went back to the bar for cocktails. Great time
Outside dining was pleasent. Food was very good and any food served that we saw looked very good. Will be back.
Are lunch indoors with friends in a horrible rainy day. Waitress was friendly, food was delicious. We weren't rushed and enjoyed a delectable lunch special: fried green tomatoes stacked with crab salad.
Really enjoyed dinner. Everything was cooked to perfection. My only complaint would be when they wanted to take my plate when I simply put my fork down for a couple of minutes. 😂. Dinner was delicious
Lovely patio, good service, delicious foof
We enjoyed the lovely outdoor patio seating. Our meals were delicious and the our server was great. An added feature is music on Saturday night. We would definitely return.
Overall good. Caesar salad was disappointing-romaine lettuce was warm and dressing was run of the mill. The chocolate soufflé was not a soufflé-it was a cupcake with chocolate sauce inside.
Food was delicious. Live entertainment was good. Enjoyable night sitting outside.
