At Jane, the menu showcases an affinity for local ingredients with what New York magazine calls “cleverly tweaked but unpretentious American cuisine.” To complement the food, Jane offers a well chosen wine list and seasonally driven cocktails.
Jane is the sister restaurant to Sarabeth's Restaurants and Docks Oyster Bar.

Always great service
Great food. Decent service. Seemed to lack managerial oversight or much process. Had to wait 5 minutes for coffee (you shouldn’t run out of coffee at breakfast time). Music inappropriate (naughty) and way too loud for breakfast. Other table asked them to turn it down. Great food.
Came to Jane’s after a movie on Sunday. Reservations were for 2:45, but we got there earlier and were able to be seated. We all ordered the seafood Cobb salad and all were more than satisfied. We also had a side of buttermilk muffins, which were excellent. Waiter was both friendly and attentive. The combination of all these aspects of the lunch made this a very enjoyable event.
We got the vanilla bean french toast and the heuvos rancheros. It honestly wasn't worth it for the price and amount of food we got. The food wasn't special but wasn't bad either
The service was excellent but the food has definitely gone downhill since our last visit.
Got a cozy corner table. Very good service and the menu choices were plentiful. The vanilla French toast was an excellent selection.
Disappointing. We were seated next to a table that was not wiped clean. First bad impression. We were seated at 6:01pm and happy hour ended at 6:00pm. The waiter told me that the button wouldn't work. If I was the waiter I would have asked the Manager to possibly assist and make me happy. We had calamari appetizer which we liked. The steak was good but they could have put a few vegetables on the plate with the steak. The steak sauce was gross. The salad was alright.
Felt like I could get the same quality of food for a quarter of the price at a diner
Just wasn’t amazing
The food was really bad and no one enjoyed his brunch. The environment wasn’t nice as they made us sit downstairs which wasn’t nice at all. I won’t visit this place again.
Thursday night at 8pm, the place was very quiet... almost too quiet. The hostess seated my friend, I walked in 5 minutes later and said I was meeting someone and named the same reservation, and she seated me in a separate place. Aggravating. The service was so-so, they seemed a bit disorganized and our server didn't know what one of the items named in an entree was -- had to go back in the kitchen to find out. The food was good to very good, it has a nice small bar, and the location is amazing. But I suspect the service is what's killed it. Good for a quiet meal, it was pretty empty, unfortunately.
They were busy and the service suffered. It was very loud. The food, as always, was good.
I ordered French Toast and Jane Egg Benedict. The Fresh Toast was very delicious!
Liked the eggs benedict...very well prepared. Polite staff. Asked for a Bellini and it was ok. My only complains are that i did not like the type of glass in with my tap beer was served and as soon as i said a didn t want dessert, the waiter delivered the check. I don t know if is a routine in America, but i was hoping to have 1 or 2 more drinks before leaving, and felt impeled to free my seat. Loved the clean aspect of the decoration and the music choice during brunch. A little pricy, but the place justifies the cost. Would recommend to a friend, but probably would prefer to get to know other similar restaurants before return.
Not as good as usual. I had the tuna tacos; too sweet! My friend had the cauliflower; also too sweet. In fact it tasted like the same sauce in both—out of a jar. Jane, don’t do this to your fans!
Great food and cocktails. Excellent service, laid back afternoon. Love this neighborhood spot. Wish the shishito peppers were still on the menu though 😩
Great place to enjoy Sunday brunch with family!! Busy but service was quick and efficient. Loved the Seafood Cobb Salad!!!!! Can’t wait to go back!
Jane is our favorite place for Sunday brunch. We are from out of town yet look forward to their pitchers of mimosas and biscuits. The menu has something for everyone.
The service staff was extremely nice but extremely neglectful and paid little to no attention to detail. We were the only party in the restaurant on a Thursday lunch and it took over 45 minutes to flag someone down to ask for our check
We had a lovely dinner. There were teens with us and they had an ample choice of foods. I will certainly return.
They seated 2 of us just before the 3rd person arrived. Excellent food & very nice. A bit crowded & noisy.
The food and service was very good
Jane is always my go-to brunch spot when I am hosting family and friends from out of town. Food is always delicious, and service is always friendly and courteous. It just never disappoints!
A friend was in town from Atlanta .. on business
She enjoyed her meal.. thankfully.
I have been a customer at Jane for years.
For me, I think the food is slipping a little. I’m sad to say.
Service was great.
great, interesting, fresh food. quality cocktails. A nice respite in The Village.
I had been to Jane for brunch once and decided to try it for dinner. The menu was diverse enough for everyone in our group while also not having an excessive amount of choices. Everything was well presented. Everyone in our party was very happy with their meals. We did mention we had a birthday in the group so a candle in her dessert would have been nice but not a biggie.
Weekend brunch is too crowded and noisy for our tastes. We prefer weekday lunch, dinner and Happy Hour when it’s more of a neighborhood crowd. Food is good... not outstanding but always good.
Weekend brunch is probably best for younger people who can stand the noise.
Everything was fantastic with brunch other than the buttermilk biscuits being a tasteless disappointment.
We went at 9AM on a Sunday and were seated right away. The food was delicious. I had the huevos rancheros, which was surprisingly not as heavy and greasy as the ones I've had most places. Had good reviews, so we wanted to try it and it was great for brunch. Didn't get to try their avocado toast, but I would imagine it's good. Overall good experience. No complaints.
Really enjoyed it!
Food was fine but service was terrible. The didn’t seem to want to refill cups or even bring the bill.
Jane was my go to brunch place but now I feel like it is overpriced for the small portions and without a complimentary cocktail included.
This place was lackluster and the service was under par - both tables next to us were serviced multiple times/checked-in on, while we were forgotten. It was busy, however, we noticed more attention paid to all customers surrounding us.
My food was cold and congealed (the egg was gelatinous) - I had the salmon benedict and it tasted like it had been sitting out for a while, as the egg had also overcooked/hardened (did not ooze as it should).
The place is pretty nice setting-wise, but for the price/value, quality of food & service, I'd recommend there are a TON more places in the Village to go to for Sunday brunch.
It took our food a very long time to come. The couple who sat next to us about 10 min after we ordered received their food first and once our food arrived it was not hot.
I went there my kids. Service was good though food took some time to come - mostly because my son ordered the cheeseburger I guess, since there were tables next to us who got their food much earlier.
Food was ok overall - the burger was bland and the burger buns were overdone / charred. Probably an ok choice for brunch if you’re in the neighborhood but it wouldn’t be a strong recommendation from me.
It was a lovely lunch. The staff - most pleasant and accommodating; the food - nice selection, beautifully presented and delicious. We shared sashimi tacos, shishito peppers and mussels - a perfect combination; cocktails - creative, delicious and great price. Nice wine list. A reunion lunch over several hours and no-one rushed us. A neighborhood gem staffed by nice people, with great food and drinks - doesn't get much better than this.
The services was terrible. The waitress did not pick up well on cues and when to check in on the table. She also incorrectly charged my credit card for someone else's table then forgot to give me my credit card back. They were barely apologetic for the inconvenience and lack of service.
The restaurant was also a ghost town, more than half of the tables were empty, which makes the service being bad even worse.
Noisy and unpleasant. Crappy elevator music drowned out by customers shouting at each other over small portions of unappetizing and overpriced "food". This so-called restaurant should be sued for false advertising, the venue bears no resemblance to what is flogged on the website. AVOID!
I'm the general manager of several restaurants in NYC, the following is just my opinion of what I experienced. Service was very slow and not communicative. The hostess team is terrible, and the servers were just trying as best they could. Not listed appropriately in terms of price, should be listed at $$$ instead of $$. Drinks weren't the best and were overpriced. The dessert was good, eggs were poured from a carton not fresh :( Overall it was ok. Glad to have went, do not need to repeat. Was almost comical that the kitchen was faster than the servers or the bar.
Great neighborhood spot! Gracious staff...healthy menu with creative options. Im gluten and dairy free and loved the kale salad and salmon!
