At Jane, the menu showcases an affinity for local ingredients with what New York magazine calls “cleverly tweaked but unpretentious American cuisine.” To complement the food, Jane offers a well chosen wine list and seasonally driven cocktails.

Had a really lovely breakfast with my family. My french toast was delicious - though heard the fried chicken sandwich was a bit unseasoned. Had some good morning cocktails, too. Service was okay - a bit slow and missed a few items.
Went there for brunch after seeing a few social media influencers hype it up. Highly highly disappointed. I ordered the eggs Benedict worst eggs Benedict I’ve had in my life and I’ve had plenty. Eggs were undercooked and cold. The biscuit it came on was flavorless with a spring mix thrown on the side. My daughter had a standard breakfast two eggs fried (again cold) a chicken sausage that tasted super old and flavorless breakfast potatoes. To say the least too many goid brunches out there to ever come back and yes oh so pricey for no reason. To add to the bad good terrible service as well. Don’t go and waste your money
We are from Baltimore and love visiting Jane when in New York. We were wondering how it would be as this was our first visit post pandemic and it did not disappoint!
We had a reservation and we were seated upon arrival even though we were a bit early. The service was stellar as always and the cocktails were delicious and imaginative.
I have never had “just a burger” at Jane, always opting for something more involved. I am so happy I went for the Jane Burger. It was moist and perfectly cooked medium rare as I requested. The sautéed onions and jalapeño marmalade elevated this burger to the next level!
I look forward to my next meal at Jane when we are back in town! I may have a hard time not choosing the burger again!
Great place for lunch. They do a happy hour during lunch which is a great deal.
The food was fine but the service was rushed and it made us feel unwelcome. It was a quiet Sunday night and most of the tables were empty. It was obvious our server wanted to get out of work early. Drinks were removed before we were quite finished with them. Plates were cleared when not all of us were done eating. The check was dropped on the table without checking to see if we wanted anything else. What should have been the perfect place for a quiet meal between friends who hadn't seen each other in a long time was instead an experience that became more uncomfortable as it went on.
We made reservation for 1 pm and till 1:40 pm we were still waiting in the crowds. The receptionists even asked us to agree on finishing the meal before 2:30. While we were waiting, we saw many other groups who made reservations but not able to be seated and let alone walk-in ppl. Although receptionists apologizes couple times but it’s certainly unacceptable. Every time they said to wait for another 2 mins for cleaning tables but we actually had to wait for another 10 mins and asked them again about the table. And what’s next is still waiting. The food was okay and not nicely put together.
Wow what an experience this restaurant was amazing. The food was outstanding and possibly one of the best meals I have ever had..It was a special occasion for me and they made an exceptional effort to make my day beautiful and succeeded with flying colours. Thank-you so much to the staff.
All of the dishes we ordered were terrific, from the Tuna Tartare Tacos, to the Grilled Octopus and Kale Salad. Wonderful flavors, and the perfect amount to share between two people. Would definitely go back again.
Ugly restaurant. Too many tables crammed in there. Our table was literally 2 inches from the table to our left and 6 inches from the table to our right.
Tuna tacos were excellent, popover solid, and proportions generous. Service was perfect- quick, not pushy, very pleasant. Decor is plain but functional. Only complaint: I wish they had let us know happy hour drinks are made with well liquor and given us a choice to pay the uptick for better quality (resulting headache not worth the redux in price). Overall I had a great time.
Great brunch spot. All the classics can be found on their brunch menu, would highly recommend their “Big Salad”, which, unlike most NYC restaurants, are actually big. Very attentive staff and a great Bloody Mary top off a successful brunch
Lovely spot for dinner. Short rib was especially delicious!
We walked in, waited 20 minutes and no server came to us. The place looked old and very used. Health code was a B and it seems everyone who has gone recently has said it’s no longer a good restaurant which is too bad. There are so many other good places around.
Brunch at Jane is a prerequisite every time I’m in Manhattan. The French toast is beyond and the egg dishes are fabulous. The energy is great as is the service.
The tables are too close together. I was claustrophobic sitting on the banquette. The food was fine but not memorable at all for the price. Service was a bit curt.
Very disappointed in the service throughout the night. We did not have a good experience from the check-in, bar, or the waitstaff. It seemed like there was a real lack of training based on how things went all night. Nobody was rude or inattentive but lots of little things were missed throughout the night.
My wife liked her food very much and would probably go back. My pork chop arrived overcooked in some spots and very undercooked in others. The vegetables were stone cold as well. Not sure what happened.
Great food and service
This is a great restaurant for groups! The food was delicious and had good sharing options with the appetizers and market vegetables.
Very disappointed with our experience. We have been to Jane several times in the past and it was always a pleasurable experience. This time there were only 2 other tables filled and this was
At 8 pm. For long periods ata time there were no service people to be seen on the floor. The food was not at
All god and not at all as we remembered.
Excellent food. Good service. Reasonable prices. Will definitely go back.
We sat in the basement with a draft that made it incredibly cold. My friend had to wear gloves. We were one seat short and we had to get our own seat. It took a long time to have someone take our order and for our drinks to come. On the other hand the drinks were great!
Place is clean and quiet...waiter was really polite.
I went with my wife for valentine day and whole experience was great, specially for ambience...but food for dinner menu should be better...
The food are good! I love the fried calamari, very fresh and tasty! The mushroom bolognese was delicious! It was pretty quite that night with dim lights, it’s a perfect place for dating!
Great food & atmosphere! Would definitely recommend
I totally over estimated this restaurant. Food was not as good as the reviews said, everything was just normal. Besides, the server asked if we want to start with the bread basket but didn't mention we have to pay for it! Some of the brunch places I went in the past offered free bread. Actually it turned out that the bread basket costs $10!!?? Although the portion was ok, I truly didn't feel anything special about this place. We drove from New Jersey to eat at Jane but felt super disappointed! Never come again and will not recommend Jane to others.
Great dinner for three, perfect noise level, excellent service, delicious beverages, just what we needed, Thank YOU!
The food was good but the restaurant is not very nice
It was our birthday
Noise levels very high.. but typical of a lot of restaurants in the city. Food was good but not coming back for it for sure! Menu choice was good.
Very packed restaurant.. and tight seating spot.
Thank- you! But not my favorite NYC spot!
We loved everything about our meal. Highly recommend it.
Went on a week day for lunch/brunch. The coffee and food was not as great as it is hyped up to be. I had the classic eggs Benedict and it was very average and a small portion. Some of the other items from other tables looked better thought. Service was kind and attentive but overall an okay experience.
Burgers are delicious. Wait staff was good. Might not hurt for the hostess to be a bit friendlier.
Very busy Sunday brunch. Service and food were good. Make reservations!
The restaurant was packed and I still had to wait despite having a reservation. There isn’t much waiting space so many parties were waiting in the middle of the dining area (not quite ideal for the servers). The food was ok - my friend got the chicken sandwich, which although had many delicious additions, the chicken itself was under seasoned. We also found a stray hair in the middle of the sandwich. The servers were extremely attentive and returned the sandwich, apologized profusely, and offered us something else on the menu free of charge. Although I won’t be back for the food, the staff made the experience quite pleasant.
We certainly enjoyed our brunch and the food was quite good. I only give 5 stars for truly extraordinary food and to be honest I can’t say it was but it was certainly very good! The crab cake part of the Eggs Benedict was disappointing and my only negative of the meal. The short ribs hash was very good the French toast excellent. The cocktails we’re delicious and the service exceptional. We were grateful that in what was a crazy busy restaurant at the time we were seated almost immediately and according to our reservation. We will definitely be back to try the dinner menu.
Good time good food
I did not enjoy my dish at all. I got pasta with veal ragu and it just was not good. There was no red sauce, which was strange and it was very liquidy and looked gross.
Wonderful food but too expensive.
Amazing Bloody Mary, great service, perfect Brunch spot
Food was excellent . Our server Eric was great . Only negative is that the bar service was long
