At Jane, the menu showcases an affinity for local ingredients with what New York magazine calls “cleverly tweaked but unpretentious American cuisine.” To complement the food, Jane offers a well chosen wine list and seasonally driven cocktails.
Jane is the sister restaurant to Sarabeth's Restaurants and Docks Oyster Bar.

Not the best place in town
We had a beautiful dinner with friends! Great drinks, great food. We had a lovely time
Very convenient to Angelika Cinema, and early reservation for us best table. Paella is incredible, chicken good, flourless chicken. cake mediocre. Good wine list. Service was great
Pretty good! But one of my favorite dish which is the yoghurt granola (the best I’ve ever had) has been moved from the new menu. Hope it will come back soon!
Jane has changed. It was a trendy cool place to have brunch w locals but now it’s mainly a bunch of tourists from the country. Older population, mainly older women celebrating their 50th birthday type groups. The food is ok. Service was fine but when it gets busy be ready to wait for drinks and food. It’s no NYC brunch place anymore.
I was really disappointed. The decor and the food were so very mediocre.
Pasta was served below room temperature. Also, was over seasoned. Bread wasn’t warm. Server never checked back to see how I was doing— had to get up and walk over to server to get the check. Wasn’t a great experience.
A quiet night with a cozy booth for a book club meeting. This place works for us , and they are very tolerant of our quirks, like happy hour drinks and eating lots of appetizers. A lovely neighborhood place to retreat to.
Convenient spot for brunch if you live or have plans in the area. My friend and I split the Eggs Benedict and French Toast. Both delicious and more than enough food for both us! The carafes of Bellinis/Mimosas, while not bottomless, are not a bad value either! Would recommend and go back again.
The restaurant was a fun and young crowd which was nice but the service was mediocre and the food was average. For the price it’s a good spot, but I could barely hear the person across the table from me
Upscale atmosphere. Great service and food, surprised us with a yummy desert to celebrate a birthday!
we had a really lovely brunch here... I'm not one to order eggs Benedict but I saw it was on homemade biscuits so I tried it... delicious!!!!
We were there in mid afternoon so it was quiet. Considering how few tables were occupied the service just ok. They seemed determined not to look our way when we tried to get their attention. Food was decent, but nothing special. Not sure I'd return.
Food and service was great! Thought it would be crazy because it was New years eve. Place was packed but everything well organized! look forward to trying brunch sometime
Best New Years Eve dinner ever
Absolutely the worst service I have ever had dining out in my life. The restaurant was practically empty, more waitstaff than tables, our waitress abandoned our table after taking our entree order. I attempted to gain her attention several times to order another drink during dinner but gave up. We had to ask another waiter for a dessert menu, flag down the hostess to place the order and then waited a ridiculous amount of time to be served. When dessert arrived we asked for the check, had to wait another interminable amount of time and finally the hostess brought it. We paid the check, collected our things and walked out. We saw our “waitress” through the outside window, who we had not looked at our table since the order was taken, walk right over and to grab the check as soon as we left. Horrible and uncomfortable dining experience. Never again.
Great brunch choice!! The Seafood Cobb Salad is AMAZING!!! Burgers are good, fries are delish. Great option for the area. EXCELLENT coffee!
Good food! Nice atmosphere.
We were old customers who loved the restaurant. Haven't been there for several years. First of all, there was dirty silverware on the table. We were always given a complimentary cocktail at Brunch. No longer. Beautiful basket of delicious bread was always placed on the table. Instead a single slice of unbuttered, very commercial, supermarket bread was placed on my plate. The quality of the meal was diner level . The price was not diner level. I will not go back.
Nice, easy brunch experience with some friends. Everything was tasty, service was on par and ambiance was nice. Would definitely recommend & return.
Everything was great, just a bit pricey.
Great for gathering with friends and or family! The vanilla bean French toast was awesome! We also had the asparagus omelet and egg white omelet which were good. Service was excellent - our waitress, cannot recall her name but remembered she has red hair, was awesome!
Good solid food and nice atmosphere
This is a lovely restaurant. It is pretty and comfortable. The sweet and sour cauliflower was delicious.
Brunch was fabulous. My family loved it. I had the best steak salad I have ever had!
The best truffle gnocchi!
The food was great and service during brunch was very efficient. Would definitely recommend and dine again!
Food and service are simply outstanding
Great amazing food and knowledgeable waitstafff
Food sucked for brunch. Got the huevos rancheros. Wow I thought this place would be much better based off the wait but it’s truly one of those tired places in nyc. Change the menu and do something different.
Great experience!! Food and service was excellent! Will definitely go back
Food was poor - steak small and overcooked
Service not good enough - unlikely to go back and feels like restaurant is on last legs
Brussel sprouts, cauliflower and calamari to start then avocado and goat cheese sandwich with a side of bacon, all washed down with Malbec and Pino Grigio - perfect lunch to share with a bestie! Look forward to next visit.
Wonderful staff, food and drinks
Food was mediocre
Food was nothing special for the price point. Service was spotty at best during a time that wasn't very busy (about an hour before the major brunch rush). Ambiance is fine. They did surprisingly split the check which almost never happens in the city so that was nice.
We had a great brunch at Jane! Food and service were wonderful. It was a little cramped but it's NYC so not unusual.
Food was great and the service was attentive, even though the place was packed. But our table was practically in the front door—actually, one chair was almost in the doorway—and there was no effort to keep people waiting for their tables clear of the entryway space, so the friends who were on the outside of the table were contending with people hovering over them or even knocking in to them. If the diners didn't have the good sense to respect the space, the staff should have stepped in but didn't.
Here’s what we left saying “It took really long for those entrees based on NY standards” and “why was it so hard to get more bread while we were waiting?” and “did you notice how the waiter never checked in on us?” Good steady menu with average service on this cold, rainy night. Due to the general lack of attendance of the wait staff - we will not be returning.
Awesome place! Food was excellent and service was top notch. Great for casual dining, will definitely go back again.
