At Jane, the menu showcases an affinity for local ingredients with what New York magazine calls “cleverly tweaked but unpretentious American cuisine.” To complement the food, Jane offers a well chosen wine list and seasonally driven cocktails.
Jane is the sister restaurant to Sarabeth's Restaurants and Docks Oyster Bar.

Loud. Crowded. But totally worth it. The food was fantastic.
I had an amazing item off their specials menu, a short beef hash with eggs and potatoes. Was pretty amazing. Also the Southern boy in me couldn't resist trying trying a buttermilk biscuit. Lively Sunday brunch crowd with at least a 45 minute wait during peak times. Recommend making a reservation first.
Great food. Good location. 🥘🥗
We enjoyed our dinner here. The food was very good, as was the service.
The place was very crowded but with a reservation we got our choice of where to sit. They even checked our stroller. The food was very good. A little pricy for two eggs and a salad. But hey. The french toast were very good. The service was excellent. I'd say my only complaint was my seat in the booth was so close to the table for two directly behind me that I could hear their conversation louder that the one at my own table. But overall, it was excellent.
We had to rush and make a show and the waiter couldn’t have been nicer. He got our meals for us in record time with excellent advice on what to order. The chicken dish was flavorful and moist! The seafood salad was a very good portion and delicious. The last guest had a Mediterranean salad that was superb. Will definitely return
Mussels not fresh. Food below par. Servers were very nice and accommodating, but food’s just not good.
Not worth the wait at all. Even with a reservation, we waited 30+ minutes for our table with only the barest acknowledgement of the inconvenience. And then when we were seated, the food was only okay. I definitely wouldn't recommend it, especially given the plentiful other options in the city.
My food was cold. I did not send it back but I was disappointed this time around.
Calamari, cauliflower and artichoke hearts were as usual - delicious. Smoked salmon and Avocado & goat cheese sandwiches also fresh and delicious. Chronic problem is with the fries - as on previous visits had to send back because they were not hot. They are among my favourite fries in the city but they must be hot! Decent wine for Happy Hour. Service so so. But I'll still go back, lovely relaxing place when not too busy.
Awesome food!! Not great service. Wouldn’t make a boozy brunch out of it but it’s a good spot
Overpriced for what it is. Service good and friendly, food and cocktails were not great.
We walked 15 minutes to go to Jane for lunch from our hotel because the write-up was good. It wasn't special in any way. In fact, the service was so bad, it ruined our experience.
My husband asked for the steak salad. The waitress checked a second time on how the steak should be cooked. After a very long wait, he was served steak frites. There was never an apology and she never checked on us. My salad was served without dressing. The food was fine, but we basically felt ignored. Our waitress never came back at all, so we had to ask another server for the check. Why bother with Jane?
The food was canteen-level quality but the price was for restaurant quality food. Wine by the glass is a mean size, but a large price. If you order a rare steak it will come cooked medium well. My son ordered his medium well, he was served burnt meat. Our waiter was polite, cheery and attentive. Overall disappointing.
A lovely discovery for dining in Greenwich Village. Simple but excellently presented and prepared food.
A NEIGHBORHOOD FAVORITE. The food is good although we all miss THE FRIED CHICKEN OPTION VERY VERY MUCH! VERY MUCH! BRING THIS BACK!!!!!!!!! The Staff is always terrific and charming. Continues to be a go-to BUT BRING BACK THAT FRIED CHICKEN OPTION ONE DAY A WEEK! Please!
Food was really outstanding, ambiance good and good service. I would come again.
I ordered mussels and about 7 shells were empty and two didn’t open.
Kale salad with sunny side up eggs was delicious! Avocado toast was too spicy and lacked flavor. Eggs Benedict was good. Busy on Sunday morning so make a reservation.
Would eat again
I saw paella on the menu and got excited and ordered it. It was a mistake. Otherwise, everything was perfect. All the other food, good wine, excellent service. We went on a weeknight, so it wasn't too crowded. Quiet lovely meal.
Excellent brunch spot. Good number of choices and each dish that we had was excellent. Go and enjoy!
I love going to Jane’s for brunch. They have amazing biscuits and a variety of tasty items. Our waitress was Maria, and she was awesome! It is a very popular brunch place, so it is best to make a reservation Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Solid, although I felt like I was sitting at the same table As the people next to me.
Giggle, great food, and hip crowd. Love love love!
Excellent food and service but tables on top of each other and noise level bothersome
The food was good and the staff was very helpful and made the visit very enjoyable.
They have the best french toast I ever had! definitely going here again for it.
Great share plates and sandwiches. Excellent choice of Happy Hour cocktails and wines
Family brunch. 6 of us. A rave on the food, drinks, service, restaurant decor from all 6 of us.
We’ll be back - often.
Food and service were excellent but ambiance was degraded by music that was not conducive to a comfortable environment playing way too loudly.
In the past I've always had great experiences here. This time we were not seated until approximately 50 minutes after our reservation time. A "food club" was put at our table at our assigned reservation time so we had to wait which was extremely frustrating, especially with two young children in our party. The service (which is normally great) was lacking - the waitress was very nice and personable but not particularly attentive (forgot to put in several items in our order, had to be flagged down several times, etc). The food was great as always but based on the unnecessary wait time and mediocre service I will be taking by business elsewhere in the future.
Server was nice but clearly overwhelmed and absolutely unable to react to my friend’s virtually uneaten dinner. I would have thought that someone would ask if there might be something else that could be offered as an alternative, etc., but nothing. My food was just ok - barely - and the overall vibe was just not the kind of experience I would want to repeat.
Food was amazing! Service was good. Short rib hash- delicious
We ordered our cocktails & food at the same time and somehow our food came out before our drinks and it was cold / the "poached" eggs were more like hard boiled or they had been sitting under a heat lamp and congealed. We very nicely explained that the food was cold / not cooked correctly. They were very nice and re did the food, which once it came out again was nice and hot & cooked correctly although we did notice the portion sizes had drastically decreased. The server was super nice and friendly and the drinks were delicious. the food was also very good once it was sent out again just very weird, there were several people who had been sitting there when we were seated who had not had their food yet but ours came out so quickly it must've been an earlier mistake or something and they tried to serve it to us. I would give it another shot though because they do normally have very good reviews
Service and the cucumber ginger ale was fantastic. However, my Jane Benedict didn't taste fresh. It tasted as if the crabcakes were nearing its expiry date. We decided not to take it up with our server since she was so busy, and we didn't want to send it back either--we left it as it is. Should have gone for the salmon benedict instead.
Noisy neighborhood favorite with good, straightforward dishes and prices!
Hi — good great but not prepared as requested —
Eggs were not over light —( not over at all )
Bacon was not crispy —actually did not eat one slab / too raw & fatty —-
Have had great meals previously at Jane. Service was poor this visit and food not their best.
