Jams - NYC
Sad that Barbuto is gone but relieved that Jonathan is still rocking it at Jams! Best chicken in the city!!!
We came here bc barbuto closed, but nothing came close to how good Barbuto was. The chicken was not great. Nor was the kale salad. The strip steak was good and so was the blueberry pie but the rose sorbet and summer pudding were 👎🏻. Our server was super nice and got us what we needed when we asked but we always had to ask! Like, Can we order drinks? Can we order dinner? Can we order dessert and coffee? Can we have the check please?
Maybe should of given it 3 stars but it wasn’t bad.
The steak was as tough as leather. Service was cordial.
We had two constraints: a show at City Center and an allium allergy, and the great team at Jams accommodated both with a smile. Our server Bruce worked with the kitchen and us to navigate the menu and adapt dishes to our needs. The food came quickly despite being special ordered. Though it’s in a hotel, the vibe was very New York, not touristy. It’s a fun space with great food and great service.
My experience at Jams was absolutely wonderful. Great food, great service and it was just a wonderful experience. I highly recommend the Jams chicken and the gnocchi. I will definitely return.
Great Staff, very flexible and helpful. Terrific farm to table food. Excellent choices throughout the menu. Something for everyone- even the super picky!
Trendy ambiance, comfy, highly recommend!
I came here with my family to celebrate father’s day and we had such an amazing time. Loved every single thing. The desserts are so creative and not super sweet which is a plus. Thank you!
Everything was wonderful! A little noisy which was difficult for me as I have a softer voice but somewhat expected. The waiter was pleasant and attentive. Oysters were fresh. Entrees offered generous portions. Drinks were mostly amazing. The peach mock tail was delicious and refreshing. The wine was well suited to the meal. But the mint hot tea lacked any flavor. I wish they offered a better tea experience. I’d recommend but next time I’d like to sit outside so I could chat more with my guest.
Excellent staff, from the Maitre’d to the waitstaff, including a very knowledgeable sommelier. The food is always tasty and the current chef is doing a great job with a seasonal menu. They recognize and greet us by name. - nice to be appreciated!
Well we had to ask for a waiter. When he cane it was the manager who just simply said... what would you like? Then the order was wrong and was actually still wrong when it came out but since my husband had already got his food, I just went with it.
Had to ask for refills of water and our check.
We loved this restaurant close to our hotel. It has a limited menu, but everything we ordered was done to perfection. We ordered the soft-shell crab, poke, duck breast and chicken dishes as well as a raw vege salad. All were outstanding. The waiter we had was also great!
Food was okay, service was a bit slow. Latte eventually arrived after we’d had the breakfast
Everything about our dining experience was OUTSTANDING! Hostess was kind on entry, our server was extremely knowledgeable of the menu, the food was INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS, our waters stayed full, the wine was fantastic and the staff got us out of there quickly when the meal had ended. Plus the restaurant was beautiful and spacious! Park proximity is a huge plus as well.
Great friendly service (Julie) and everything, gnocchi, steak, shaved salad and wine excellent.
Great food and service. Fair price for a fancy place in a nice area
only had nteakfast but everything was fresh!
Food is always fantastic, as is the service—always friendly and warm! We love Jams!
Great place for graduation lunch celebration! Highly recommend!
The atmosphere was nice. The food was great! The only thing that bothered our company is how long we waited for our food.
What an amazing place to have Sunday brunch! We enjoyed the atmosphere, server, and food! Definitely recommending to anyone visiting NYC!
Fun place good service reasonable prices
California inspired cuisine
Good food. And great location around the corner from Central Park!
Excellent dining option in Midtown. great food and atmosphere.
Good food, excelent service
Great Mother's Day brunch! Delicious variety of dishes ... we loved the organic and locally sourced ingredients.
We enjoyed a very nice evening at Jams with delicious food in a comfortable atmosphere. We loved the roast chicken and poke appetizer. Since it is close to Central Park we took a stroll through the park on our way to Jams where spring was in full bloom. Most of the menu is gluten free which we really appreciated.
Unless you want to be subjected to a class system, avoid. Maybe they do not realize they are in the hospitality business? I had a reservation to follow our Broadway matinee. The restaurant was barely 10% occupied. But we were shown to a table just outside the restroom. We asked to be seated in another section, completely empty at the time. We were told that is for "VIPs". So we sat. After multiple patrons waited for the restroom, we had enough. We are New Yorkers, we were appropriately dressed, we are Open Table VIPs (though I doubt that's what they meant), and we were livid. This was our Mother's Day family day. And that pretentious hostess ruined an otherwise lovely day. After we ordered, I was ready to leave, as my wife was incredulous at this situation. We asked to move again. The hostess had the gall to ask, "Oh, would you like to sit over there?", pointing to where we initially asked to be seated. So we moved. Our server, Julie, saved the meal, she was wonderful, attentive and very nice. So you know, there were no large parties, no VIPs, and more than half the tables remained available for the 2 hours we were there. @JonathanWaxman, is this how you run your restaurants? Do you train your staff to guess who is VIP and who is not, and to verbalize it to your patrons faces?? Deplorable! Never again. Oh, the food was pretty good, not worthy of the prices, however. But everything is over-shadowed by your despicable host staff, who sets the tone for the meal and experience. Julie, none of this is about you, you were great.
Great food. The scallops are always amazing and the asparagus soup was also delicious. Would go back.
Disinterested wait staff diminishes pretty good menu and execution by the kitchen
Sunday brunch. Good food but slower than usual service
Refreshing and relaxing atmosphere in the middle of a busy Central Park neighborhood. Brunch was absolutely delicious and yet so simply made. Could've stayed for hours!
Really good cocktails. Mezcal one is great. Food is also very good. Gnocchi and chicken were best dishes.
Great for drinks and snacks. Lovely spot in midtown.
Everything was delicious and the service was attentive. We would definitely come back.
The quality of the oysters was very disappointed. The thinnest I ever had. Was hard to taste it aa it was so small.
Great food and service, a little loud but fun. I highly recommend
Been there before; nice setup/good vibes. On this visit, burgers were a bit dry and food was warm, not hot.
One of the biggest restaurant fails ever.
Gave our food to the next table, who told the runner it wasn't theirs. As did we. He argued with both of us and walked away. They started to eat our food (out of frustration?) Waiter came out, said both tables had same order, which the other table denied. He told me I was wrong. Took up all the time we had for lunch and had to leave hungry.
We had an app of tuna poke that came out earlier. Was 18 bucks for like 6 small cubes of tuna. Pretty poor showing there too.
